Maybe im just cold hearted..If they came back and said something about his brother i would just grab my pop corn and watch. He could have fought everyone he fought at their weight. Not at a catchweight. Also to say he was fighting fighters much bigger I think thats awesome. Go up to the weight class they are currently in not drain them. Nobody was fighting to beat pac they were fighting for the pay day. I understand its impossible to catch two fighters in their prime but JMM,Soto,Cotto with no catchweight to many to list would have been good fights. Everything has been a walk in the park for PAC since ODLH.

First of all, DLH called out Pac and came up with the catch weight for their fight. Against Cotto, Cotto was 145lbs, down from 146lbs vs Marg and most of his other fights, even Cotto himself admitted that 145lbs was his normal weight during weigh ins. Marg has fought at 147lbs many times way before Manny, so going down to 150lbs shouldn't have been a problem and he wasn't "weight drained", considering that at fight night he was 165lbs vs Manny at 148lbs. Furthermore, as i have posted in my last post, Floyd has done the same thing.

Cotto and Clottey. They were both coming off an extremely competitive fight against each other. Some thought Clottey edged it, some thought Cotto secured it with the KD. Either way, they were both withing the top three welterweights at the time (arguably). What's wrong with that? I seriously don't understand this notion that when someone loses, they are never the same and aren't good. Quite honestly, who would make more sense to fight at the time? Does everyone forget that A LOT of people were picking Cotto to beat Pacquiao? Or that a lot of people picked Hatton to win? And ODLH? People don't realize that from our standards today, "prime" is something that fades within a fight or two (from YOUR view). So with this mentality, do you realize how hard it is to catch an opponent in that seemingly rare moment in someones career? Because apparently Cotto, Hatton, and Clottey were never good fighters ever anyway, I suppose.
I gave him credit for Cotto more than Clottey. Can we admit Cotto was not the same after Margarito. Clottey gasses. All these fighters were picked for a reason. When people have Cotto beating Pac its because they want PAC to lose so they choose with emotion not their head. There will never be another TYSON...and no PAC is nothing like him...He doesnt have a killer instinct..From the 1st bell he was in there to hurt you...bad..Since Mike who have you seen with his style and speed and power in both hands. He didnt really start getting hit until later in his career when he fell off. He always had good defense because of his head movement. Rematch will be great...Cortez retiring would be greater...How do you stop the action repeatedly when they are still fighting? Maidaina should have never threw that elbow but did he really throw it with bad intentions? Cortez is a horrible ref and anyone else would have probably stopped the fight in the 10th. Khan has good talent but he wont get far when he meets the more polished fighters.
