Yeah, Mayweathers shoulder was hurt or something, but he still lost in my opinion.
Pacquiao fought Marquez at 130 and was a little drained at that weight. At 140 Manny would murder him.
Mayweather could have knocked Marquez out if he would've just thrown more punches.
IF Khan throws alot of punches it will overwhelm Marquez (look what Juan Diaz did), and he will end up getting ko'ed by an accumulation of flush shots. That is if Khan doesn't go down in the process.
The verdict : MARQUEZ DOESN"T BELONG ANYWHERE ABOVE 135!!!
Mosley is a devestating body puncher, so I'd work on his left hook to the body. That, speed, and combos. Floyd might duck the first punch, but if Shane throws 3 punch or more combo, Floyd will get hit.
i'll blame them both...but more of that will be for manny...there are so many conflicting stories and excuses coming from roach and arum that it makes their whole crew look bad...floyd has been quiet in all of this...and the blood test is his only demand...pac is too freaked for some reason...so the majority of the blame will be on him for not just taking the ****ing blood test and getting on with the fight...then he sues? that female shit to me, son...
Pac AGREED to blood test within 24 hrs of the fight bro, theres 0% manny could hide anything wit that time frame. Team Mayweather already KNOWS THIS, they just want to disrupt Pacs rythym to gain upper hand in mind stat
in all honesty, i really dont think Floyd jr believes pac will cheat in their upcoming bout, the Mayweather camp is accredited with Floyd SRs words much too often. whether that be the case or not, heres something JR could say to bring this fight together:
"The additional tests are in no way, shape, or form, a use of propaganda to question Pacquiao's past victories. this WILL be the biggest fight of all time, so NOTHING short of the best, including the BEST tests, will be looked passed
"Manny Pacquiao, i don't think you have cheated, or will cheat against me for that matter. i do not share the views of my father and will not condone them in any way.
"And Paulie Malignaggi, **** off you nancy."
etc etc... along the lines of that, well maybe not the last part.
i GAURANTEE you, if floyd JR said something like that, Manny would have a change of heart and make the BEST FIGHT OF ALL TIME happen.
anyone else think floyd JR is accredited to SR's word of mouth much too often?
Here an example of why I see Manny as an honest guy. Pac took so many INTENTIONAL low blows from Agapito Sanchez that even my balls started to hurt! And did Pac respond unsportsmanlike, NO!
No wonder Manny doesn't like fighting black guys, all they do is him him in the balls and spread lies about his country!!!
Pac AGREED to blood test within 24 hrs of the fight bro, theres 0% manny could hide anything wit that time frame. Team Mayweather already KNOWS THIS, they just want to disrupt Pacs rythym to gain upper hand in mind state
Wrong.
Pac wants a blood test in January, tests 30 days from the fight, and one after.
http://sports.inquirer.net/breakingnews/breakingnews/view/20091227-244161/Pacquiao-firm-on-30-day-blood-test-limit
It's both sides fault if the fight doesn't happen.
Pac will take blood test DAY AFTER FIGHT as well. there is nowhere for pretty boy to hide!!
The issue is, only an idiot would buy into the "It will mentally effect him" crap. As I said; issue was more due to the fact that Pacquiao was already in the 130 mark and didn't eat after getting his blood drawn. This was during a period where his body needed rest. That was at 130, difference there. At WW he came in at 143 against Cotto, so Pacquiao doesn't have to worry about that, understand? The problem here is that a 30 day cut off solve nothing, a 2-3 day cut off does, you understand that also? No offense man.
it's kind of like the placeibo effect. i have a feeling you dont know what that is, so look it up and learn something son. The placebo effect points to the importance of perception and the brain's role in physical health.
to say that it would not effect pac mentally is laughable in so many ways. this only proves you post hear in order to get attention, not to make a discernible argument.
Manny landed 65 power punches through 2 rounds against hatton
Paulie landed 25 power punches through 11 rounds against hatton
that fight would be competetive.
fighting paulies a bitch move there are more deserving guys
i think all this is just pre-fight buildup, i can see arum and schaefer laughing at us in the backround.
Why doesn't he sue him?
touche.
i really want the mayweather fight to happen. my main goal for this thread was to spit some facts out, i just keep reading complete bull on these forums.
nah, it's been too damaging for Pacquiao's reputation to be just to hype the build-up. Like it or not, Mayweather has managed to create a question mark over Pacquiao's clean record in the minds of many casual observers. Even if the fight goes ahead, Pacquiao should still sue him.
well, if its not just hype, then i think pac got the lawsuit as leverage in the negotiations. no doubt he has reason to file otherwise.
If I read and watched this video and other info on this subject clearly then........Pac's blood was being drawn for a physical not testing. Its my understanding that they also take considerably more blood for physicals than they do for PED testing.
good to know.one of the few posts with some decent info.
i heard about it, do you guys know the full story.
can someone explain it to me?
i dont want to ook at 100 posts befor i know lol
it all started when GBP richard schaefer told floyd sr that he thought pac was on roids (behind closed doors). then sr. (tool) made a whole lotta commotion by telling the grand rapids press the same shit he heard from schaefer.
fast forward to pacquiao vs mayweather. floyd demands pac take ADDITIONAL random blood tests without any reason as to why. pac responds as to say "of course ill take the additional tests if the DRUG COMMISSION wants me too, why would i go out of my way for you mayweather?"
this was all just mind games for mayweather until it spiraled out of control. i.e. pac thought he lost to morales in 2005 because he gave blood 2 days before that fight. hmm, i wonder if mayweather wanted the same advantage?
most of the posters here just say negative shit about pac for attention and have no knowledge at all.
To all of you dum dumb on this thread http://www.boxingscene.com/forums/showthread.php?t=344846 !!!
You phuckin don't get it do you?
Scully is not saying Pac should ask AIDS test for Floyd.
It was simply a comparison on how Mayweather was asking for stupid blood tests.
That anyone can just create some stupid stories and demand some other physical tests.

it's kind of like the placeibo effect. The placebo effect points to the importance of perception and the brain's role in physical health. i.e. if a doctor gives a patient a NEUTRAL pill and tells the patient it will make them feel better, 9 times out of 10 the patient will get better because he BELIEVES the pill has positive effects.
If Fraud Gayweather was a real true warrior he would be losing fights to guys like Rustico Torrecampo and Medingdong Singsurat...if Fraud have real balls he wouldn't have spent the last 10 years proving me wrong.
He has never been a favorite of mine, I agree on that. But the man can box, I want to see him lose a fight...I won't though. Pacquiao would get embarrassed by him horribly, I don't even think Martinez stands a chance...Fraud is real, he is here, and he is now.
Even if Mayweather beats every great fighter in this era, he will never truly represent what boxing is all about. OK, you may not understand what I'm saying, but maybe in the future, social comprehension will be more widely available.
There are crap mma fighters that make the sport look bad, just as well as crap boxers that make boxing look dreadful. Both sports also have elite fighters who have given fans true memorable experiences, ones that have made us fight fans in the first place.
You just sound like an ignorant prick who likes whining about things that he doesn't understand. I would give you a list of mma fighters and fights that would make you love the sport, but I don't want to waste my time or give the satisfaction to a narrow minded person like you.
Granted, Mayweather's fights are one sided because he has been blessed with the speed and reflexes God has given him, but the heart and soul that other boxers have produced throughout the years - which have developed me to love the sport, I have never experienced that enjoyment from a Mayweather fight.
I acknowledge that Mayweather is one of the best, but never was he one of my favorite fighters, and never did he bring the vigor of enthusiasm that boxing brings to my heart.
@SaintDJT:
Dont get me wrong, some fighters are also exciting to watch .. i.e the pacman. i understand what your saying about intensity. One of the best fights ive watched is Gatti VS Ward I. That intensity strikes my heart too. I think there are different levels to what people want to feel from a boxing match.
I really admire all boxers. The ones that i enjoy watching are the ones who make me go "wow" with their boxing skills and feats inside the ring due to cleverness and cunningness and knowledge of the game. Its one reason i really want to watch fights of Sam langford and Harry Greb, two guys who fought and defeated guys who were heavyweights and these guys were middle weights at best if i remember correctly.
Id wonder just what in the world are they doing in order to gain leverage over their opponents and how they are sub duing them. With boxing every step counts. It really is like chess. I prefer a skilled technician over physicallity, up to a certain point of all. Boxing implements all the elements and needs them all, i feel imo.
I like to see creativity too and effective use of style , flair and boxing technique and how one overcomes his opponent in the ring and by what means.
I have friends who are really annoying when it comes to boxing. they are hard core nut huggers of certain boxers so their passion gets in the way of their thinking.
And a lot of boxing fans are actually fans of BIG FIGHTS and not BOXING. They will watch the odd fight that is the current hype media wise.
A fan of boxing loves the sport and watchs as much as they can. Thats the difference.
But yeh, some people enjoy that intensity. Depends how they percieve the sport. I really do think everyone should box or get inside the ring even if its sparring at your local gym. It helps put thinks into a little more perspective when one realizes how different it is when ur in there and it surely helps increasing the awareness of watching boxing!
!!!!!
OK, it doesnt seem like you people understand me.
Let's examine this, what if there was a guy faster and more techinically superior than Mayweather. He would outpoint him and decisively win the match. If that person ONLY relied on his God given speed and technical skills to win the match, I would have respect for his talents, but in no way would that have produced the enamour that has made me love boxing in the first place.
your just throwing around names like a sensitive B!TCH just because you disagree lol
don't get emotional like a fukin FEMALE and DISCONNECT and go sit in the corner with a B!ITCHY ATTITUDE, if you disagree then jump in and debate and give your reason as to why you disagree
lol who the fuk are you suppose to be... Bert Sugar? lol  LOL at dudes on this forum that trying to act like they are just FULL OF BOXING KNOWLEDGE but instead of talking boxing, they want to throw around names like a kid in Junior High School lol
First of all, there were ZERO names involved in my statement.
Second of all, I was just trying to have a decent conversation with boxing fans who have followed the sport throughout the years.
YOU, have disgraced your name, (not necissarily your race), and have proven a CLEAR BIASED disposition on the subject at hand.
Your words are worthless to me, and please don't post a comment on here again.
you and i and others in this forum could really enjoy the exchanges of opinions/ideas or info relative to boxing if we could tone down if not totally eliminate negative comments; even as to the level of boxing knowledge or expertise of our co-posters here...
just a thought..
That would be a dream come true. But sadly there are those who say things that only exacerbate the emotions in an individual, contributing to the incoherency to ones post/reply on this site.
The only goal I meant for this thread was to have a reasonable, unbiased discussion between knowledgable boxing fans, but there are those who have proved otherwise. Granted, I really do appreciate those who have stated thier true comprehension of the sport.
I love boxing, I just want to have good times with people who understand the sport as I do. I understand that there are emotions that may get to peoples heads sometimes, but I'm just trying to discuss an unbiased view of the sport.
Cmon guys, grow the fck up, lets just have a good time and discuss the sport that we love.
LarryX, you're not even worth replying to. i_am_a_champ, that was a great post, and I agree with you 100 percent. Let me clarify something, its not that I don't enjoy Mayweather's superior talents as you have described, but there is just a certain lack of intensity that he doesn't produce.
I do enjoy and respect the fundementals of boxing, but Mayweather has never expedited the raw emotion that has made me love the sport
If Floyd was a true champion he would've fell when Shane hit him upside his head
I don't even know why you post. Either you're too dumb to recognize your posts are useless, or your just a child who wants attention. Either way, f*ck off kid.
Floyd should let his opponents hit him more so we can be happy
It seems like you just talk to just talk, putting no thought into your conversations. I really dislike those kind of shallow people, so try to prove me wrong, boy.
if All of Mayweather fights was like the Corley fight his ENTIRE CAREER...then he wouldn't be fight at 34 years old right now
and with Mayweather it is not just about Speed, I thought Zab Judah was faster then Mayweather, but Mayweather was the SMARTER FIGHTER
but that is the point since you mentioned the Corley fight...IT TAKES TWO to put on a GOOD FIGHT, Corley was able to bring the best out of Mayweather, so was Hatton and Mosley
Of Course a fight is going to be boring when one guy is doing what ever he wants and the other guys is struggling just to land one CLEAN SHOT  but that is not Mayweather's FAULT
this is not even about "DEFENDING MAYWEATHER" it is about DEFENDING GUYS WHO STILL ACTUALLY BOX and how fans ***** and complain about boxers who use ALL OF THEIR SKILLS and refuse to turn into BRAWLERS
What if Mayweather was a brawler, with all his skills intact - his defence, offence, etc., wouldn't that make him an even better fighter?
