No friend, i wasn't referring to the judges nationality to the reason on how fights in Germany have been scored.
I was referring to them being paid off to have a certain fighter awarded a decision when they didn't deserve it.
Abraham hasn't had that problem in his career yet but it doesn't mean it can't happen especially with a fight as big as this.
I am just hoping for a good competitive fight with fair judging.
B/c of this tourney being financed by one of the biggest pay-tv corp. in the US I think, that there will be fair scoring applied...
wtf? you just changed your location.
and why do you like a guy who rapes women?
yea.
It wasn't even proven...so I won't prejudge anybody just someone said so...it shows your pure bias against Abraham...
Taylor has the advantages in size, speed, boxing ability and experience.
Hopefully he fights good enough to get a win in germany.
That doesn't seem likely though with the judges they have over there. :fu2:
Right, we shouldn't use American judges... :usaribbon
Seriously, in most of AA's title defenses there were at least 2 impartials (judges or ref) from the US...
If this work out was open to public it did poor drawing numbers...compare this to Abraham, Taylor's work out in Berlin today - there where about 250 people in attendance...
When will this guy Kessler start to train. I'm getting slightly worried.
He's already started I learned today but might get an interview with him on Saturday about this topic...
Looking forward to it Tom. Did you read my post above? On danish TV there was a short interview where he didn't look supremely confident.
He did look fast on the pads at the press training though.
Only saw Abraham being interviewed by Danish TV, afterwards I got to Ozell and then had some fun with Lou :D ...
Taylor - Froch for me..
Kessler will co-host the fights for danish TV. I'm looking forward to his reactions as well.
Hell Yeah, I might sit next to him... :wow:
Jermain has a 6inch reach advantage.. That will come in handy:boxing:
If he keeps Abe in that turtle shell and outside with the end of his jab, I dont see what Abe can do..
He is gonna have to leap in and that can be disastrous for him, Abe usually doesnt open his combos up with a jab, he leaps in with punches. Abe also isnt a pressure fighter pressing the action.. Abe starts off slow, Jermain needs to stay calm while bagging those early rounds so he can have something left when Abe starts to come on.... Taylor has so many advantages, style wise and physically..
As stated in another thread, Abraham thinks that footwork and timing is the key to win, which sounds like that he and his coach have worked out a strategy that suits him vs. Taylor - negate the reach and try to work inside. Though, he also needs the stamina to do so...if he has it, this fight really comes down to footwork as he said - so we'll find out if Abraham's footwork is underrated or assumed right on the button by a lot of people here on the board...
I mean 2.5/1 ? Thats crazy.
If anyone should be the underdog its Abe..
Jermains level of competition is head and shoulders above Abes..
This will be BY FAR the best fighter Abe has ever fought.
And Jermaine is MUCH MUCH bigger and talented IMO..
Abe is 5'9 and Taylor is 6'1 with a major reach advantage. Im looking to bet on Taylor and make some money.
Me, too. Odds are rediculous not to bet on Taylor... :bling:
It's gonna be a a US ref for Abraham vs. Taylor...as I said, I heard the name Smoger at the beginning of this week, but lets wait for tomorrow's weigh-in...
I actually think Ward is Taylor made (no pun intended) for Jermaine. He doesn't have the work rate nor explosive power to give Jermaine any problems. Truth be told...I have never seen Jermaine out boxed, which is what Ward will have to do to beat Jermaine. If Winky and a Prime B-hop couldn't really do it, then I highly doubt Ward does.
I guess we're on the same page... :headbang:
Taylor is the bigger man too. He's more used to 168 than Abraham is.
I was at the weigh in today and got close to both man...and, oh boy, AA's neck and shoulder is a whole lot more than JT's with their arms (thickness) look about the same...though AA is 3,5 inch smaller than JT...
I was also pretty shocked by how much BIGGER Taylor is then Abraham
Taller, not bigger...btw, what about JT coming to the ring to "Smooth Criminal" - guess that this is a good song for this fight...
It's good that there's no German or American judges. Sometimes they might favor their fighter.
I don't like Cavaleri as a judge...to me, the best Italian Judge is Raffaele Argiolas.
