To be fair. Keith Kizer is an absolute dip**** and asks every question like this, even if it doesn't make sense.
I don't know about that but in this instance it makes 100% sense . When his first test for elevated testosterone came back positive , why didn't he remember that he had previously taken pellets for such a "condition" and told VADA instead of "remembering" all of a sudden after his seond failure .
Now all of a sudden we hear he had told VADA about the pellets from the beginning? Yeah right
"If you had low testosterone, a doctor would give it to you, but if you found out in April that you tested positive for it, wouldn't it jog your memory? "

on Peterson taking testosterone pellets

Lamont probably knew he was going to get caught and hoped his Doctor's note would save him
The sad thing is , some people are buying it and thinking this is a huge misunderstanding . He fails a test for testosterone and can't remember that he had an invasive procedure to put pellets in his body ? Then he says he told VADA about it from the beginning ( they deny this )and now he says he didn't feel the need to tell anyone because it was a private procedure ? People who buy this **** are either:
A) Huge Lamont Fans
B) Huge Khan haters
C) Retarded beyond belief
When i saw the doctors note I thought it implicated Lamont further . The doctor laid it on reaaly thick at how much of a deficiency Peterson had . You'd think Peterson would have some follow up treatments for such a disorder instead of a one time thing just coincidentally before the biggest fight of his life . Yeah right.
I went to a few forums and read about what guys who had this procedure had to say. They were very sore in the butt or hips after doing this.
It is NOT something that slips your mind.
But now Team Pete seems to have made a Romneyesque shift away from "we forgot" to "it was a private medical condition. We didn't feel we had to disclose".
So sheisty. Liars.
Haha . Bravo man . I see a few people trying to give Lamont the benefit of the doubt but you're going above and beyond to expose his contradictions.
The standard excuse as expected

Letter says Peterson told this to tester VADA, a point that appears to be in dispute. "It may have been an approved exemption," letter says.
At what point did he tell the tester? I thought his team said he didn't remember what he took until the second positive test
Peterson is talking bull and also what would VADA gain from lying in this instance?
I felt bad for Lamont watching that but the bottom line is that he had banned substances in his body and should rightfully be stripped of his titles and win over Khan.
As for wether or not he purposely took the pellets , you just have to look at Lamont and his teams suspect behaviour around the issue IMO . Non disclosure , conflicting statements with VADA etc.
Barry Hunter said in that interview " Excuse us for being ignorant" . Sorry Barry , it doesn't work like that in a professional sport.
He didn't test positive for their first fight, so why should the titles be handed back to Kahn without fighting for them.
The testing procedure was not adequate to catch this type of drug use for the first fight because the Washington commission does not use carbon isotope testing like VADA . It is a fact , confirmed by Team Peterson , that he had the testosterone pellets in his system for the fight , which is banned so he should be stripped and the fight ruled a NC.

I gotta say the more I hear Lamonts side the more I feel he did not intend to cheat and was badly misguided.
What you feel is very different to what proof is on the table . So far all Lamont has given you to believe him is that he is perceived to be a nice guy , is almost crying and his trainer has said they were ignorant on the issue . In reality , that amounts to jack squat as everything else is against him .
Its called damage control
True . Peterson might not even be crying because he thinks he's innocent.
Its not difficult to summon up tears for sympathy when your career , reputation and future paydays look like they are going down the gutter .
Good decision, another fighter who use steroids to enhance his chances in the ring..
Sadly it took three pages and a bunch of replies saying this guy should be in the hall of fame before this point was made
Good luck to Shane with his post boxing career . He was a quality fighter and gave a lot of entertainment but his deliberate drug use should keep him well out of the HOF.
I wonder if any of the staunch Floyd supporters that disagree with me about Shane would feel that Pac should still be in the HOF were he ever to be found juicing.
The call for the Kessler fight is hilarious. Everyone agrees Kessler is on the downside and all but shot, but hey lets get Froch a win. It is so typical and hilarious. Why not a Dirrell?
Great idea! Instead of putting on another fight guaraunteed to be a war lets put Froch up against one of the most boring , spoiling fighters of the modern age :hail:
It wouldnt happen even without the HBO/Showtime stuff. GBP wants both guys along with Canelo to carry the company. They arent going to let them take eachother out when there are plenty of other guys they can fight
There's that too . Just putting the info out there before the inevitable "ducking" accusations start flying.
Wouldn't both contracts be void at this stage since the fights have been cancelled?
Nope. I don't know about Vic but Khan signed a four fight deal with HBO after the McCloskey fight and even if his cancelled fight with Peterson counted towards that contract he'd still owe them one fight
Damn I wish Lucas Mattysse was fighting because this dude is coming to LAY DOWN, I don't even expect him to TRY and beat Morales
i would've thought that too but looks like the kid is coming to win
I'm seeing a lot of threads from Floyd fans claiming to be "disgusted" by what they perceive as being a mismatch between Pacquiao and Clottey. Obviously, these fans just want the best match ups possible for the sport of boxing. But, just out curiosity, where was the backlash from the Floyd fans for Marquez/Mayweather, which obviously, was an incredible mismatch?
because they're biased floyd fans?
