Oscar is a great guy. I was ringside for his fight against Ebo Elder; there was this lady sitting next to me who started chatting me up and she turned out to be Oscar's mother. Very nice lady and got me to meet Oscar after the fight. He was very friendly, especially considering he lost the fight. My heart goes out to his family and my prayers to a speedy recovery.
I like the changes and the game looks alot smoother. I'm sure they'll tighten up the graphics by release date...Did you see how unproportionately long Ali's arm was in demonstrating the reach advantage??
Hagler-Hearns.
@Fighting Flip -Yeah, he got caught on the last hook and tried to play it off. Per what Mayorga himself told me.

Palacios outbox Wlodarcyk with ease. El diablo won like 2 rounds and that being generous, and the scorecard where 115-113 for Palacios and 116-113, 118-112 for Wlodarcyk. Those scorecards where a disgrace and a shame for boxing.
In the other fight Lorenzo was beating N'dam up knock him down and he still got robbed and nasty too, with scored cards of 119-110 for N'dam.
Those to resulst where a disgrace to boxing. No wonder no one wants to go to europe and fight!!!!!
Thats the same thing I heard about Wizard's fight...tu sabes donde puedo descargar la pelea pa veerlo (el de Palacios)? I had a feeling that if he left it up to the judges something like this would happen. :nonono:
Update: Cuban boxers defect !
By José Elias Flores Jr - www.ringue.net
The Cuban delegation, as well as everybody at Pan Games 2007 at Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, was quite surprised when it was announced that two of Cuba's most pretigious amateur boxers, Erislandy Lara Santoya and two-time Olympic gold medalist Guillermo Rigondeaux, had left their teams for unknown reasons and could not be located. Both of them did not show up for the weigh in for their fights on Sunday (losing on W.O.) and have oficially been declared as "traitors" by longtime Cuban leader, Fidel Castro. "They were knocked out by that green paper. The United States have always used this kind of procedure to try to destroy Cuba's resistance," wrote Castro in a widely distributed email. Rigondeaux has won 244 of 248 amateur fights. According to Brazil's Globo TV, both boxers have probably traveled on a small plane to Paraguay, from where the have probably gone to somewhere in Europe. Recently, three other top Cuban boxers, including heavyweight Odlanier Solis, defected from their national team while training last December in Venezuela
Yeah I need to check theese out to ive been checking for Johnny "Mi vida loca" Tapia fight DVD carrer collection I havent found one, Ill definetaly check em out thanks............
Hey Cougar, I been lookig for one too and I found a guy who has one but he hasnt responded to my emails, so I dunno whats up. Here's the link:
http://www.boxingheaven.com/
He has some pretty good colelctions but no prices and I dunno about the quality. Weird that he would advertise it but not respond to peoples emails. I hate sites that do that.
I've been looking for sites that will sell the full career collections of fighters, but I can't seem to find any. The ones that I've looked at usually are missing a lot of fights. Can anyone point me in the right direction?
Try my boy Antonio here: http://spcacc.tripod.com/
he has some career collections at decent prices. Tell him Isaac sent you. Ebay is starting to boot everyone selling boxing dvds on there, which is killing my pocket, cuz you cant really get it cheaper elsewhere (especially for individual fights).
Update on the story from a rival site...Looks like Demirturk was right.
NEWS FLASH
Arena inks defected Cuban stars!
Arena Box-Promotion, which made big news by signing the three Cuban Olympic gold medalists who defected last December, has done it again. Two-time Olympic bantamweight gold medalist Guillermo Rigondeaux and world amatuer welterweight champion Erislandy Lara, who both defected from the Cuban team last week in Rio de Janeiro have signed five year deals with the Hamburg-based promotional company. Within the next four weeks, the two boxers will arrive in Hamburg. "I can't reveal where the athletes are currently, for understandable reasons," said Arena boss Ahmet Öner. "The fact is, however, is that it takes time to arrange the visas, as well as the residence and work permits. Of course we will present the young fighters to the public upon their arrival in Hamburg. I'm already looking forward already to that day."
well played...
I just dont see why people would pay when there is a better fight for free.
Nothing wrong with being a die hard fan, regardless of the matchup. Those who miss it can always catch it on the Traders forum or pick up a copy on dvd.
Please tell me you accidentally put Raul Marquez instead of Rafael Marquez. Raul Marquez is the Middleweight/Supermiddleweight that has never won a significant fight (to my knowledge).
lol..Yup...Rafael Marquez. Raul is retired as far as I know. Sorry about that.
well not this second but yeah he is training in my gym.
Hey Danny, what gym is that? I got Glen Johnson working out at my gym, KnockOut Boxing Club. Though I missed the press conference at my favorite restaurant last night. Thank the fiance for wanting to go to Bennigans.
I'm glad I didn't order this fight; it sounds like a real 'borefest.'
'Borefest'? I dunno, I like a slugfest as much as the casual fan does, but I'm a boxing fan and this sounds like a classic boxing match. Scoring seems to have gone back and forth with lots of counterpunching and one guy trying to outdo the other. As a true boxing fan, I'm sure most can appreciate that.
