Theodore Samuel "Ted" Williams (August 30, 1918–July 5, 2002) also nicknamed The Kid, the Splendid Splinter, Teddy Ballgame and The Thumper, was a left fielder in Major League Baseball. He played 21 seasons, twice interrupted by military service as a Marine Corps pilot, with the Boston Red Sox. He is widely considered to be one of the greatest hitters in the history of baseball.
Williams was a two-time American League Most Valuable Player (MVP) winner, led the league in batting six times, and won the Triple Crown twice. He had a career batting average of .344, with 521 home runs, and was inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1966. He is the last player in Major League Baseball to bat over .400 in a single season (.406 in 1941). Williams holds the highest career batting average of anyone with 500 or more home runs. His career year was 1941, when he hit .406 with 37 HR, 120 RBI, and 135 runs scored. His .551 on base percentage set a record that stood for 61 years. An avid sport fisherman, he hosted a television show about fishing and was inducted into the IGFA Fishing Hall of Fame.

Ahh, good ole Teddy Ballgame....the poor, racist bastards severed head is floating in cryogenic goo as we speak...
As for Moorer, I am a bit surprised and am curious now who Roach will "pass his legacy" onto
the creator of the game posted on a forum and claimed that the demo that is out now was representation of the game in early april and that they have tweaked alot of the game already and footwork was specifically mentioned.
It is good but takes getting used to. The new total punch control is not as good as the old one in terms of quick response. I find myself struggling to throw upper cuts and quick combos. The inside fighting is really good but I find it difficult to jump in close and then back out quickly without taking massive shots to the head because my gloves drop when I try to back out and the fighter just stands still in the center of the ring.
I've met Mike Tyson, Evander Holyfield, Muhammad Ali, Pacquaio, Micky Ward, and Don King. I have them all sign a glove. I met them through a friends dad who deals in sporting equipment.
the whole thing seemed staged for 24/7 with mayweather and others obviously acting out their support for something hatton was doing during a lackluster and half paced sparring session.
wtf..... The theater showing the fight is a theater way the **** outside houston. Its like a 40 minute drive from Downtown. And that theater is in an all white neighborhood.
you've never been to deerbrook 24 in humble then. i was there earlier today in a movie and was the only white guy in the house...
I have shelled out alot of money over the years on PPV fights. I never felt like I wasted my money on the Pac/Hatton fight like I have others. I would rather watch what happened on Sat than wasting my money on a fight like Mayweather/Gotti...
Good to see Juan! I was at his fight with Marquez and I hope the future holds bigger things for Diaz. He is a great asset to the city of Houston and to boxing.
sadly, I think this fight is a ppv. Pavlik seems swamped in the fall out of his own hype and taking fights like this does not help. He needs a new trainer and a fight against the likes of Abraham to restore his name.
Diaz claimed on Houston radio that HBO basically told him to fight who they wanted or he would not be on TV...
Anyway, I already have my ring side ticket for the 22nd secured and can't wait for fight night.
