Ratings for PBC on FOX and Showtime 1.4M & 442K

Awful numbers.

lol terrible ratings. whoever keeps putting lara in the main event needs to be fired. Lara last fight was so bad that SpikeTV said they were done and ended their relationship with PBC. lol And yet he headlines again this time on showtime so bad that fans literally booed him all night and the ones who didn't boo simply walked out in the middle of his fight. Showtime didn't choose this headline, haymon did. The real question is what compromising pics does Lara have of haymon? That is the only explanation for him still headlining cards. This ain't the first time he's been booed, fans have walked out him in past fights, etc. That's his reputation being boring, or running, stinking up the joint. Bury this guy on non televised undercards.

National Amusements already split them apart, and assuming that they'd be put back together is a mistake nobody said theyll be put back together, but they are sister companies with the same owner. so saying there was no coordinating between cbs/showtime/spike/haymon is ridiculous.

Terrible ratings. Lara is basically toxic for fans. foolish showtime letting him headline. Fans booed throughout the fight. Well the ones who stayed. Fans walked out mid fight in disgust. By the time the fight was over more then half the arena was empty. Terrible look for showtime. And easily avoidable you had better fights on the card to headline.

And both are part of National Amusements. Amazing how many times you guys get this wrong thread after thread even after being corrected. My mistake. But no need to use offensive words like idiots.

but they dont want to be a male oriented violence driven network anymore. they want to go after females with scripted dramas and milk their film library to cut costs. the paramount network is going to focus on movies they already own and going after female viewers. they dont want to be a male focused combat sports destination anymore. the only thing that saved bellator was the fact that they already owned it. the paramount network is for movies they own, the fight league they own, and some of the savings spent on original dramas to go after women. spike got rid of boxing because spike isnt going to exist anymore. no because they own bellator. but they added boxing to take spike in a sports direction. then it was decided to revamp as the paramount network and focus on movies to attract female viewers. which meant reducing the amount of sports. so of course they got rid of what they didnt own and kept what they did own. Hmmm. The FOX ratings aren't that terrible in my view. If we look at the last 6 UFC on FOX events, they averaged 2.125M viewers. The last 6 PBC on FOX events averaged 1.56M viewers. Note that UFC are in process of negotiating a TV deal, and are asking for around 450 million dollars per year. They currently get 90-100 million dollars per year. If FOX miss out on UFC, they could definitely fill up their empty slots with more PBC cards imo.

And CBS and Viacom are both owned by National Amusements. So again, Spike and CBS are part of the same company. Spike got rid of boxing because the channel is being completely overhauled and rebranded. Bellator is still there tho. Is Bellator leaving too? Bellator has not only MMA but Kickboxing also. And while both are under NA they (CBS and Viacom) are seperate entities if that makes any sense.
