The Roy Jones Jr. decade.
uhh Thats the 90s. We're in a new decade now. Pacquiao was named fighter of the decade that just ended. You did know that right?
Please its just another pathetic whiny crying complain from you floyd fans . Youtube ? lol who gives a **** about youtube . On this board i barelly if ever see racism , but ofcourse pacquiao fans are soooo racists :frown: .
I call it like I see it, and I done seen people calling the Mayweathers monkeys and niggirs right here on this board. Andre the Giant called Kamala a niggir too if I'm not mistaken lol Got a 357 pressed against his nappy head for the trouble. Kamala The Ugandan Giant > Andre!
Fighter Of The Decade...
True. Too bad he's the fighter of the Decade that doesn't have a proper name. What do you call the last decade exactly? The "Oh Ohs"? The "two-thousands"?
I never thought Floyd was a very intelligent person, just a great fighter, but now I'm thinking dude has mind control powers like Professor X or something.
The man is obviously trying to play mind games, but everybody believes this retirement shit and are crying about it on both sides.
All of you guys use your common sense for a minute and now ask yourselves who's dumb enough to leave 35-40 Million Dollars of guaranteed cash on the table for any reason? Gahdamn you dudes are clowns I swear!
Only our enemies are against Ali taking a stance as a man, not to be pushed around, and intimidated at a time when black people where being treated as less than human.
I say why bother arguing, and trying to convince people who hate the fact that you're even breathing the same air as they; to accept you and the things you hold dear?
An enemy doesn't deserve that courtesy, so to all you racist fukks who think a black man should "know his role" all I can say to you is Suck my black dikk.
True. Too bad he's the fighter of the Decade that doesn't even have a proper name. What do you call the last decade exactly? The "Oh Ohs"? The two-thousands? Poor Manny. Fighter of the Oh Ohs.
Dude, Floyd already lost by asking for OSDT from a smaller guy.
I really don't care about negotiations or OST. I'm talking about the actual BOXING in the ring. The fight has to be made eventually. I'm just telling people not to be setup for a trap of thinking because Floyd acts like a diva outside the ring that he's a diva inside the ring too. Lets get back to talking boxing. Let the suits worry about all that negotiating.
Totally agree with you man.
I was just watching Toney vs RJJ again earlier on today. What a technical fight! Looking at the intangibles, it's crazy how quickly they were adapting as the fight went on - RJJ was just that much more better because of his reflexes and awkwardness.
Right! It was like Spock vs Kirk in Chess. Logic isn't always superior. Especially when you don't know all the variables. Pacquiao would have to fight Floyd in a broken rhythm.
Yeah. Proof that Roy didnt have a long punishing career. In his prime the man was hardly ever touched. He just fell of hard and suddenly, so his faculties are still intact.
What has made this fight unappealing to me is that the Pacquiao fans have introduced the element of racism into the pre-fight discussions.
....not to mention the hostility and venom.
It really is no longer fun to be a boxing fan.
I always found that part Ironic too. I've never met a Filipino I didn't like so I was surprised when this racist venom started spewing from Pacs fans. Boxing definitely brings out the racist though. MMA too. It's just a fact of life.
Don't be an idiot bro. It would not be a monumental upset man.
What you doing is what you're accusing Pac fans of doing. And, that is diminishing what could be Floyd best win of his career.
When not only the two of the best fighters in the World but also the two best fighters in the division fight each other. Whoever wins is not called a monumental upset.
Fair enough. Thing about me is I'm really not on Floyds sack like that. I appreciate both fighters. It's obvious that Pacquiao and Mayweather have been careful about who they get in the ring with, but basing it just off of styles I'll say it would be a huge upset. I just don't think Pacquiao is supposed to beat Mayweather, let alone completely dominate "gayweather" the way some Pac fans think he will. Gayweather doesn't exist in that boxing ring. That's a gorilla-dog in there.
I love Roy, but **** you TS.

:bottle::bottle::bottle:
I love Floyd but **** you 2. He needs to make a statement against Pac
Relax. Roy and Floyd fans are the same for the most part, just a slight age difference. I'm just saying let's see Floyd go above and beyond expectations in his biggest fight. It's an easy fight for him, but where the fukk is he?
I think Allan will reach his potential and shock the world by catching Ward early and finishing him in round 8. I like both guys though. I'm just going with the Okie from Tulsa
Hagler cleared his entire division from top to bottom. This thread is obviously by a newer boxing fan because fighters aren't expected to move up.
They either do it for money or because they have to. Cleaning out a division has become a thing of the past and I give any fighter props for attempting to do so.
Not a newer fan. Started watching boxing with my father in the late 80s. I'm making this thread mainly because I feel my guy Roy Jones doesn't get his just due for Dominating the LightHeavyweight division after starting his career at 154lbs. Also Qawi and Hagler are about the same height and reach, but Qawi was soft looking so i can understand the argument about Hagler being too small.to be at his best at 175lbs. Hagler was great. Roy was great. I just want people to give Roy his props for doing something fighters who are ranked higher than he couldn't or wouldn't do.
i dont think there is anything wrong with campaigning in a single division your entire career, just as long as you aren't ducking the guys within it. TBH, some of the "ducking" by fighters IS when they move up in weight to avoid the dangerous opponents within their weight class.
tim bradley may be a current example.
Alexander/Khan/Maidana/Ortiz can all move their asses up to 147lbs too. The division has more name recognition and it just makes since. They all have big frames and can carry the extra 7lbs easily.
since when was ruling one division bad???since when do you HAVE to move up??
Not saying it's bad, but am I wrong for saying it should be a blemish on your legacy if you never do it?
Really so Cotto lost to Pac cuz of the weight? OK....
You guys are emotinal like women. Ready to fly off the handle at any conceived slight of Pacquiao. Read the fukking post and then respond to me ladies. *slaps all of you girls with a tampax*
alright fukk it
drop the Floyd negotiations and PAC should go after Cotto's belt
afterwards, you bitches can cry about Cotto not having it anymore and Steward fukking up his style
i like Cotto and all you fools that are asking for a rematch just want to see him hurt
You either can't read or don't read. Equally bad. I never mentioned no Pac rematch. He'll get battered again. I said the styles make the fights.
Floyd needs to go ahead and make this fight because it's an easy fight for him to be honest. The first man who beats Mayweather will posess physical gifts that he doesn't(reach, height, speed, power and fresh legs), and that's not Manny. Manny isn't getting younger himself btw. In my original post I said Manny can win if Floyd has lost a step, but after watching the Clottey fight again I would argue that Manny has lost a step too.
