Which means it will probably not happen
Lol. You know, i think this applies to every division except 168. In this division, the best fighters are always looking to challenge themselves and make the best available fights. This is the best division in boxing as far as making the fights that should be made. Even though Bootay was exposed, i respect him more as a 30-1 fighter than an undefeated fighter because he took on the 2nd best in the division in his hometown.
Froch vs Kessler makes too much sense right now. Froch even said he wants no part of Ward again.
Both Froch and Kessler are coming off highlight reel kos, had a close fight in their previous meeting and the fight would generate a lot of money if held in Nottingham. It has to happen next. Its the most logical choice for both of them
it would have to be kessler as froch is not on wards level.
I agree with you, but Froch won't so Ward it will be IMHO. Froch has never ducked anybody and won't start now. It's a much bigger money fight, and I can't see a bigger one for Ward, either.
I think the rematch clause in the contract will be enforced.
So next for Froch is a rematch with Bute.
It's either enforced or Bute retires. I rather suspect he wishes it wasn't there now.. the result will be much the same.
Great idea! Instead of putting on another fight guaraunteed to be a war lets put Froch up against one of the most boring , spoiling fighters of the modern age :hail:
Exactly. With the right opponent, Froch means war and the promoters know it. Dirrell would have us - and them - reaching for the caffeine pills to stay awake.
Ward, and I think he'd look better this time. If the Froch that showed up tonight were to fight Ward, I'd expect another huge upset.
thats just laughable! froch has nightmares about ward!

Brilliantly put :hail:
The call for the Kessler fight is hilarious. Everyone agrees Kessler is on the downside and all but shot, but hey lets get Froch a win. It is so typical and hilarious. Why not a Dirrell?

After that destruction, I think a Kessler rematch makes sense...with both guys coming off carreer extending wins.
Kelly Pavlik, Jermaine Taylor are both resurging (in theory) I think Froch matches up well with both guys who have solid name recognition.
If he beats a couple of name guys, he sets himself up nicely for a Ward rematch.
BUT.......im not sure he wants that.
I'll be honest.....Ward beats Froch 10 times out of 10.
There is just a ceiling for this guys career talent wise.

I hate these kinds of posts.
Rematches with Kessler or Dirrell are very interesting right now. He's not gonna beat Ward so might as well just go a different route instead of perusing that fight.
Not happening. Beating the fraudulent, chinless Bootay does not automatically make a figjt with Ward more competitive
Bute isn't chinless, he took a lot of big shots in there. As to whether he was 'fraudulent', we won't know until he takes on another top contender. Froch looked like a stylistic nightmare for him in there.
I agree though, Froch loses to Ward every time, he openly says he doesn't want that fight. He wants Kessler.
