TRBR is the only publication that matter that has him ranked #1.
Ring and ESPN (the other 2 that matter) have Golovkin at #1
So overall Golovkin is #1
If Crawford wasn't American, many of the writers who rank him #1 wouldn't if he was from another country.
This kid was given every opportunity to be the next Puerto Rican star and it seems like he threw it all away. Top Rank practically forced him down our throats, all he had to do was stay semi-disciplined and he would have bagged a decent payday or two before being exposed.
But he couldn't even be bothered to do that much. The red carpet was all laid out for him and he just let it go to waste.
Calling him a ***** seems kind of harsh, he took his lost standing and never looked at the corner to stop it.
The kid just wasn't cut out for the pro-life.
Jojo Diaz , since that other champions are Top Rank guys

Isn't Diaz with Golden Boy? Doesn't matter no one wants to see that fight. Berchelt or move back to 135lbs.
I missed the first fight Siablo but I'mma go ahead and put my picks in for the Showtime Tripleheader.
COMiC DON, Gervonta Davis, KO, 5-8, 2x
COMic DON, Broner, Decision, Close, 1X
Corrales was the 1 and only champ he missed weight they said Corrales was stripped but machado was still eligible to win the title. He knocks out the champ becomes new champ. Why split the titles now creating a regular and super title when the WBA said they are trying to consolidate and have only 1 champ per weight? And if you do split the belts why downgrade the man who beat the man and sanction a fight with a inactive cuellar who is coming off a loss and moving up from featherweight? There is no explanation but corruption. If you wanted you could of just mandated machado to fight either guy but it's obvious they want to gift tank another title. And cuellar going from unranked to number 1 ranked after the Davis fight was made is shady as phuk.
Totally agree friend, watch all these spineless commentators tonight not even mention the fact that Machado just one this title in his last fight and against the actual champion who beat the champ before.
The WBA has no respect for the fans or the fighters.
And didn't they just release a statement saying they were cutting down on all these secondary belts? How you gonna create two belts by downgrading the actual champion?
Why isn't any of the media speaking about this
Most of them just go with the wind and put up very little resistance this corruption.
Now the odd thing is Boxrec has Machado vs Corrales for the vacant WBA "Regular" Championship. But in Corrales previous fight he was the WBA "Super" Champion.
So the only thing I can see is that the WBA downgraded the title to Regular after Corrales missed weight.

I don't know the other divisions that well to judge.
I have to agree. People suddenly forget how they pulled this bullshyt on Ward. I suspect that the "usual suspects" who refused to give Ward #1 and decided to put P4P on hold (or completely dismiss it) in their minds will be quick to award it to Golovkin and celebrate the P4P concept.
That's ok though.
Ward was #1 since Nov, and Gennady is #1 now. It may have not come under ideal circumstances for either guy but fair is fair.
Hold on there machacho let's keep our fanboy bias at home, Ward was P4P #1 since April when Gonzalez lost not November.
I swear you fanboys can't just keep it 100. Always gotta sneak in some BS.
I voted Golovkin but would like to change my vote to Lara. Reason being is that Canelo got a good lesson in how to run during the Lara fight which helped him out during the Golovkin fight.
You're apparently the type of guy I was referring to. It's ok, you can't can spin it however you like to make yourselves feel better. I'm ok putting GG as #1 and don't need to snub him.
Not afraid of being honest.
But your post was the exact opposite of an honesty friend. Why you gotta make stuff up instead of just sticking to the facts?
...which is why Golovkin will have to wait til May for a crack at it.
At least Loma is fighting Rigo in December, so a W there makes him legit.
Right now, Bud is top dawg.
Mikey, Errol, Thurman, and AJ round out my top 5.
If Golovkin doesn't have an elite win than what elite win does Crawford have?
The DON is thinking you be having different standards for your favorite fighters.
who wins the return and how?
Well, my scorecard already filled out for the return bout. All we need it just one more judge to see it the correct way so we can reward the young stallion the win he deserves.
Its That much harder for a blind one, I'm sure
Can't say I ever met a blind judge but we do tend to get a lot of dust in our eye while judging. I don't why but I think it might be the atmosphere.
Kovalev tells andre ward "let's do a third one"; insists "1-1" and admits "i drank" after 2nd loss
when will u all admitt it?
So are you saying Ward lost the 1st fight?
If you are then you don't know anything about scoring a fight and should quit while you're ahead.
Lara plays rope a dope?
Rope a Dope? Is that what they're calling laying on the ropes when you get tired now? I think Lara should have thought him how not to use all his energy when running as well.
I've watched the fight 4 times and I've tried to find rounds to give Canelo, but I can't give him anymore than 5. He landed some good shots, but he fought too little. Seems like his jump to 160 and size increase has given him some stamina issues.
Well, you need to look harder!!! I found 10 rounds for him easily with one round that could have gone either way.
I'm not even being ironic or anything. Although I think you could have given round 8 to GGG, but that was a close round.
Canelo isn't getting credit for:
1. his body work and
2. dodging/blocking 94% of GGG's punches.
3. His power. GGG felt his power like it or not.
Also in the first half of the fight GGG was just following Canelo around the ring throwing out a lazy jab and an occasional power punch every now and then. It wasn't until about round 7 where he started to cut off the ring effectively.
People are giving GGG way too much credit for literally just coming forward and missing almost everything he threw. Canelo landed the cleaner more effective punches throughout the night - the best two punches of the night were his right and uppercut on GGG. GGG couldn't land much on Canelo besides the occasional jab.
Anyway, this is how I scored it:
C G
9 10
10 9
10 9
10 9
10 9
10 9
9 10
10 9
10 9
10 9
10 9
10 9
I had the same score watching it live but once I got a chance to rewatch it at home I gave Canelo another round making my final and unbias score 119-109 for Canelo.
I had it 116-113 Canelo I watched it without the biased commentary. It was close but I definitely thought he should've won. Lots of people backing GGG just because he's the more popular of the two, and because there's tons of casuals on here who really don't know s*it about boxing.
You had it a little closer than I did but still the right winner. People on here who pay to watch the fight think they can judge a fight better than someone who is paid to determine who won the fight.
They think just because Canelo is the young man he deserves to be robbed.
Your wasting your time. When it comes to Redd and Ward it's like internet love affair. But he's a good poster most other times yet still he's a hardcore Ward fanboy.
I see that now, can't trust them fanboys to keep it 100.
It's not like Ward was never #1 but he wants to shift the timeframe from April to November.
SAD.
You are aware of when the shift in the "bi-partisan" parties happened and the circumstances that caused it, right?
NON-STOP BOXING FORUMS!!!
Take your alternative history ass to lounge with that political BS Lil buddy.
sweet
you saying Howard Eastman beats anyone on GGG's record proves some kind of insane bias in your part
Robert McCracken lol..you're listing extremly padded records and your anology on resumes is also off kilter because Hopkins did indeed get the Job.. Now I wouldn't put on my resume that I was fired but if it was a major job that I gained a lot of experience I would definitely list it
That foo said, Howard Eastman!! What an insane amount of crazy on his part.
Davey Moore vs. Roberto Duran
David Reid vs. Felix Trinidad
You consider Moore fighting Duran being a step up to soon? i It would seem to me to be good matchmaking as Duran looked to be on the downside and Moore had already beaten a couple of champions and was a champion himself.
Plus he was much bigger.
