Lovemore N'dou - gassed and running in the final rounds
DeMarcus Corley - caught and buzzed pretty bad
Ricardo Torres - hurt badly and dropped
Zab Judah - busted up and almost did the chicken dance himself
Shane Mosley - gassed and running in the end, again
Antonio Margarito - beatdown and quit
Joshua Clottey - gassed and running, yet again
Props to Miguel for making it this far and finding a way to win the above fights with the exception of the Margarito beatdown. In Manny Pacquiao he faces one of the very best, elite fighters of this era, regardless of the weight difference. And with the kind of vulnerabilities he's shown in the past, chances are pretty damn good that he won't make it to the final bell against the Pacman.
And no, this is not hating, as many of you will be quick to call it. I'm just analyzing the upcoming fight and calling it how I see it.
Are you telling Manny Pacquiao is fighting a shot fighter? So don't worry about it.
I like Manny, but he's had his share of problems too. He was knocked out a long time ago and he had a pretty bad time against El Terrible and Marquez. This is boxing you know.
Although I like Manny a lot I'm not feeling the same way about you. You see Manny respects fighters you don't.
we're going p4p. Marquez at his best weight has faster hands than Cotto at his best weight with more accuracy.
Marquez is a lightweight he's suppose to be faster. Now Cotto is pretty fast for his size. He's a big dude, but he isn't that tall.
Two similiar fighters, but two different weight classes.
I say their about egual. Marquez is at his best around 125 to 135 while Cotto is at his best around 142 to 149. I say Marquez has a chance to beat him at 135, but at 140 its too much.
None of them can really beat the other in their natural weight.
He probably should be, but it wont happen. Tito Trinidad was undefeated and got a win over Oscar De La Hoya the number 1 P4P fighter at the time, but yet he didn't get ranked number 1. He was fighting tough and top fighters and was undefeated while others who fought no name fighters took that position. It was like if they ranked Paul Williams number one despite not beating any elite fighter. P4P rankings are a joke.
Manny Pac looks built like Goku. I guess after every battle he gets stronger and stronger.
I guess we all have to wait and see in what level he's on, cause Miguel Cotto been through some wars of his own.
There's was so much in that interview that I bet Floyd is regretting he did it.
In fact it be nice if someone did another thread just to pick out the best or your favorite quotes.
Like when they told Floyd that Leonard was better than him. Floyd answers: Leonard lost to Camacho Sr. Some Classic Stuff there.
Floyd Mayweather Jr. started his career in boxing in 1996 and in 1997 Sugar Ray Leonard ended his. Yet Floyd Mayweather Jr. said to his favor that he was better than Suagr Ray Leonard because Leonard lost to Hector Macho Camacho Sr.
Since when did Floyd start watching boxing? When his career started in 96? Leonard already had retired and made one comeback fight in 1997.
When it comes to talking Floyd Mayweather should stick to "offense", because his defend sucks. On second thought he better do his talking in the ring.
Floyd Mayweather Jr is a WW, this is his WW resume.
Juan Manuel Marquez(Lightweight)
Ricky Hatton(Jr WW)
Carlos Manuel Baldomir
Zab Judah
Sharmba Mitchell
Crap!
Where's the true top WW's like Cotto, Mosley?
Not that impressive, but your signature is.
Who's that girl?
Maybe he is the truth, but I like to see if he feels the same way about fighting a Dawson.
I think Paul Williams can arguably beat everyone, but as soon as he starts getting bigger will he be willing to fight someone that represents a real threat to him someone big with knocking power? I guess only time will tell.
This might have been history in the making. Luis Campas fought the father and the Son back to back. Its hard to believe this has ever happen before.
In an other subject the Camachos are so crazy that I wouldn't be surprise if they fought eachother. Its the perfect excuse for those who ever wanted to whoop their dad. Just kidding my friends.
That headline of the story was a teaser. I thought that JCC Sr was going to give a high opinion of Cotto to make up for what Vargas did by saying that Cotto is a quitter. Lol.
I doubt it.
Chavez is right. Cotto should KO lil Pac in 6.
No body doubts it, but can he catch the little guy? Being small and fast is a hard target. Shane was quick, but he was also a bigger target and Judah planted his feet too much.
Pac-Man might turn out to be the mouse Cotto can't catch, but if he does he will satisfy his hunger.
