Yes, I acknowledge Mayweather's superior technique and boxing ability, but there has not been one fight in his career where I thought, "Wow, this is one of my favorite fighters."
There have been so many boxing matches that have made me love the sport, the excitement, the passion, the drama, that is in the ring. Even though Mayweather may have a superior boxing ability than others, his performances have lacked the soul that boxing brought to my heart.
Ok, let me get a little psychological here. Maybe I'm biased because I'm not black, or maybe blacks are biased because Mayweather is black, or maybe there is another variable involved, the fact of the matter is CORRELATION IS NOT CAUSATION.
The point is, I love boxing. And even though Mayweather is as gifted as he is, he just doesn't bring the enthusiasm, the spark that made me love this sport. Don't get me wrong, I ACKNOWLEDGE THAT HE IS ONE OF THE BEST, and I even give him the edge over Pacquiao (slightly), but he is not one of my favorite fighters.
OK...WOW this dude is CRAZY hahaha
you make ABSOLUTELY NO SENSE and even other people posting in your thread agree
You know what, you are just a sad individual. I love this sport just as much as you do. All i want to do is have a friendly conversation about the topic at hand. If you want to generate controversey, that's your busisness, I want nothing to do with that. If this site is full of people like you, I will avoid it altogether.
You must have the wrong guy because I don't believe I've ever spoken to you before. Why all the bitchiness man? Why don't you trying addressing the issue as opposed to just calling people names, or making stuff up?
HE CAN'T!!!
And he tries to cover it up with these "I AM TOO GOOD TO RESPOND TO YOU" replies hahaha
First of all, there were ZERO names involved in my statement.
Second of all, I was just trying to have a decent conversation with boxing fans who have followed the sport throughout the years.
YOU, have disgraced your name, (not necissarily your race), and have proven a CLEAR BIASED disposition on the subject at hand.
Your words are worthless to me, and please don't post a comment on here again.

you and i and others in this forum could really enjoy the exchanges of opinions/ideas or info relative to boxing if we could tone down if not totally eliminate negative comments; even as to the level of boxing knowledge or expertise of our co-posters here...
just a thought..
That would be a dream come true. But sadly there are those who say things that only exacerbate the emotions in an individual, contributing to the incoherency to ones post/reply on this site.
The only goal I meant for this thread was to have a reasonable, unbiased discussion between knowledgable boxing fans, but there are those who have proved otherwise. Granted, I really do appreciate those who have stated thier true comprehension of the sport.
I love boxing, I just want to have good times with people who understand the sport as I do. I understand that there are emotions that may get to peoples heads sometimes, but I'm just trying to discuss an unbiased view of the sport.
Cmon guys, grow the fck up, lets just have a good time and discuss the sport that we love.
It is sort of true, Floyd doesn't have a career defining fight...except maybe Corrales but Corrales isn't a great fighter...
Hopefully a win over Pac would do that...
Maybe he should try throwing more than 20 punches a round. You know, actually DO something as opposed to taking a pot-shot and running like fvck. You know, it wasn't THAT long ago that judges penalized fighters for fighting the way Floyd does.

Dude throws closer to 40 to 50 punches per round and hasn't arguably ran from any fighter since the baldomir fight! And if he was as BORING as his haters say he is they wouldn't continue watch him. They would ignore his fights all together.
You are one of the posters on this site that really tick me off. You act like a knowledgable person in the sport, but you are just an ignorant hypocrite who says things just to make himself feel better. Please just go away.
Please tell me, what was it that made you love boxing?
Wait, I don't want to hear the response of a hyprocrite as yourself.

You should watch Mayweather vs. Augustus. That was a fucking war until Floyd decided to go into another gear and fuck up Emanuel Augustus.
forgot about that one
excellent performance
Floyd should let his opponents hit him more so we can be happy
interesting thread in that I tend to think this is more of a current mental state of the boxing fan nowadays
to me
Corrales
JLC I and II
Mosley
Chicanito
Gatti
were all exciting to watch. To me a fight does not have to be back and forth to be exciting you can see scintillating performances and get, at least for me, the same satisfaction.
it's also sad and funny to see a guy like JMM get more recognition now that he has slowed and has to resort more and more to trading than when he was dominating opponents with simple skill

Can someone post some compubox numbers for this clown?
No offense but going through this thread I've yet to understand what your saying.

You did the same thing he accused you of doing :haha:
You bitched and never got into the details, sad. Judging by the way you've responded to most posts on here, you were never looking for a decent conversation.

don't get emotional like a fukin FEMALE and DISCONNECT and go sit in the corner with a B!ITCHY ATTITUDE, if you disagree then jump in and debate and give your reason as to why you disagree

Even if Mayweather beats every great fighter in this era, he will never truly represent what boxing is all about. OK, you may not understand what I'm saying, but maybe in the future, social comprehension will be more widely available.

If Floyd was a true champion he would've fell when Shane hit him upside his head
I don't even know why you post. Either you're too dumb to recognize your posts are useless, or your just a child who wants attention. Either way, f*ck off kid.
You are a very sad and dumb person who i wont even waste my time explaining to. The thoughts you have expressed are very random and only show how deeply your mind is affected by societal conjecture.

If Fraud Gayweather was a real true warrior he would be losing fights to guys like Rustico Torrecampo and Medingdong Singsurat...if Fraud have real balls he wouldn't have spent the last 10 years proving me wrong.
He has never been a favorite of mine, I agree on that. But the man can box, I want to see him lose a fight...I won't though. Pacquiao would get embarrassed by him horribly, I don't even think Martinez stands a chance...Fraud is real, he is here, and he is now.
