Losing to a past prime 40 yr old Pac would hurt their ego

Been watching a lot of Mikey fights... he referenced having to be smart and counter and noted Morales 1 and the JMM fights... he would have to eat a lot of punches to land. As he's not elusive enough like Floyd. Interesting match up. Tactical.

I had it 7-5 GGG, but by flipping a couple close rounds, then I'd have it 7-5 for Canelo. Regardless, props to Canelo, never thought he'd have it in him to fight like that. Yea.. Canelo deserves props for sure. He really tried to do what he said he'd do. A draw wouldn't have been bad. Just unfortunate, that the scores don't agree with most.

I thought Golovkin won both fights, but such is boxing. Canelo is right though, he is an excellent fighter. But due to politics he will always get the nod in fights. Agree. Canelo has earned more respect and he showed class. Don't agree with the decision... it's just politics

Outlanded.. out jabbed him at a 2-1 clip... clearly winning the majority of the later/championship rounds... Sad result

I am a hardcore Mexican my 1 all time fighter is Jc Chavez watched 42 if his fights ggg won the fight 7-5 clearly I was going for Canelo but I’ve always said u got to beat the champ and Canelo lost 3 outa the last 4 rounds, ggg won the fight Agreed... I saw it the same way. Scored it 7-5 w/ GGG winning a majority of the later/ championship rounds. I understand Canelo had more power shots but round to round.. GGG jabs were landing clean and he mixed in power shots of his own.

It wasn't clear... I had GGG winning in a close fight but you gained some respect. Good fight Canelo

fortune has more to do with the jab. if you guys remember, fortune used to be a boxer himself and has his own gym. didnt really see donaire sr much, unless he worked with manny behind the scene but from the training videos, i only saw donaire sr once working the mitts with manny. after that, never saw him again. You are probably right. I just like the purpose he threw behind the jab. He would usually paw his jab but in this fight, he mixed it up. It disguised his power punches/combinations/uppercut.

Pac is pretty much 40 Years old in a young man's sport. In the last couple of years as a 37/38 yr old, he beat a probable hall of famer in Tim Bradley..and a consensus top 10 guy in Vargas... by most accounts, he should have won against a younger, bigger Horn in Australia. In all these fights, he scored knockdowns.. Fools... need to stop with the nonsense about PED's. He scores knockdowns against many of his opponents.. sure many flash knockdowns..but still.

Anyone notice Pac used his jab consistently?.. a lot more than usual.. was this the Buboy effect?

I noticed that. And a stiff jab at that. Yeah, could be Buboy. lol... for sure. Very effective. Could be Buboy..maybe Donaire Sr. Pac historically hasn't been strong with his jab. Nice to see. It set up his uppercuts in the fight.

I've read Pac has set a date for Dec 2nd for his next fight. Also read, team Pac reached out to Mikey's team for this fight. Mikey seems focused on Spence though. Thurman wants a tuneup... Pac isn't that.

This fight would officially mark the end of Pac's career. Keith Thurman is too young, too skilled and too dangerous of a puncher. Nah.. Keith is now run time Thurman...he hasn't knocked out or knockdowned anybody in a long time. Out of Spence, Bud, Thurman... Pac has his best chance against Keith.

So what was the outcome...im guessing higa by KO.. what round?

Higa vs the winner of Nietes/Reveco ...those guys aren't getting any younger.

A lot of guys dominated or were champions at 130/135/140 but ended up just being contenders at 147.. Broner, Danny Garcia, Tim Bradley, Marquez, Guerrero, Khan, .. It's another level up. Judging by the eye test though, Bud looks to be the real deal. I think he beats Spence and Thurman eventually

Tanaka... Has gotten knocked down down a couple of times....but def. has heart. Unproven at fly. Loses to Higa ...and a fight against Kimura would be close but Kimura seems to have momentum in his career.. lean towards Kimura. I only see these guys through replays and YouTube.. so haven't seen all that these guys can do

He's 5'7 and walks around 138lb (read in an interview a couple of years ago). He's basically around Pacquiao's size. I think Loma will go to 135.... 140 may be too much, but who knows..maybe he'd surprise if he went up there too.

............... Mayweather is by far the greatest of all time, its not even close Floyd..... lol...no..just NO....Mayweather is the most calculated manager of his own career who always favored $$$ over unnecessary risk.

I can see him go 122 lbs maybe... maybe fw if he fights for 8-10 + years. But as to who can accomplish close to what Pac has done.. Mikey, Lomachenko are the closest in terms of moving up weights.. Bud too to a lesser extent. LOL.. . Floyd and Pac both fought for over 20+ years..

I wouldn't mind seeing Arroyo vs Yafai. I think I'd prefer to see Yafai vs Chocolatito if Chocolatito is looking to get back in action. Then if Chocolatito & Estrada win they fight on SuperFly4. If Yafai wins he fights the winner of the main event on SuperFly4. Or maybe Naoya Inoue can be involved. But something with one or two fights involving Arroyo vs Yafai vs Chocolatito vs Inoue would be an ideal co-main for me. Nietes vs Higa is something I'd love to see as the opener. I agree with Chocalatito vs Yafai.. it is preferable. But not sure if it's likely.

Sor Rungvisai vs Estrada II Higa vs Arroyo Nietes vs Dalakian Seems logical and hopefully easy to put together Higa is at 112... Arroyo at 115. Dalakian and Nietes is logical ...but Higa was also at the fight last night...thats a great sign. Would love to see Higa and Kimura fight here no doubt.

Kal Yafai already turned down Superfly II. Doubt he will change his mind for Superfly III. Maybe he just didn't want to face Inoue or bad timing... if he wants to be the best then he needs to showcase his talents here.

If it's in the fall as they are suggesting, he could and should take a tune-up in Nicaragua in April or May and then try to get on the card. Probably the most money in it for Nietes if he fights Chocolatito, so I think that fight is likely. Maybe end up with Higa/Dalakian then instead It would be a tactical fight... would like to see how Gonzalez looks in his tune-up.

Daigo Higa was there sitting beside Loeffler during the Nietes fight. We prolly gonna see him against Nietes for Superfly III. Edit: It was the Viloria-Dalakian fight. Yes....i thought I heard he was gonna watch. I think I read he wants the Nietes fight. Make it happen.. And yes..i really hope Yafai steps up... As for Gonzalez-Nietes...i just prefer Nietes-Higa at the moment. Yafai vs Arroyo I think makes sense.

I was thinking about another possibility right before I went to bed last night, it doesn't technically fit in with the "Superfly" stuff since it would be at Bantam, but I doubt they really care. But I know there's been rumors of Inoue's first fight at 118 being against Jamie McDonnell in Japan, but Inoue has already fought in the US on Superfly 1 and McDonnell is with Hearn, who is now doing a bunch of work with HBO. So why couldn't Hearn, Loeffler and HBO all work together to find a way to get this fight on Superfly 3? Think it's worth looking into Inoue and McDonell I think are negotiating for May... but yeah would love to see Inoue in HBO cards for sure later this year.

For the 4th fight..(non televised).. I'd have Dalakian vs Kimura. Rungvisai vs Estrada 2 Yafai vs Arroyo Nietes vs Higa Dalakian vs Kimura Winners face off. As for Chocalitito.. I read he wants to fight in Nicaragua... so I'm not sure of his status. But he wants to face Nietes.

Possible if you gave the majority of swing rounds to Estrada. Rungvisai won more clear rounds. That's how I saw it. I personally saw 8-4 for Rungvisai but could see a draw if every swing round went to Estrada.
