Porter isn't as good as his last two fights made him appear. He had the right opponent at the right time and is being overrated now. Brook wins an upset decision.
I like Herrera and wish him well. But a Pacquiao fight would be a PPV dud. And if you compare it to Algieri, all you have done is list two fights that will be PPV flops. Plenty of good fights (Broner, Matthysse, Garcia II, etc.) for Herrera at 140 that don't even involve the "cold war".
Haymon isn't putting his guys in to get embarrassed by Herrera again. In fact, he's not putting his fighters in with anyone remotely decent right now.
There's something going on behind the scenes, Floyd aside all we're seeing is mismatches lined up for Al Haymon fighters on GBP cards.
I wish that weren't true, but it does kinda look that way.
I almost cannot believe how dumb that post was. Foreman more "versatile" than Ali ahahaha...
Yeah wing left, wing right, hope it hits somewhere on the body.
That Foreman was a REAL boxing genius by the sounds of it LOL.
Foreman was push and arm puncher anyway, he did not have the concussive type of power that WK does, and Foreman only weighed 218lbs, 20lbs lighter than WK's "average" opponent.
And Ali, never tasted ANY flush Foreman shots to the head, he absorbed body shots only. For which he enjoyed a lengthy hospital stay.
Hard to believe that anyone is really this stupid. :pat:
Whenever maidana has stepped up to the plate he has lost. He is only good against D level fighters such as victor ortiz and Adrian Broner but he gets a lot of credit because those fighters have big names. When he stepped up to the plate and fought guys with good amature backgrounds such as Amir khan, devon alexander and Floyd Mayweather he got beat. People need to go and watch the floyd fight again and see how many punches he actually landed. This next fight is going to be a one sided fight and the only fighter that deserves a fight vs floyd in September is Shawn Porter.
Ortiz and Broner are "D level fighters"? What does that make all the opponents they have beaten? Your perspective is badly warped.
Making weight?:haha::haha: dude's 30 pounds heavier than his opponents every time he fights....
Which means he had to completely dehydrate himself going through the torture of making weight. One day he'll show up for a fight with slow reflexes and get battered, I'm for same day weigh ins, but it's not like JCC Jr. is cheating.
Updated list as of 10/5/14
Roy Jones - tentative (PED allegation)
Bernard Hopkins
James Toney - tentative (PED allegation)
Vlad Klitchko
Floyd Mayweather
Manny Pacquaio
Robert Guerrero
Miguel Cotto
Juan Manuel Marquez
Shane Mosley - tentative (PED allegation)
Carl Froch
Timothy Bradley - tentative (needs a little more to his resume)
Erik Morales
Pongsaklek Wonjongkam
Sergio Martinez (may get in but not on the first ballot)
Nonito Donaire (may get in but not on the first ballot)
Chad Dawson (Excellent resume)
The reason why I've added Dawson is because of his resume plus he was the last person to beat Bernard Hopkins.
Still no explanation for Robert Guerrero?
I win. Thanks for stopping by. Feels good winning these debates.
Are you about 14 years old? It would be pretty pathetic if you're an adult.
No time to waste on pathological liars who make up sh*t. See ya later Fanboy
There is no other way you can frame that molly whooping we saw last night other than Rios came in under prepared, fat and bloated, Tim did was he does, with a focus on the soft belly of Rios, and Brandon was forced to the matt twice from body shots then quit.
A totally disgraceful performance by Rios, lets be honest.
That's the bottom line. Rios was absolutely not in anything resembling fighting shape.
I'd say about 500-550K. Broner will do a better job than Berto of building up the fight. The problem is marketing it as competitive after the inevitable comparisons to Maidana.
You look at GGG's championship run compared to the championship run of the undisputed man in WWE Seth Rollins and its obvious GGG is a complete coward and duck. Avoided every legitimate threat around him and fought nothing but cans. Instead of looking up to a man like Seth Rollins GG went and suckled at Rhonda Rousey's tits like a little fan girl.
You're obviously someone who can't be taken seriously. I'm done with this troll thread.
History has shown us that when a real fighter calls GGG's bluff, he folds. First he would take on everyone from 154 to 168. Clearly he didn't mean Canelo or Ward. It then turned to lets meet halfway in the case of Ward, taking 165-168 off the table. Then again his skirt was pulled up as Canelo was willing to give him a shot at 155. GGG again moved the goalposts. No more 154-159. So basically the guy who stated he will fight everyone from 154 to 168 really meant. I'll fight everyone only at 160-164 (unless a threat comes along at 161-164).
GGG is a mandatory contender. He doesn't have to fight at a chickenspit catchweight. If Canelo is able to negotiate that, good for him. But GGG doesn't have to do that to take the WBC title from one of these entitled prima donnas.
Lennox Lewis
Guillermo Jones
Winky Wright
According to boxrec, Guillermo Jones has a fight in Panama later this week. So congratulations on being the first in this thread to actually get what they want.
he will never fight canelo. we already saw what canelo does to limited punchers. he doesn't wanna end up like kirkland
Of course he'll fight Canelo, assuming he even beats Cotto. Quit talking foolishly. Comparing GGG with Kirkland is very ignorant. But good luck with your ridiculous agenda.
Ward is arrogant? The guy is very nice, humble, religious, and well spoken. Arrogance is the guy you root for saying he can beat everybody from 154-168.
Ward is smug and phony. Really bad at calling fights on HBO too.
i think he can get a pac fight.
if he really is no longer with haymon, arum would do it.
If Arum is the lead promoter, I don't think he cares very much if Haymon is Khan's "advisor".
