Lamont Peterson needed the testosterone because he had a "substantial testosterone insuffiency," his attorney tells Nevada commission.
The Nevada Commission and GBP can go on with this fight but we all know this whole thing is a lie and PEDerson(I'll keep the trend going) is a damn fraud.
The standard excuse as expected
At what point did he tell the tester? I thought his team said he didn't remember what he took until the second positive test
Peterson is talking bull and also what would VADA gain from lying in this instance?
Exposure.
Victor Conte's image is clearing up as we speak. Everybody will know VADA and will connect this incident to every conversation and article regarding testing procedures in sports henceforth. If he has a doctor's note, then it's more than likely bullsh*t, but still he has the note...for all we know mosley, ortiz and/or mayweather pulled the same sh*t with USADA, the f*ck is USADA gonna say, 'f*ck ur doctor's note?' No. VADA isn't jeopardizing a PPV event, it's just an HBO fight...a big enough fight however to gain some good exposure. But again, I'm only answering your question, I'm not saying that's the way it went down. Maybe he really did just f*ck up and is only trying to salvage the situation as best he can at this point. :boxing:
I believe it does..... Athletes in all contact sports are suffering from the testosterone deficiency, not just LAmont.
If the medical records, and paper work back up what has been said, and proves to be right, then I think people have no reason to not back Lamont Peterson.
Regardless, Lamont will wear the "Cheater" label like a scarlett letter.
But Lamont is the one that had to "self medicate" for it? GTFOH He clearly didn't see a doctor as they wouldn't have over medicated the patient surely. (I'm half expecting some dodgy back street doctor near retirement to come out after a pay-off saying it was all his fault)
Done some research and I think it's safe we can rule out the most common reason for lower testosterone in men: Age.
So lets look at some of the other causes.
Trauma – A direct physical injury to the testes. Has Paterson only got one ball?
Castration – Surgical removal of the testes. Maybe he doesn't have any?
Radiation treatment or chemotherapy - No cancer we are aware of or maybe he's just not disclosed that yet.
HIV/AIDS – Viruses or other infectious agents. Again he's maybe forgot about some autoimmune deficiency he has. Easily done I guess.
So that pretty much leaves a couple of options:
Genetically-Based Conditions or Medications. We could rule out the genetic ones with a few tests (which I'm sure won't be needed) which leads you to the absolutely most probable cause of his low levels....
Medications – Certain drugs used to treat medical conditions that affect the brain(e.g., opiate pain medications such as morphine) and hormones (e.g., cortisone-like medications such as prednisone, and anabolic steroids) may inhibit LH and FSH secretion by the pituitary, and in turn, testosterone production by the testes.
I understand the above list is not entirely inclusive of all causes but if you look at other factors, particularly behaviour that insinuates guilt, you an only draw one conclusion unless you are entirely naive.
Here was the medical source used for the info if you want to check it out. Interesting read if your into Biology!

Its funny to me that after the crusade on drugs, people would actually take his side on when he actually fails a test, for steroids nonetheless.
And people still give him the benefit of the doubt when you attempts to use the oldest excuse in the book
i dont at all believe in the idea that a professional boxer can have any sort of "testosterone deficiency"
that's a line in the sand as far as i am concerned. your testosterone is what it is.
that's my stance on the ethics of the situation. there's a much longer conversation that can be had on it, but i cant be getting into that this morning.
now, that being said, what i believe is ethical means absolutely nothing. if peterson was indeed given a pass to take testosterone by a medical authority and it's in congruence with the regulations of the commission then he's done nothing wrong according to the rules
juicing is juicing in my eyes, but he's technically not breaking any rules
still waiting for things to come to the surface and the real story and the consequences to come out.
it certainly appears though that peterson is taking steroids, "legal" or otherwise.
Here's the thing. What is specified as "low testosterone levels"? Normal males levels are from like 250-1000. So if he has 270, does he have low testosterone?
Another thing is the wording the of the statement released, that he had "substantial testosterone insufficiency". What does that mean exactly? I cant quite figure out what is meant by insufficiency. That they werent sufficient enough to beat Khan?
In the end, he never disclosed that he was juicing until after getting caught. Im sorry but you dont simply "forget" about taking steroids
Everything since the first fight has been dodgy about Lemonts camp this is the icing on the cake. They knew he never had a chance against Khan so they roided up, simple as. It's hard to believe people like Lemont exist inthe sport, but sadly it is reality and there will always be idiots who try their luck.

that's why you defend yourself
punches take something out of you
you want to try and take drugs to put it back in? what ever happened to getting out of the way?
does that make any sense?
i am really out of it on this one. makes zero sense to me. juicing is juicing. it's an unfair advantage.
lamont had many times the level of testosterone that's deemed "natural"
how is that fair?
If anyone hasn't watched this documentary already, you SHOULD!
It's fair to say the human race is generally suffering with lower test compared to years gone by, due to diet and other consumable products (creams etc)

This sort of stuff has fascinated me for years. I don't profess to know much about the subject and no doubts there are some people that are clued up all about hormones, but its a very important factor in what makes us all different. Just look at how many blokes have ***** tits. In the UK it's shocking, so many guys have them. If any of you guys have young sons, take the time to watch the documentary and make sure you help them stay away from heading towards the direction the modern man is going - metrosexual, with more estrogen then testosterone

You're a sheep bro, Seriously :lol1:
Go back to calling radio stations and acting like a moron
Cheaters never win and winners never cheat.
I will not be sold on that lame excuse. Lamont cheated, period. His brother cheated when he repeatedly hit Bam Bam Rios on the cup. He did it so many times that he got DQ'd. He told the guys in the fighter meeting that he isn't above resorting to dirty tactics if he's in trouble during a fight. These guys come from the mean ass streets where people cut corners and do underhanded things to advance. I understand the mentality but in the world of boxing, it is UNACCEPTABLE!!! Lamont should be ashamed of himself. I saw the piece that CNN did on him where he was telling the kids who were having it rough, to keep hope alive and never give up on your dreams. Some example he's setting right now.
I'm someone who supported Peterson and I think he's a good dude but I will not stand behind him or make excuses for him the way the *******s make excuses for someone who wouldn't even partiipate in a program like this. I say that if more fighters participated, we'd see a lot more fighters getting exposed for the dirty cheats that they are. Amir Khan was on the cheater radar but he's not the one who is under the microscope. I say that a fighter who has an Olympic pedigree such as Amir Khan, Yuri Gamboa, and G. Rigo are highly unlikely to use PEDs. Obviously they had what it took to make it to the Olympics and win medals. We all know that Olympic testing is the most stringent.
So this proves his innocence?

I posted this yesterday, and people sh*t all over it. This is something that is common with ALL contact sports, and not just boxing....
Watch again, and listen to the lead in sentence before going into the segment.
So this proves his innocence?
Terrell,
Let me please explain how this works. Please bear with me.
Your body makes natural testosteron, and the pharmaceutical stuff is synthetic testosterone. They are very similar, but different.
Your body has a "sensor" (endocrine system) that monitors the levels in your body. If you take a boatload of synthetic testosterone, your body will say "Whoa! Overload" and shut down the production of natural testosterone.
So, they measure the ratios of Testosterone to Epitestosterone as a doping metric.
Guys really mess up their systems by taking the steroids/hgh/testosterone shots, and many have to then take FEMALE hormones that cause your body to say "what the fk! Turn on testosterone faucet!".
The whole game is tricking your body to produce as much testosterone as possible.
This is correct. I have low testosterone level. The doctor prescribed HCG shots because testosterone will affect my sperm count.
Just look at photos of Peterson before the Khan fight, he is always in great shape, low fat and good amounts of muscle on his body. You don't look like that with Low Test. So either he doesn't have low test or he has been using for some time. Also with low test you suffer fatigue, serious fatigue so an 8-12 week camp would be almost impossible and even if you did it you would have crappy body composition and be soft and not shredded.
Something here stinks. In fact, if we are honest, drug testing in boxing stinks and needs a major overhaul. Nevada know what they are doing letting people have synthetic test under the guise of "low test" - it helps create confident athletic looking gladiators, the exact thing they promote and make money from.
