Why no desperation to land a Pacquiao fight for those 130-147? I don't get it. Too have Floyd or Manny on your resume is like having Ali or Duran on it. From the perspective of being a professional boxer, how could you not want to have that fight enshrined in your legacy? Sure we can talk about promoters and such "getting in the way" but the truth of the matter, these are grown men who can will a Pac fight into reality if they truly vied for it publicly and privately. Beyond that you have all these "free agents" under Haymons advisement who, from what were supposed to believe, can do whatever they want. Putting Khan aside, considering he's already made his bones fighting big names throughout the Pac era, I'm referring to Danny Garcia, Mikey Garcia, Ryan Garcia, Loma, Spence, Crawford, Thurman, (I guess Broner's ship has sailed), and other top level guys I'm probably leaving out. Sure I'll concede the notion that perhaps Pacs camp don't want to face Crawford but where is the passion and hunger from the others?
Perhaps this is a retorical question I'm asking because imo they think they will get Vargas'd or Mathysse'd. That is beside the point though. A loss against Pacquiao doesn't make or break any of these guys career. Was Iran's career in the *****ter after Duran? Was Malignaggi's after Hatton? And how about Pacquiao's after Morales I? No, no and no.
These guys trying to be the next best thing around 140 are kidding themselves if they think fighting Manny Pacquiao wouldn't progress their career. Well maybe it wouldn't if they got blown out which maybe might be the thinking behind pretending he's irrelevant.
OP doesn't get it, Packy has been carefully selecting who he fights ever since the Horn wake up call. He is a smart boy, milking every US dolla that his reputation allows, maximumising profits and minimumising risk. And he will go on until he knows that it's time to quit.
Of course Horn will fight him any time but that's not going to happen simply because the risk outweighs the return. Same with Spence and Crawford.
Well he just fought Keith Thurman, Adrien Broner and Lucas Mathysse..
Let's say you are right..
isn't uhh..
I mean heh heh heh..
isn't that because The 8 division world champion and Fighter of the Decade is walking on egg shells to fight Floyd Mayweather Jr?
It's a sad day when the "cash cow" and face of boxing is chasing UFC fighters and adolescent featherweight kickboxers.

Looks like I was ahead of the curve with this thread. I still contest the notion Thurman ***** the bed for FoxPBC, losing everything. Thurman put on a great performance against a game, hall of famer, all time great and you know what.. he fought his (Pacs) fight. Toe to toe. He came up short but believe you me, this loss will greatly raise his profile and tenacity as a professional. There is a lot to take away from the gritty fight on Saturday and it's that Thurman can use what he learned with Pacs style; apply it to future fights with becoming much more blood thirsty and dangerous. What Pac has showed against Vargas, Broner and Thurman is to beat someone like himself, you have to be a killer. A lot of the PBC fighters and even Canelo have steadily regressed their career into being a less is more, take it nice and easy performers. You're selling yourself short if you don't let loose the most debilitating offensive output possible. I think Canelo learned this and adapted to this strategy in his rematch with GGG
daze is just a punk ass sucka who only speaks when it fits his agenda.
even after getting what he wanted he still doesn't go back and answer the original topic. dude's so quick to respond when he wants but when he doesn't, he ducks like a little fa**ot, as you can clearly see in here. I mean look at how many times he's ducked the initial question already, nothing but deflections, and when the deflections ended, so does he
yes, and that kind off take the fun away....running is only good for track and field and getting away from the bill collector (joke), but not in boxing and/or boxing debate/discussions
Thats just the guaranteed purse. That doesnt include sponsorship, TV rights in his country or other countries as well and any other side hustle like PPV revenue and whatnot.
Malaysia tv rights? Malaysia ppvs?
yea ok bro

Truth is the entire angle used to hype Manny was He was going to beat Mayweather, after that fight the interest is gone..sponsors left, fans left and all those ppv sales left...sorry but it is the brutal truth!!

daze simply won't SAY he didn't like it, he wants someone else to SAY he didn't for him. ok daze you "didn't like" salsa.
now that that's out of the way, answer these:

Low pay to fight him in some obscure country. When that changes, they’ll line up.
"low pay", Lucas got a nice penny if you ask me. Who else could Lucas have fought for that much?
and what makes an "obscure country". What's so "obscure". Pretty ignorant thing to say wouldn't you think.
lmao this sucka stay duckin
piece of shi* goin to make a comment then run when asked about it
I think for most of the division the risk outweigh the rewards. Then for the ones likely to beat him Oac won’t want to take those fights and get KTFO into retirement
