They won't remember senseless words but they will remember him saying.. "I will fight the winner of Haye vs Chisora." That's something you can't just forget about if you're the heavyweight champion, and the most respected heavyweight since Lennox Lewis.
Come on, Vitali in my opinion is one of the ATG heavyweights, how can he not stick to his word? You think people aren't going to remember???
This is Vitali Klitschko, of course people are going to remember. Have some respect for the true champ. Vitali isn't some ordinary boxer, he's probably in the top 30 heavyweights of all time and people will study him in great depth and detail in the future. That includes the beginning, the middle and the last part of his career. At the moment, the last part of his career involves him promising Haye a fight and then not going through with it. Think about how future generations will remember him for doing that.
Yes that is correct, but at the same time, the man is a politician now. Would we really want to see a fight where a fighter can never focus on his opponent? Point is that Vitali is also getting up in age. Floyd said that he was going to fight in Feb of last year, and this year as well. Of course he didnt, but no one will hold that against him either due to what he has accomplished. Haye had his chance to prove hes not just talk, and got smacked around, then blaming his toe. Vitali loses nothing from this at the end of the day.
Both unproven to an extent, but Canelo has a few bigger names on his resume. Only mention that due to the fact that hes been in the spotlight. Not saying he wins, but GGG hasnt exactly been dominating the boxing world either. Canelo i think still has one of the hardest thuds when he hits the body, GGG would likely move around via Sergio vs Jr. Either way....i'd pay to see this fight, and it would be sort of an eliminator. Winner moves on to bigger and better things, while the loser goes into Amir Khan limbo.
Could or would are two different things, so ill break them into two sections and why
Could: Manny Pacquiao (activity, and Floyd is NOT JMM where he takes risks and willing to trade)
Adrien Broner (Younger, fresher, faster)
Ghost (can make it an ugly dogfight, making Floyd uncomfortable)
Would: Sergio Martinez (size, speed, power, short crisp punching power)
Canelo (Again, size, and body shots would do more damage than think)
I swear...so many of yall trying to make this a complicated matter when it is not. Difference is that Lennox got KTFO with ONE LUCKY punch by Rahman where Vitali was doing serious work througout. Rahmans future proved that he was just destined for 15 minutes of fame. End of story.
this is really a 50/50 fight. I've said before and ill say it again....Floyd has looked slow, planted, and sluggish in his last 2 fights. you will continue to see him slow down even more so. will he lose....I woukdnt bet on it, but it would shock me either at this point in his career.

Law legal and street legal are two different things.. If you say you'll do something, and everyone knows about it, you're expected to do it. Otherwise you sacrifice your credibility and honor. Vitali needs to live up to his word and stop messing around in my opinion. There's not too much time left to be playing these sort of games.
Right because 20 years from now, the world will remember senseless words.
Both of them are on roids. Marquez beats them both without roids.

Its really sad and pathetic that so many use the "its not Pac its his fans" excuse for their own immaturity. What they are really saying and meaning that they just want a pathetic sense of fulfillment that they feel they can only get when "THEIR" fighter beats the other guys fighter. Just nothing more than an "I told you so". Bunch of children.
I said that Manny would lose, via 7th rd ko when i saw Romney with him. I was reassured when i saw his trunks, which closely resembled the ones that Roy Jones wore when Tarver laid his butt out. :)
He doesnt have haters I would say from the mass public standpoint, hes actually loved, but in boxing circles, hes hated by the Mayweather extremist. That is a small ratio compared to the masses so it is irrelevant.
Much better than i expected. I was guessing around 7-800k buys due to the fact that a lot of people were going to be like "AGAIN!!!!!!". What the 4th fight did do is setup a HUGE story now for a 5th. It will probably be sold as if it is 2-2, and 5th will decide it. I think the 5th would do around 1.3-1.5, as now many people want to see how Manny responds, and if he can recover. Either way, i'm totally down for a 5th. Cant ask for better action intense series with 2 top tier fighters.
12 round beating by far. Its one thing to lose on a single punch that can happen ko you, as it can happen to anyone at any given time, but consistent punishment really questions ones true ability. If Oscar had been dominating Manny, and Manny landed one shot to end it, I'll bet the farm that he wouldnt have retired. Its those sustained beatings that more times than not, show if if fighter belongs in the same class as his opponent, or even worse....make one finally realize that their time has come and gone, and the end is near.
Canelo TKO
bet your house on it
Agreed. Never gone against Floyd until i saw him, and how slow his torso was moving against Ortiz, and said Cotto to win, or give him hell. Canelo will be relentless in attacking the body with thunderous thuds, and I see Canelo knocking Floyd down early, then stopping him around the 7-9th. I love Floyd, but he has been slowing down, and it has showed if many of you take the goggles off, and look.
I think Floyd has 3 fights left. I still say Canelo will eventually land Mayweather, probably in May 2014.
Garcia will probably fight 3-4 times this year. February against Judah, and than possibly in the summer against Maidana. He'd be in line for a Fall 2013 Floyd fight by then probably.
I really dont know what Floyd will do next, but i think that Ghost is a hail mary pass, and Canelo i see taking on Cotto even if Cotto loses. As for Danny....Maidana is great from a matchup standpoint, but i think Danny is still in that phase where he can lose it all with a loss to Maidana. Very dangerous i think.
I doubt Golden Boy will risk two possible Mayweather opponents against each other.
Say Danny Garcia beats Judah, and than maybe he fights Peterson at 140, than heads to 147. He could be in line for Floyd.
I think Guerrero will fight Bradley or Maidana next. If Guerrero-Braldey were to somehow get made, I'd love to see Floyd fight the winner of that fight.
The problem is that there just isnt that kind of time. Floyd has 2 fights left i think...TOPS, and i dont care what he says about wanting to fight 5 more times. Plus, Floyd has looked far from his younger years, and very vulnerable, and why i predicted Cotto to beat him after how awful he looked vs Ortiz.
Well we all want Mayweather-Pacquiao still, hopefully Roger's words about Floyd talking to Arum were real and hopefully that can finally get done April/May 2013. I won't hold my breath though, obviously.
I'll put it to you like this.......
If Guerrero gets a win over Bradley, Alexander, Matthysse next, I say let him fight Floyd. He'll without a doubt be the best WW after Floyd and Manny, and will have earned it no doubt about it.
If Canelo gets a win over Cotto (IF Cotto beats Trout), I say let him fight Floyd. He will have earned it by beating Cotto. But in the event that Cotto loses to Trout, if Canelo were to get a couple wins over Angulo, Kirkland, Lara/Vanes, Molina, than let him fight Floyd.
If Garcia beats Judah, than proceeds to get a win or two against guys like Guerrero, Maidana, Matthysse, Peterson, Alexander, than I say let him fight Floyd.
Those are the scenarios where I'd like to see them fight Floyd.
Agree with all of this...just the time frame for which i think can stop lots of this from happening.
Marquez has been in trouble before, Pacquiao didn't seem to realize that's when he is most dangerous.
Look at Marquez circle on to the ropes. He knew how Manny would respond, he knew what he was going to use when he did.
Fortunate is a cop-out. The smarter fighter won.
AGREED 100%!!!!!! Juan is like a cornered fox when it looks like the end....the problem is that a cornered fox is even more dangerous than a jackal.
I dont think it was a lucky punch. It was proven that Juan worked on that shot in camp. Now the reality is that all fighters look at tape, and have a plan, but once the bells sounds, more times than not its easiser said than done. I'm sure that Marquez plan wasnt to get busted up, get knocked down, lose control of the fihgt, then land "The Shot". Reality in this case is that, how Manny got hit, Marquez had to ultimately guess when he chose to lunge in when Manny uses that stutter step. So, a lucky punch...NO, absolutely NOT...good assumption/guess by Juan.....YES
Ya just the worse lose of his career and lost every round.Believe me Mayweather could have stopped him if he wanted too.
Riiiiiiiiiiiight. Floyd was being a nice guy. LMAO!!!!!! :stupid:
