I see a lot of peepz going for Cotto now. Not just on NSB, but even peepz I talk too here in P.R and stateside. Do you think it is because of the last 24/7 episode or do you not agree that more peepz are going for Cotto?

If I owned ESPN... I would hype the hell out of Pac, hire a private eye to check that Cotto is not taking a dive... and then bet millions on Miguelito.
What I find suspicious is that I have not seen the Pac fans around for a couple of days now. I wonder why? Are they starting to realize the truth, that Pac can be hit and he will get hit Nov 14, unless he gets a lucky shot. On another note, when people talk about size here, the Pac fans compare height, which is not what people mean. If you look at Cotto from behind, you will see that his back is huge for a WW. Cotto looks pretty big compare to Pac, just an observation.:theyareon
Yeah some have went pack clicked their heels three times and went back to Pacland, but I don't know why this IS going to be a good close fight.
Good post! I am actually telling a lot of people that Cotto might need to watch out for Pac's power, but I am sure Cotto will be himself on fight night. That means he WILL not get Hattonized.

This fight is just too close to call - regardless of what actually happens in the ring. It's kinda like the Cotto-Margarito fight where one or two variables made all the world of difference. Cotto wasn't able to do it over the distance and Margarito walked through hell to finish the job. Everyone is talking about Pacquiao taking shots from a big welter but I'm as interested in seeing how well Cotto deals with Manny's bombs. He's going to land a couple, that much is for sure.

I think common sense is startin' to kick-in with the neutral fans.....each dude has a enormous amount of loyal soldiers aka fans.....so they balance each other out.....at first the neutrals was sayin' Manny......now that common sense has started to make its move in the brains of the neutrals.....we now realize Manny is too small plus Floyd's one sided scrap with JMM made peeps see that size DO matter in certain match-ups.....and this could be one of them!!!.......Cotto stoppin' Pac in 7 is what I'm stickin' by!!!
Science or physics doesn't apply to Pac. He's an exception to the rule and defies all logic. He does the unthinkable and time and time again has proven his detractors wrong and makes the so called experts look amateurs with their boxing knowledge.

Everyone at my job is picking Cotto. People that use common sense and not based on last fight, are picking accurately so to speak. Cotto's size and skills cannot be overlooked by any means. People picking Pacquiao are basically picking him on last performances of the two or just gambling it and thinking Pacquiao will pull a miracle. I think it's 50/50 still but if I had to favor someone, I would pick Cotto by all means.
whats their nationality?

Good post! Out of my close friends 3 are going for Pac, and 4 are going for Cotto.

LOL! My girl is pinoy and she is driving me nuts! I already have made a few bets. I really never make huge bets cause I remember how that sh!t left some of my friends in ruins.
Haha word, I got a lot of Pinoy homeys and we're havin fun talkin shit to eachother.
Yea I ain't much of a gambler, I've got a couple hundred bucks in bets with friends not really for the money but just to prove my point haha.
Yea, tons of Manny fans out here, there are a lot of Phillipino's where I'm from.
I'll tell you honestly that every person I've spoke to in regard to the fight doesn't seem to give Cotto a chance. I've said from day one though that I prefer it that way cuz I'm gonna make a decent buck on this one thanks to people countin Miguel out.

You're from L.A. right? I would think most people there would root for Manny! I have friends from Caly to the East Coast (this is cause I was in the military), and many of them are saying Cotto now.

fact here is this, as the fight draws closer people are getting smarter and apparently doing their research. this is what i've said all along, if people research both fighters careers and circumstances going into this fight, they'll notice it's been all set up for manny to face cotto, lose and work on the next hype train called the cotto express.
you will notice there's no indication in mannys career, if you truly analyze it, to think he has an actual realistic chance of winning this fight. hbo knows it, mayweather knows it and those who've followed both boxers careers do as well. this is not a welterweight who was drained or way past his prime, this is no overhyped crazy brawler - it's a heavy natural welterweight. it's a fight designed to put the spotlight on cotto and make him look like they made pacquiao look in the past. this is as far as the road comes for pacquiao (in terms of going up in weight and looking deadly - because a shot de la hoya is as heavy as he'll be successful at) and the same will happen with cotto eventually. a victory for cotto would open various amounts of revenue opportunities and create a big cash cow.
people will be hyping him like crazy for a mayweather fight and they could make him go up in weight and fight guys like paul williams. there's still road to make money out cotto, more than mannys. manny will still sell and make money, just not in fights that would draw as much money as cotto due to the options available. it's a business and the moves/fights are done to squeeze that cow until it's empty.
Great fvcking post! Green k!!!!
I think a lot a people are comparing a fully dehydrated De La Hoya with a healthy Cotto. It was the big bad De La Hoya picking on little Manny but weight draining makes a big difference. Cotto will wont allow his ass to be weight drained.
I agree! I mean Pac is a great fighter, but DLH wasn't DLH that night. Now the Hatton fight surprised me cause I never though Manny had that kind of power. So with this said, if Cotto gets careless he CAN get KTFO, BUT I really never seen him get tagged with something he couldn't handle.
Hey a lot of peepz didn't think DLH was gonna come in being a weight drained zombie.

Pac is too fast. The whole Cotto is too big argument completly eliminates the relative boxing skills of both fighters and avoids that Manny has done well moving up in weight.
I bet its the same people who said DLH will KO little Pac easy, etc etc.
