fair i just happen to be travelling in that area around then...checked how much ticket's were for a laugh..and they were insanely cheap...i paid 100 Canadian for pretty decent seats...compared to when i went to ufc in toronto ,it was 800 for the same type of seats
Lampley, Merchant and Foreman were the best trio ever and provided plenty of entertainment and laughs
-The referee is going to be the most important person in the ring tonight besides the fighters (During Roy Jones Jr vs John Ruiz)
-Generally when there's a lot of smoke... there's just a whole lot more smoke.
-He broke his legs. His legs are broken (During Lewis-Grant, Grant gets up seconds later and continues to fight)
Foreman: Look at De La Hoya's shoulders
Lampley: What about them?
Foreman: Look at them. They're massive.
Foreman: Antonio Tarver is just as fast as Roy Jones
Lampley: Oh I don't know about that
Foreman: Oh yes he is, with that uh straight left hand...(followed by awkward silence)
-Roy Jones is playing the feinting game and Griffin is benefiting by it (Seconds before Jones knocks him out)
-Oh you better look out for those rich guys. They eat Caviar but they sure are tough. I wouldn't mess with those rich guys. (During De La Hoya-Vargas)
-All he needs is one big punch (Every single HBO broadcast)
-Hopkins is tired now. His back just touched the ropes. (During Hopkins-Trinidad)
Foreman: You gotta admit, we're watching this great fight and it was Larry Merchant, who never stopped talking about the rematch, that's why the fight is happening
Merchant: You think I brought in these 13, or 14 thousand people George?
Foreman: Oh yes you did
(While Barrera-Morales go toe to toe in the 12th round of their second fight)
-Go get me a sandwich and sit down (To Teddy Atlas)
Foreman: These guys are big for middleweights
Merchant: They're light-heavyweights George
Foreman: Light-heavyweights
-I have De La Hoya and his piston like jab winning hands down (While DLH is clearly losing to Mosley)
-He should punch him in the chest, saps all of your opponents energy away (Every HBO broadcast)
Lampley: Can you believe Jack Mosley is telling his son he is winning the fight
Foreman: Oh yes he is
(During the last round of Forrest-Mosley 1)
-Torres can take Cotto's best shot (second later Cotto knocks Torres down)
-Oh there it is! He's been looking for that punch all night (Camacho lands a soft left hand against De La Hoya in the 12th) Lampley says something like "come on George"
Lampley says something like Hopkins doesn't look to be tiring
Foreman: Oh yes he is
Lampley: What are the signs Hopkins is slowing down?
Foreman: He went back to the corner and laid his legs out, Trinidad is still sitting in a upright position
-De La Hoya has a better jab than Quartey (While Quartey peppers De La Hoya with the jab)
-You never follow a puncher (Every single HBO broadcast)
-Jones can beat any of these heavyweights. I don't care if their 6 foot 12 (During Jones-Ruiz)
-Believe me, Lewis is hurt right now (Seconds later Lewis knocks down Ruddock)
-Shane better be careful he doesn't get intimidated by those trunks. Sometimes you see a guy with trunks like that and you go wow (During Mosley-Stone, Stone is wearing tiger print trunks)
-Barkley can still turn it around (After Barkley had lost 10 rounds to James Toney)
-Ledwaba is a master boxer, he should use it to his advantage and box (a few rounds later) Sometimes you cant rely on your boxing abilities and fight the guy (During Pacquiao-Ledwaba)
-All this backing up that Hopkins is doing saps his strength and you need all of your strength against a puncher like Trinidad (In the 10th round after Hopkins dominated the whole fight)
-Oscar's jab is much better, much sharper. Everyone talks about this great jab Quartey has, I don't see it (Even though Quartey is winning the early rounds of their fight)
Foreman: I don't like the way the sweat is rolling off Jones head
Lampley: What don't you like about it? (Clearly confused)
Foreman: It's just rolling off...pitifully
(During Roy Jones vs Eric Lucas)
GOLD ....i could read these for hours, got any more ?!
So you were saving up this alt just to post your first message in this thread?

Plot twist: They are the aborted twins. They survived it, grew up, and time traveled back to the present.
You think those slick skills are a coincidence?

1 of the prior fights you could watch on the wbss website if in america
https://worldboxingsuperseries.com/
not sure if thats the case anymore
they got a stream up there now...but is unavailable just like all the fights on there have been for me ...(in canada)
it's a much bigger percentage of bodyweigth when you consdier that rigondeaux is 122 lbs. the guy is legitimately tiny, and when you're that small 8 lbs is a huge deal.
more importantly, he'll give up a lot of weight in the ring on figh tnight. i'm guessing about 10 lbs, or close to 10% of his body weight. huge advantage in a boxing match when somebody isn't outright better than the other. can be insurmountable when the skill level is the same.
i don't expect most of you to understand that, but that's the reality. i've shaken hands with and sat with bantamweights at a dinner table. they're literally smaller than your girlfriend.
imagine if your girl put on 10 lbs of muscle :lol1:. you'd even notice it on anthony joshua, and you'll for sure notice it when the guys are 120-130 lbs.
i've already said pretty much exactly this...OP is just narrow minded and only wants to believe what he thinks ..extremely childish and absolutely wrong on his part but hey welcome to boxingscene...where everything's made up and facts don't matter!
I don't give a f*ck about any of that. It didn't stop Manny Pacquaio from barnstorming from flyweight to junior middleweight.
Stop making excuses.
lol its not an excuse ...its fact..I dont have a horse in this one, i love both fighters. rigo signed up for this fight at 130 so if he loses he loses, ill give loma credit..if rigo wins ill give him credit ..manny pacquiao has NOTHING to do with anything that has been said here, so carry on angry child
Rigo is moving up 8 pounds, the same amount as a move from middleweight to super middleweight.
its not the same amount at all..you have to take into consideration how much more of a percentage of body weight 8 pounds is to a 122 pound man vs 160 pound man..thats why the smaller weight classes are more closer together 118-122-126-130 compared to 160-168-175-200
What superiority? They get their asses whooped once they get out the kiddy pool.
were talking about amateur boxing/olympics...because you know thats all there is in cuba ..so read first before you come in here sounding like a fool.
What superiority? They get their asses whooped once they get out the kiddy pool.
http://d152tffy3gbaeg.cloudfront.net/2016/08/AIBA_BANNER_SOCIAL_MEDIA_800x800_OG_MEDALS.jpg
THIS is what were talking about here.
cubans are some of the greatest boxers, no boxing fan should deny that
thank you sir...i didn't think this was an argument ..the irony of this idiot telling me to "learn something with yo retarded ass" is hilarious
Wouldn't surprise me at all. 48 is probably stretch though but early 40's wouldn't surprise me
Also, Mansour has his maths wrong regarding Rigo. If you competed in 3 Olympics, it would be over an 8 year span, not 12. Anyway, Rigo was only in 2 anyway i think? 2000 and 2004.
3 Olympics = 12 years ..remember it alternates summer/winter/summer .. so every 4 years there is a summer Olympics
Agreed!
Pirog beat a broken Jacobs that was suffering from early symptoms of spinal cancer. Dude could barely walk as it progresed which wasn't even a year later after the Pirog loss. I'm 100% sure it impacted his performance.
Pirog got lucky and hadn't fought anybody since. He's not even out of the prospect range with 20 fights/wins.
Being out isnce 2012, it's official: Pirog is a nobody and will always be a nobody.
pretty unfair to say...dude broke his back..and not mike tyson broken back..like for real for real broken back
No he didn't you fùcking peasant.
SOURCE: http://www.espn.com/boxing/story/_/id/8133630/dmitry-pirog-his-august-hbo-fight-middleweight-titlist-gennady-golovkin-serious-back-injury
Ruptured (aka herniated) disc isn't a broken back and he didn't get that from hitting a tire with a sledgehammer. It's not a serious injury, very basic and very fixable. I have a similar injury. If you're in your 50's you probably have a herniated disc. It happens when you get older.
Something else went down with Pirog nobody is talking about. He was suppossed to fight Golovkin, now that IS interesting.
duuuuuuuuude ..what the hell is up with people on this site. is this where you come to blow off steam from your crappy daily life? christ reality must be AWFUL for you lol he CLEARLY had a back injury that prevented him from competing at the highest level of boxing are you retarded or what?
What superiority? They get their asses whooped once they get out the kiddy pool.
and of course before you say they arent superior to america look at this first
"United States is about 89 times bigger than Cuba. Cuba is approximately 110,860 sq km, while United States is approximately 9,833,517 sq km. Meanwhile, the population of Cuba is ~11 million people (313 million more people live in United States)"
This kind of boggled my mind when i thought about it, Pacquiao has put on more impressive performances over his career imo, I think prime pacquio is a more naturally gifted fighter but then when i think about it i don't think any version of many beats canelo at 152/154.
the pac that fought ODLH or margartito doesnt beat the canelo that fought floyd ? thats crazy talk
They get their ass whooped when they step out the kiddy pool. What's hard to understand about that?
If you look at recent history in the am game they ain't so dominate anymore. Know why? Most countries started paying their amateur's too. When others started doing what they do they no longer dominate. Everyone isn't sending out teenagers to fight semi-pro 28 year old cuban's anymore. Learn something with your retarded ass.
first of all...not sure what this kiddy pool non sense is but it doesn't have anything to do with what anyone is talking about here. What i have only been speaking on is Cuban amateur boxing.
second of all... recent times? you're back tracking on their overall superiority. get over it.
third of all ... way to resort to name calling when your argument is nonsensical.
What next.. Some old I'm rubber you're glue bull****?
Old ***** ass got triggered. :lol1:
not sure where all this old talk is coming from ,but if 27 is old then so be it ,guess i'm an "oldhead" ...but its been a week or more and you're still on here acting out and crying cause reality isn't going your way. Now go back to your kiddy pool and have a nap nap :bottle:
