Why does everybody think Crawford is going to dominate 147 like he did 140

crawford overrated as fck if we're being honest. overrated doesnt mean you suck doe. it just means he gets way too much credit. he cleaned out 140 and its a big deal but ggg dominating 160 was never respected because the division was "weak".. who are the champs at 140 now? exactly. 140 compared to 160 is weaker than baby legs. postol, diaz, molina and indongo are not much better than murray, stevens, monroe, jacobs and lemule. danny garcia's run at 140 was way more impressive than crawford's if we being real and he was never even considered on a P4P list. thats what i mean by bud being overrated. and 135 was even weaker than 140 so no need to brag there. and if crawford beats horn watch his fanboys elevate him to the top of 147. but i thought horn was a bum schoolteacher. smh. truth is bud is now in the division where he will be really tested. we will know how good he is at 147.

Weight and Strength won't beat Crawford, it will have to be skills, because Crawford is walking around at 177, pounds. Crawford passes the eye test and he has the size for Welterweight. Pac did it. Floyd did it. Why can't Crawford? He is the most technically gifted fighter in the sport. Yes more so than Loma to me. He is quicker than everyone there too. He beats everyone. Pac and Floyd never fought a natural welter. That is a fact. And he is not quicker than guys like Thurman and Spence and we do not know if his power will go up.

Crawford isnt going to dominate 147. He had the easiest rode to the top at 140. I cant remember the last fighter to have it easy as he did for all the marbles.

Because he's very, very good and he has the frame to move up in weight comfortably. It will be an exceptional fighter that beats him at 147.

Crawford has shown that he is at another level. I say we will see the best of Crawford at 147 because he is going to get pushed to the limit. Better punch resistant naturally bigger skilled fighters are going to make him earn his victory.

It is not a guarantee. Although I believe he is the most talented 147lb'er right now based on skill set alone, we do not know how durable he is at the weight and he does get hit cleanly at times. He might get his clock cleaned. His punching power and ability to control range may also be less effective. Time will tell. Same with Lomachenko. Moving up brings many questions. Some guys do it easier than others.

Spence is the man to go to at welter now. Maybe in 2020 Spence Crawford would be competitive. By then, Spence would be fighting at 160.

He wont' OP is spot on. If yu made a list of the guys crawford has beat that ar "big wins", then you compare that list to the top guys at 147 it's extremely polorized. Thurman would probably kill gamboa, for example

One thing about Crawford is he doesn't like being walked down. Nor does he like doing the same thing in the opposite direction. He wants it in the middle of the ring. Diaz was almost helpless on the ropes, yet TC remained cautious. Which is why Spence's size and style would be a nightmare for him.

I'm a huge Crawford fan and want him to take over at 147, but I totally agree that the welters are overall a much better crop than what Crawford had at 140 and he's going to be up against it if the fights can be made. I think Thurman is way underrated too, as far as his skills.

If you look at the top guys at 147 and compare them to the guys Crawford had fought, you will see that there is a huge disparity in skill between guys like Spence, Porter, Danny, and Thurman compared to Diaz, Indongo, and Postol. A lot of guys dominated or were champions at 130/135/140 but ended up just being contenders at 147.. Broner, Danny Garcia, Tim Bradley, Marquez, Guerrero, Khan, .. It's another level up. Judging by the eye test though, Bud looks to be the real deal. I think Spence is only guy at 47. That will be 50/50. Everyone else I believe he beats. Not sure he beats them up. But I think he has enough skill to outclass the rest
