I've never seen him fight, but I keep hearing about him and now he's been added to the card on the weekend on Whyte vs Parker, and all I keep seeing is that people are not going to buy the PPV just to see him fight!!
Is he really that good?
Are they building up to a Dave Allen vs Joshua showdown in the future?
Thinking bout buying the PPV now just to see this guy fight.
Promotional Wizard.
Can't stand him personally, but he's ace at his job.
Yep, probably the smartest promoter in the business. Especially how he mentions career high multipliers instead of splits when disclosing offers to the press.
I'd pick David Haye to K.O Dave Allen and you know that Haye is in a wheelchair these days.
That's how bad Allen is.
One of the worst fighters in history to ever headline a show in my Op.
Audley would beat Allen for Christ sake.
Wow you guys absolutely called it. He's a future champion in the making.
Just wanted to bump this to give props to the people who replied to this thread DAYS ago saying that Allen is a beast and a future champ in waiting.
Well played guys.
Eddie Hearn is a genius. Do you think if guys like Sam Eggington and Dave Allen were signed with someone else we'd be talking about them?

Hell no, he is not a future champion. Boxrec ranks him as the 162nd best heavyweight in the world. Bocrec gives him one and a half stars out of a possible five stars. He has a pro record of 13 wins, 2 draws and 4 losses and he has already been KOed twice. He is a perfect future cherry pick opponent for Tyson Fury.
He's got a great personality, has a really good fan base because of that. Such a likeable character. Limited talent wise, British championship level at most. Which is a greater achievement than 90% of boxers will achieve anyway.
No he's just a very endearing journeyman. People give him heightened praise because they feel sorry for him. He knows he isn't that good, so he doesn't train properly and treats it all like one big joke.
Thanks guys. I'll be buying it now just to watch this kid fight, need to see this hearing so many good things about him.
Didn't even know they called him Doncaster de la Hoya, he must be special then.
