I haven't seen much about this fight but I'm expecting this one to be just as good if not better that the first one. I'm picking Vazquez in this one again because I think he's tougher. If you take into account the breathing problems he was having since the first round he did very very well in the previous fight and I think he'll be even more focused and intense in this one. Either way it's to legitimate top 15 pound for pound (winner deserves top 5 imo) going at it who are both extremely skilled but love to duke it out, what more can a boxing fan ask for?
btw. i know it's the 4th, messed up.
hey i said vasquez is a warrior in my post. but i think it was a cowardly move to quit when he said he would rather die than quit. he should have never said that at all.
fair enough, i get what you're saying, but when it comes to something like that you can't take what he or any boxer says literally. he has a family you know, there is no reason for him to fight on if he can't breathe, why go out and put yourself in a worse position?
live to fight another day. your nose is broke and you can't breathe, why go out and get killed, call the fight and heal and come back to avenge the loss, which is exactly what he is doing. doesn't seem like a coward to me, seems like a guy who wants to win and wants to fight.
we can go all day about calling someone a coward and calling you a coward and this and that, but the fact remains, vazquez is getting back into the ring and going for the win again, like a warrior does. i just think calling him and his actions cowardly is cowardly, especially from inside your home on the computer. the man fights for a living to pay his bills, which is for our entertainment (mostly), and his pride. have some respect.
im always excited to see 2 of the best mexican warriors put there lives on the line for the excitement of the fans. there first fight was good but vasquez is a coward for quitting on his stool. he said he would never quit until he died in that ring but he showed he was full of crap. i hope he doesnt quit this time.
yo, that is some harsh shit to say about a true warrior like vazquez. it comes down to being a sitting duck, getting permanently injured or killed inside the ring. if you can't breathe, you can't fight, you can't see, you can't fight. those two things are imperative for living period, let alone fighting.
vazquez has proven his mettle in the ring long before that fight, you should respect him for even stepping into the ring.
you aint getting into the ring, so should we all call you a coward??? by your standards we should be calling your worse.....
i was planning to go to the fight but damn problems creep up and hit me hard cash wise but man im hyped about this one....the 1st fight was one hell of a fight and now we continue with rd 8......cant wait.....

Very much looking forward to this. Very much. :fing02:

and who are you to call Vazquez a coward? tell us about your pro fights, or tell us about whatever you do which puts you in the position to call a warrior a coward
yo it's august 4th not the 1st, the 1st is a wednesday, and actually it's my grandparents 60th anniversary on the 1st. amazing! huh? that is some pound for pound shit right there, 60 years of marriage.
but anywho, this fight ought to be FOTY or a solid candidate for it. as much as i like vazquez and thinks he capable of beating marquez, i think marquez is going to pull it out again. to me in their last fight other than getting caught and going down, i think he looked good and solid, and he saw enough of vazquez in their first fight to be able to take what he brings to the ring the second time around. unless vazquez mixes up his game plan. it's a close fight and a great match up, and seriously it can go either way, it's all going to come down to who is the better man the night of the fight..................
i'd like to see vazquez get the win and set up the rubber match. i could watch these two guys fight over and over again, these two guys inside the ring with each other is Fire and Ice, Fire and Ice..................

that's bullshit. he couldn't breath since the first round, if you don't think his quitting was justified then dont watch the second fight. You're criticising a guy who fought 6 rounds barely being able to breath versus a top 5 #4# guy in the world, if you think he's a coward, don't watch, no boxer needs fans like that.
I'm looking forward to it. But I think Marquez blows him out early. Except for the knock down, Marquez pretty much controlled the whole fight. Vazquez was game and landed his share, but Marquez was out gunning him.
unlike most people I am picking Vazquez. Vazquez was able to drop Marquez and was abloe to absorb some heavy shots nicely. I think that Vazquez being fully capable, without the nose being clogged, can be more active and puts in more work to wear down Marquez, not without being battered himself, but Vazquez is used to that.

I'm so excited for this, i'm prediciting that it ends up being the foty.
I'm one of the few on this site that thinks Vazquez will win. In the last fight, he was LANDING bombs in the last round before he went no mas because of the nose. I predict the same kind of fight... marquez will win early on, but then Vazquez will blast him away rounds 10-12.
Vazquez KO/TKO 11.
who are you picking to win?
I like both guys a lot, but you gotta go with Marquez in the fight.
If you make a poll right now, ill bet the overwhelming majority agrees with him.
I got him by Mid-to-Late round stoppage. Should be a great action fight though, Vazquez doesn't go without a battle. Just look at the Larios fight. That was an amazing fight, i think this one well be better than that fight!
