GEORGE GROVES should have the edge over Chris Eubank Jnr. This is an intriguing clash but I'm leaning towards the WBA super-middleweight champion holding on to his title and booking a place in the World Boxing Super Series final. It comes down to both boxers' experience for me and you look at who has the best record so far. Click Here To Read More]
Yada yada yada...
The only reason Fishy Frank sees Groves winning is because he wants to. He doesn't like Eubank. That's the only reason.
Deep down he knows Groves can't win. He's been in the business for too long to be that incompetent.
Frank has no credibility saying that Eubank is looking awesome will be a good fight though, for me Groves looks shook.
You both were saying?
Everybody with basic boxing knowledge should know. Many let their feelings blind them, though.
Eubank is faster, stronger, has the better fundamentals and punch selection and the better stamina. Oh, mental strength, too.
Everyone with basic boxing knowledge and not hype train kids-
We won big bets tonight.

Jokes on you
Frank Warren called it
On another hand: Warren is a promoter... he knows that Groves is a Sauerland fighter, and that Sauerland co-promotes World Boxing Super Series... Therefore: it's very likely that, if it goes to the score cards, Groves to be awarded a "hard fought decision"... :)
The WBSS isn't your normal boxing drama. It's about the fight, not the promoter. No bad judging or homecooking here.
There's so much hate for the Eubanks it's makes me want him to win more.
Also the fact that I followed his dad's career and Jr from the beginning and feel he's got something special and just needs to step up to show it. Today is that day and nobody can argue that Groves isn't a live world class operator. However I can guarantee that the haters will come out in force if he wins to say Groves was never any good and is just another Euro bum who was over the hill. I'm looking forward to all the haters eating their words and doing anything to take credit away from Eubank.
Now don't get me wrong, I'm not a Eubank lover, I just like exciting fights like he provides, but I'm also a big fan of Groves, especially after he put the beatdown on Degale when everyone had no idea who he was. Basically I don't hate anyone in boxing, it takes balls to fight and as long as they're not cheating I'm happy whatever the outcome.
In the long term I think boxing will be better off if Eubank wins, but Groves should start to get a bit more recognition after today if he wins.

Even if Groves beats Jr is not such a big deal. What good name Eubank jr has beaten to point that he is a top fighter ? None! The only problem with Groves is that he has some mileage and those two fights against Froch were brutal and took a lot from him.

Thing that surprises me is that Groves is only a year older than Eubank, yet it feels like Groves has been around so much longer (which I guess he has), while Eubank feels like the new up-and-comer.
What would Eubank's record look like if he had fought the opposition that Groves has ? For sure Groves has been in there tough, while Eubank has largely been posturing around the edges.
The comment that Eubank has the physical attributes but not the brain might be on point. I suspect Eubank's undoing will be against technical boxers, and to an extent, Saunders already lit the way on that.
I don't have a feel for this one as I'm not sure how much I've fallen for Eubank's bluster, wouldn't shock me in the slightest if Groves boxed his ears off for 12. Also wouldn't shock me if Eubank blasted him out. Looking forward to it.

The Eubank's are the bane to his existence
