I would like to see that fight, but both Bivol and Canelo have fights left at their respective weights:
Bivol should fight Beterbiev in a unification fight. And if Bivol wins he should try and unify with the Kovalev/Alvarez winner. I doubt Jack or Adonis would fight Bivol on DAZN.
Canelo should fight Jacobs in May in a unification bout. It would be a great test for Canelo and a great fight.
After these fights, your idea sounds great.
You would have to be retarded to believe that Wilder is greater than Wlad.
Wilder avoided Wlad AND Vitali! Both of the Klitschko brothers would KILL Wilder in a fight. Here are Wilder's 2 best wins in context:
1. Luis Ortiz -- Old man, off the PEDs and was using blood pressure medication. He also lost to Odlanier Solis 5 times in the amateurs (Solis, IIRC, got stopped by Vitali in one round).
2. Bermane Stiverne -- Bum. Struggled with a shot, past-it Chris Arreola -- Arreola in his prime lost to Adamek, a 175lber who also got stopped by Vitali.
There is NO comparison, not yet anyway. If Wilder goes on to beat Fury, Joshua, Usyk and others you could create an argument.
Meh. I don't see anything special with the guy. He is a carbon-copy of Broner at 130lbs-135lbs: A flashy counter-puncher with major character flaws. He gets hit very clean and often, his power is overrated and he has a low-ring IQ. However -- I could be wrong about the guy -- that is why I want to see him fight the top guys at 130lbs -- Machado, Berchelt, Farmer and obviously Lomachenko.
Hmmm. The FOX ratings aren't that terrible in my view.
If we look at the last 6 UFC on FOX events, they averaged 2.125M viewers. The last 6 PBC on FOX events averaged 1.56M viewers.
Note that UFC are in process of negotiating a TV deal, and are asking for around 450 million dollars per year. They currently get 90-100 million dollars per year. If FOX miss out on UFC, they could definitely fill up their empty slots with more PBC cards imo.
Fury is so pathetic, it's unbelievable. This man is 100lbs overweight, got caught using nandrolone, got caught using coke and hasn't fought in 2 years and yet he is talking as if he is still the man. It's clear he wants a payday fighting Joshua so his fatass can continue his lifestyle of eating like a pig and doing coke.
Have you ever actually seen Ronald Gavril fight?
Yes. I saw him fight some dude on FS1. He hasn't faced any decent competition yet. Benevidez,to me, is by far the best prospect in the 168lb division. I think he beats most guys at 168.
I hope Clev got a big payday in this one. Does sound a bit off to not sign the fight again until weeks before by TMT. Poor sportsmanship if nothing else.
Clev's been in some rough fights and he's got a bit about him outside the ring so hopefully he hasn't had the mathematics degree punched out of his head.
I'm with Tony Montana. Clev looks done to me. Braehmer got an injury and Clev gutted it out like always but even in that he was getting hit very hard by a good puncher - many times. He is conditioned very well and has great stamina and a good chin but I fear for him a little bit.
100% I think Jack will stop him late. And I suppose Clev could hang around and face Buglioni, Yarde, and Burton but hopefully he has made his dough.
He's an old 30.
According to Jack, Cleverly was asking for too much money. So TMT cancelled the fight and Jack was supposed to fight Eleider Alvarez, but Alvarez got injured so that why the fight was signed so late.
Ya PBC sure put on a terrible, boring, card last night huh? You really have nothing to back your statement up. Alot of PBC cards have been very entertaining if you step back, with an ubiased opinion, and look at the fights and the entertainment value they have presented. If Arum continues to put on as many cards as PBC has I GUARANTEE he produces the same amount of "crappy matchups". You are just an idiot who wont like anything Haymon has done.
It seems Al had the right idea way before Bob. Which he did about Floyd too.
I enjoyed the PBC card last night. However if you can't see the absolute failure PBC is, then there is no hope for you. They had $400M invested, what do they have to show for it? 3 lost deals (ESPN, NBC and Spike), only 2 deals left (FOX and Bounce). They still have no stars as part of their stable, this is because of inactivity. Do you think exciting guys in their primes like Charlo bros should be fighting 1-2 a year?
I hope PBC sticks with FOX and the occasional showtime card and tries to build from there, but there is no doubt that Haymon's initial plan of bringing boxing back to the masses via free TV has not been successful.
How is it a Trash Fight?
Who should Parker fight? Wilder and Ortiz is out, Joshua and Pulev are out.
Jennnings is better or at least on same level as every other Heavyweight available apart from Povetkin, who needs to fight clean a few times before he deserves a title shot again.
It's a boring match up, to me. Regarding who Parker should fight, it simple: he should squash a bum either in New Zealand or Japan and then have a unification fight with AJ (who intends to fight 3 times in 2018) in early 2018.Career wise, that would be the best option for him.
If Floyd can make Jack/Stevenson and Tank/Machado in the 1st quarter of 2018, then follow up with big fights in the 3rd or 4th quarter, say Tank/Berchelt (if Tank wins) and Jack/Browne or Alvarez (assuming Jack wins) then it will be a big year.
I believe the first two fights will happen. Ellerbe did say recently in interview that Gervonta will be fighting for a title next, so unless it's Farmer in March I'm guessing it's Machado.
As for Berchelt-Davis that won't be happening. What's more likely to happen is that Gervonta will be fighting some mandatories in Baltimore, where they would try and sell out arenas.
HBO putting on another garbage main event. Jacobs should be facing a legitimate contender not Spike or Andy Lee (who hasn't fought anyone decent in 3 years).
