So Golovkin was outjabing and dropping Jacobs in a 12 rds fight and this somehow looked like a 'loss' on his record but FMJ going 12 rds with his former opponents is 'OK' and super cool! LOL Dumbass logic.
He has like no muscle definition at all. Meanwhile the 37 year old Ukraine is shredded.
I guess its poor genetics. Also I think he's focusing more on boxing specific training and not so much on high intensity S&C workout. His wrists and his forearms look brittle too.
It's a smart move. That IBF strap would give to BJS some leverage in negotiations against 168 WBSS's winner in a big domestic fight. Also the WBO belt could secure to Saunders a fight with the winner of Canelo-GGG rematch.
Even if Groves beats Jr is not such a big deal. What good name Eubank jr has beaten to point that he is a top fighter ? None! The only problem with Groves is that he has some mileage and those two fights against Froch were brutal and took a lot from him.
Something is just not right with Jnr. He looks the part, has great speed. But he has a strange heavy footed off balance look. He's got a very good workrate, but little power. Maybe if Abraham can hit him we'll find out a little about he's chin tonight. Everyone assumes it's solid because of he's dad. But it didn't work that way with Wlad and Vitali. Could be interesting.
Yeah, he's not fluid enough. IMO he's just a raw fighter with some power. If Abe still has the same amount of fuel in his tank like when he fought Stieglitz and Paul Smith , this fight should be interesting.
I think Canelo vs GGG III is still the best money fight for both fighters and yes this time Canelo should beat a much older and faded GGG. It would be a clear statement by Canelo.
We need a better idea of where Ramirez is at, how he moves, etc. An aged Abraham doesn't require much footwork, counter-punching, head movement, etc. It's really hard to say how Ramirez responds to Golovkin. His reach alone should be a factor. But, can he do what is required to hit Golovkin throughout a fight without eventually getting pinned down? Working off the back foot, getting off first, sharp footwork, etc. We really don't know enough about Ramirez.
Indeed Zurdo would have a big advantage in weight, height and reach over GGG but at the end of the day skills pay the bills and GGG is the guy with the better boxing skills. I think GGG's stocks would increase a lot by having a victory over a smw champion.
Both men would give Canelo problems. Much more problems than Canelo's last four tailor-made opponents: the chinny, inactive and utterly hittable Kirkland, the undersized glass-chinned Khan, a favorable style matchup against the smaller Cotto and Liam Smith (no explanation needed here).
Canelo has never fought anyone with Lemieux's size and power. Willie Monroe just stylistically would probably make him look bad or at least average. He has good footwork, good upper-body movement and he's a decent-sized middleweight. Both are worthier challengers than at least three of the last four Canelo's opponents.
yep, both Lemmy and Willie would be real tests for Canelo @160.
I agree, Monroe, Adama and Brook are the only fighters to give Golovkin problems but they can't keep it up due to Golovkin's power, Monroe could probably beat every brawler at 154-160, maybe if Lemiuex lands a clean shot he KO's Monroe but no way he outboxes Monroe
Lemmy couldn't drop Fabian Rios, so I doubt he would K.O Monroe. From a stylistically point Canelo would probably choose Lemieux as a fight preparation for GGG.
Neither of them, one because he has no jab/ head movement with a questionable chin. The other because he doesn't possess any power and likes to fight with his right hand hanging low, which is why Golovkin already knew the left hook was the best weapon of choice. Canelo has a versatile left hook, I'd pick Canelo to stop both.
Maybe Canelo beats both but only a true match @160lbs can tell us.
Adama, Curtis Stevens, Kell Brook, Wade... They all have great chances at beating Canelo. Alvarez would be a huge underdog in Vegas, that's for sure.
Canelo is a very good fighter with lots of SUPPORT. You have to literally KTFO him to get the victory in Texas or even Vegas.
Monroe Jr looooooooooool
Anyway, seriously, Lem has a great chance if the fight is at 160. If Canelo makes Lem sweat down and he finds it difficult enough to make 160 then Lem will be drained of his strength and stopped.
Yeah, I also have the feeling Lemieux is having a hard time to make 160 lbs. 158 or even 159 lbs would take a lot from him.

Fury clowned Wlad in his backyard, enough said! Fury can fight because he's a natural born fighter , not a KEN doll fighter like Wlad, Femi and Burger Squad.
