I'd pick David Haye to K.O Dave Allen and you know that Haye is in a wheelchair these days.
That's how bad Allen is.
One of the worst fighters in history to ever headline a show in my Op.
Audley would beat Allen for Christ sake.
Thompson did not out class him, he was being beaten up 'Until Haye tired out' and then was stopped on his feet 'Still gamely wavering him on to fight etc' That was the Impetus for the rise of the Hayemaker 'No real shame in losing to Thompson at that stage'.
I am not deluded, I am stating historical facts 'David Haye won 99.9% of his biggest fights' he won all of his title fights, all accept Wladimir Kiltschko.
.
If David Haye had not won 99.9% of his biggest fights, he would not have become the WBA, WBC, WBO & Ring Magazine Cruiser-weight champion aswell as the WBA World Heavyweight Champion.
The Kiltschko's did not dethrone Nikola Valuev because David Haye did 'For a long time in British boxing, there was nobody BUT David Haye carrying the mantle' the man was a maverick.
What's up.
I see Haye is one of your favs. Same with me here..
No need to defend him on here. He is a future hall of famer for sure.
His comeback wasn't successful but it was all taped on film to see how much of a challenge he had to take on.
He will eventually bring out a full 2h documentary about this, at least that was the plan.
The awful ending against Bellew in the rematch where he could hardly walk is now a negative end, so I have no idea when he is going to release it or if they scraped the project.
A good mate of mine was part of the early filming when they started around 2012.
Knowing him from back in the day but no the current yes man around him I don't even feel safe to say he is done for good. The BBBoc are a joke anyways, who gives a guy with two torn huge muscle groups inside 12 months a license? Lmao
Kind of hard to go out like that but who knows how ****ed his body really is maybe he can't even train at all now.
They started shooting the documentary right after he had absolutely savaged Chisora in July 2012.
That was at his all time best. I believe they had him on a 6month training hiatus because his body was so stressed from the ridiculous training he did for that fight.
The first fury camp and the two pullouts (short footage was shown by sky before the Wilder Stiverne fight) includes more of the sparring footage as well, he floored guys multiple times (not Wilder).
That short highlight clip shows nothing. They were going all out in this camp which unfortunately led to the shoulder tear.
After his rotator cuff tear he began rehab and eventually was ready to train again in early 2015.
Booth and most of the old team were gone by that time already all advised him to end it for good.
Then the next "career ending" injury. He had to get a complicated back surgery with metal plates installed in his lower back.
Rehab involves having to learn to walk again from scratch.
It's a miracle Haye could get back into shape the way he did and a testimony to his warrior spirit that he always had.
The Bellew losses are included as well and I have no info from that point onwards since Haye threw all his old mates out and changed his team completely.
I have no idea who let him take that rematch after a Achilles tear (12months+ rehab)
Then he tore another bicep (he had torn one before) which is another 6months rehab but he still continued..
Result was a completely shot fighter against a fit pudding (Bellew)
Felt horrible seeing him go out like this, especially since the first match was the perfect way to go out like a warrior.
Something tells me the rumors about him being skint were true.
His wife divorced him in 2016 & he made some awful investments in Dubai.
The 10M from the Bellew losses maybe were worth it to him, sadly kinda of damaged his legacy.
If the documentary never comes out it would be a waste. Hope we will see it some day.
Will be back to discuss ;)
PS: also working on a career tribute video atm. "Rise and fall of the infamous Hayemaker DH" lol
I have all the old funny clips of him and some unseen footage.
Will post it up when it's finished
Cheers guys
How is this drugs cheat Spence not banned ?
Stunting Gyno like that at sub 10% BF ... Come on who the **** are you guys fooling here ?
No chance someone Natty or with puberty gyno has that at this level of condition.
Bruh
Haye in his final form before the first career ending injuries (July 2012) is one bad mofu****
I wouldn't be shy to say this boy was one of the most dangerous punchers of the last 30 years.
Compared to Wilder who benefited from the "Hype Social Media era" Haye actually had several elite level K.Os too. Wilder's got a big 0 in that realm, or does a fat Stiverne in that rematch count
48 year old Ortiz ? Lmao
Sadly the Vitali Haye fight never happened, am sure K2 knew this would not go well as Vitali was basically a sitting duck towards the end of his career.
Also, In my Op Chisora now in 2020 is way beyond shot.
If you just take a look at the Gashi fight. Barely landed a glove..
That slow plodding style. He still has his big engine but overall a pretty steep decline from the guy that pushed Vitali.
Usyk vs Chisora (I am seriously doubting it will happen with the crisis now)
Is still very interesting since Haye will have Chisora come in blown up and pushing hard the first couple of rounds.
Usyk is worlds away from a prime Haye in terms of punching power, but he has tremendous foot work (in all directions) very good technical boxer.
Can see Usyk UD over 12, just can't see a Chisora K.O at this stage.
Prime Chisora very different story ...
Ps: can anyone imagine Chisora gets a W lol
We'll see A.J vs The donkey in late 2020 haha
Brezel Is a weird guy and a sub par below average HW boxer in my Op.
Perhaps because this era is extremely weak he seems ok?
Can you imagine Brezel competing with Samuel "who necks" Peters ?
Peters would have knocked Brezel into space.
He literally would have not even picked his hands up once. Lmao oh boy..
People call Wlad and Vitali's Era weak. This era is really weak.
I would make Brezel vs Dave Allen or David Price two of the biggest bums in British HW boxing history, a decent matchup.
Why not call in clenbuterol Browne into the equation ? Lmao
I made like 500£ on the Wilder Brezel fight. Called it like it happened. You gotta remember boxing is a mental game.
Dominique was shaking more than Tony Bellew against Haye 1, before Wilder came into the ring. You could see his teeth and knees visibly tremble with fear before Wilder entered the ring.
Dbol boy Whyte might be a steroid cheat but he is game as hell. This dude wants is badly trust me. I have seen him train. The guy goes all out.
Absolute Savage.
If you aren't a world class operator that really knows what they're doing you will have a very hard time against Dbol Whyte.
Therefore I would pick Dbol Whyte by murder.
Not sure what he has left, looked like a pudding against Wach.
PS: ON a serious note. Has anyone seen Brezel and G.Davis on that Punching machine ? How did a 260lbs guy score less point than a 130lbs manlet ? Bruh ..
Scott Steiner was a legend. Damn
Now to the article.
Vitali's best W is Corey Sanders in my Op.
Would Corey Sanders kill Fury prime for prime ?
In my Book he kills him and smiles, absolute destruction. He would have fun too.
Now that's different eras but still. Sanders tough as nails, just imagine what he'd do to Wilder?
Older Vitali was not the same. Granted Chisora had an 1A Iron chin, Vitali probably had his hardest night against the Donkey there in Munich.
Haye punished the Donkey afterwards but that's a different story.
All time Vitali for me is way behind Wlad.
Wlad in his prime with Steward in the corner and his foot-speed in tact was a beast !
Wlad Top 10 HW all time
Vitali Top 30
