Yes, in a REAL fight in town at night, you'd lay down on the ground trying to choke out the guy you're fighting.. What's up with that? NEVER get on the ground in a street fight, wops he had had a buddy.. Damn, now your face is all broken and messed up.. Because it got stomped on while you were trying to choke him out..
Anyway, to the point.
There's a reason why MMA fighters train MMA and boxers train boxing. It's what their best at, therefore putting either one into a fight where their weaknesses is exposed as clearly as it was in the Toney - Couture fight is ridiculous.
You can always say a boxer will beat a MMA fighter in a boxing match and vice versa. Because that's what would happen, so why all the hate? It's two martial arts, enterainment, watch the one you prefer and stop hating so much on the other. They're all brave for stepping in the ring.
I didn't pick up on Pac feeling scared, intimidated or anything along those lines. They both kept eye contact, neither of them blinked and I think as someone mentioned above me - he's used to the pressure and this level of competition.
It would be refreshing to see a new WW champion emerge from Bradley (I'm rooting for him to win), but I do believe that Pacquiao still has it and that Bradley will feel it.
The content which I provided had been tampered with and therefore this thread is pure bullsh|t. Sorry, I already reported it and hopefully it will be removed shortly.
I didn't pay for the 1st fight and would definitely not pay for the second one either.
It was broadcasted free of charge on a danish sports channel, so - no thanks.
I'm with you on this one. It would be impressive to say the least, if Bradley could pull it off. I'm siding with Bradley in this fight, but I still do believe Pacquiao will win. Especially if Bradley decides to go toe-to-toe with him.
European Championship is starting for football now!!! Let the fun begin!!!!!
They wouldn't.
It's the mindset of a pactard.
If pac had fought him, then he'd be in his prime still and been the one of the top fighters of the division.
What I say on this matter, with a somewhat objective matter (if one can ever be completely objective) is that Shane wasn't in his prime, but surely wasn't burned out.
Remember, this is the same Shane that gave Margarito an ass whooping.
Besides, the whole Pac and Floyd thing is sickening. They're both divas and should just shut up and sign the contract. They're cheating boxing fans from the best fight in recent years in boxing. ****ing queens.
I pray every day he retires.
If I wouldn't be lazy I'd post that ''Please God make it stop'' pic.
Me too, me too.. Just hang up the gloves Holyfield, you've had a great run.
That is not the point.
The point is, Yeah he won on the 2nd bout. But he clearly lost the first.
So his record will always be questionable that it really ain't perfect after all. You dig =)
How is that questionable when he has a 0 next to losses? His record is NOT flawed, it's perfect.
I can't think of a sport that matches the physical demands of boxing, going 12 rounds with only 1minutes rest in between.
It's not like a team sport where you can relax and rely on a team member, or even another solo sport where you can take a (physical and mental) breather as you know by doing so you could get seriously hurt..
MMA maybe close but as there is take downs much less rounds it stops the chances of a 12 round warrior type fight.
Peak for peak I can't think of another athlete that would be as fit and in such a physical shape as the likes of pacquiao and mayweather..
Your thoughts?
It's definitely up there.. But it all depends on what you define as the most physical demanding, as to some people running can be harder than swimming etc.. I'd say it comes down to the individual differences.
Even the threads not about Floyd - Pacquiao still end up revolving around them anyway.. It's annoying for those who actually wants to discuss what's going on in boxing, except for these repetitive arguments and nonsense threads going on..
One dimensional LOL.....Oh yea...well...well...how come Floyd can't...no...who's the FIGHTER OF THE DECADE huh....
Enough with the Fighter of the Decade already.. How does that title suddenly change everything? Does it come with an extra set of skills or something magical to fix a fighters flaws? No I think not, so please, just stop posting the same post all the time. All your posts I've read has been about that title.. Just stop, it doesn't change anything, especially when they're facing each other in the ring.. Then we'll see who's the better fighter, don't let some magazine based title decide that, worthless.
Mayweather even nasim richardson said it in the fight vs shane "this kid's gift is his conditioning"
pound for pound id go with prime tyson
i can't think of many fighters PERIOD that could throw combois that fast, with that much power, and for that long without gassing
Great Mayweather training montage.. Green k your way
if they do they must have good mental defense to fight and know all the shit talk that goes around here.
Maybe they're the ones that are doing the shit talking.. Would make sense to some degree
But it's not possible for him that the trash talk Paulie is doing, is actually getting to him? Because if he overreacts, HE must be roiding.. right? I'm not saying he's not, I'm just saying, consider the fact that Amir is taking all the B/S Paulie is saying personally.
Because Pac is Fighter Of The Decade and Floyd is not...simple as that
No way in hell that justifies it.. That's like saying if Pacquiao slept around and was cheating on his wife was ok, because he's the fighter of the decade.. It's just not a valid excuse.
Personally, if I was confident in beating this guy, I'd do the tests.. I'd cash in the 40 mil and be happy.. Then again, I don't know what's going through his mind..
Still, there's always the excuses that he's afraid of needles.. Fighter of the Decade who's afraid of needles, gimme a break..
Same question again and again.
From what I can see there's two main reasons:
- Pacquiao has no reason to get pushed around by Mayweather, there's no reason for Mayweather to decide the terms of the fight.
- Perhaps Pacquiao is on something and is afraid to get caught.
All the stuff with him getting weak and him being superficial is all B/S. That's why they threw around with random excuses in the beginning, they couldn't find a proper excuse and reason to stick with.. Now they have one, if it's proper.. That's up to the individual.
Why believe what anyone says? You don't think Manny is shady? Just because people act in a certain way or are presented in a certain way to the public, doesn't necessarily mean that they're like that in person. For all we know, it could just be an illusion.
Everyone is entitled to their own opinion, which I can see you've clearly expressed your dislike for Young Money ATM Floyd Mayweather.
In boxing it's the landed punches that hurt your opponent. That's what matters.
It is the hurt game knowing oyur landing your punches to your opponent means your skillfull enough to duck counter etc..
The more you land the more you score the more oyur rewarded for a decision if it come to that.
But if your talking knock out punch and still PAc has more power hand down to Knock out floyd.
Its the hurt game remember. The one who hurts his opponents the most wins. Enuf said. Peace out =)
So wait wait wait.. Pacquaio is supposed to be a master of defense according to you right? I mean, he has the highest work rate.. That's why he never got hit by Cotto or Clottey, right? Because he punches more than his opponent? It's not always who lands the most, it's also the fashion in which they land them. If someone dodges, ducks, weaves and outworks a 4-5 punch combination and land 1-2 clean punches themselves, even if they take 1-3 of the punches, the clean punches would give more.. At least in my opinion and on my scorecard. Again, I guess it's personal preferences, but I sincerely think your logic is flawed.
So he talks a bunch of trash and looks a certain way, nobody has to 'like' him per se - but I don't know what more he's got to do, what more odds he's got to take on, to earn all boxing fans' respect.
I know you're a boxing fan and not one of the straight creeps, so that's why it puzzles me.
The guy's true class comes out after a fight, win or lose.
He's got a pure heart.
I knew for a fact, said it to a friend, that, whoever won, Paul and Amir would look like friends at the end of this fight.
I see people wishing permanent damage on this great kid, and, I won't lie, I find it pretty depressing.
Why would anyone wish a fighter to get damaged for life? What a fukkin scumbag attitude, hiding behind your computer wishing someone who risks his life for your entertainment to get seriously injured..These so called "fans" are a disgrace to boxing.
Your logic fails completely.. What about precision? What about counter punches? Those are the punches that usually impacts the most.. What about punches missed? doesn't that count for something? So if Pacquiao threw 1200 punches and ONLY landed 260.. That would mean that Pacqiao's precision is bad and that it's also going to tire him, reduct points (if he misses by far margins).. There's no doubt that this fight CAN'T be decided and predicted before hand and this is because, there's far too many factors playing in here.. Way too many.
seriously man.. can't you guys find something else to talk about
Yeah seriously, it's all they talk about.. "That's gay, huhuh, gaay.. GAY, f4g".. I wonder why, I guess they're so insecure about their sexuality they have to keep confirming that they're 100% straight.. You know, especially on a forum.. Because that's EXTRA important.
Floyd's attire is pretty flamboyant at times.. Suits him.
