Why?
Cotto and Lemieux are both with GBP.
You think Broner would avoid Matthysse?
As I said, Cotto wants no part of Lemieux. He wants to go out with an easy fight.
And highly doubtful that Haymon is going to work with Golden Boy after Golden Boy sued him for $300 million, so no Matthysse vs. Broner.
140 or 147? Either way Broner outboxes Lucas.Broner is very short on stamina. He only throws about 30 punches a round. Two handed punchers who attack him hard and don't give him time to rest are his nightmare as proven by the three fights he lost. Matthysse is a two handed puncher with fast combinations. He is a high pressure attacking fighter who throws 70 or 80 punches a round. I am surprised Broner took the fight. I think he will be sorry he did.
finally, lets work together you boxing douche bags! so much money that can be made and fans turned back on. these idiots just wanna keep all for themselves.
Good card so far.
I will believe Cotto is fighting Lemieux when the contracts are signed and it's a done deal. As of now I don't believe Cotto will fight Lemieux who is too big, too dangerous and hits too hard.
I think a lot of people are counting Broner out here. I love Lucas but I also question his belief in himself at the high level of boxing. Lucas doesn't maul you like Maidana or Porter and he's not a sharpshooter like Mikey. Wouldn't be surprised to see Broner get back on track with this one.broner isn't high level. lucas should handle him.
According to ESPN, Golden Boy are planning Miguel Cotto v David Lemieux and Lucas Matthysse v Adrien Broner on the same card! NY, Dec 2nd.— Michael Benson (@MichaelBensonn) September 27, 2017
I've got broner by stunning ko

Zero chance that happens. Zero.
Heart is something I have always questioned Matthysse for. Hes tougher than me, dont get me wrong but at the Championship level hes come up short. Styles make fights though and this 1 would be good.

If this is true, they are 2 cross road fights. If Lem beats Cotto, he will cement himself in a position to fight GGG again or Canelo.
Broner v Matthysse is a fight between 2 guys clinging onto relevancy. I think Broner picks up a win though.
love this card although i think lemieux is huge for cotto. i don't know what does cotto get from this fight aside money wich i don't know how much can he get from fighting lemieux.
lucas-broner is a sink of float fight for both. should be charged with a lot of drama and tension
This is a very good card. This is exactly the kind of card that boxing needs in order to draw new fans; Especially on non-premium, pay per view television.
The only potential draw back I see is that the casual fan may have trouble locating this card because it's on basic cable network television as opposed to regular network television which may make it somewhat difficult for the average viewer to find.
