No he isn't overrated at all. But I'd agree if someone would say that he didn't get the chance against the all time great fighters during his prime. But beside that, he beat a couple of very good fighters, who would have undoublty hold the belts in the last era of the division. I disagree a lot with Breadman for example, but he was spot on just a couple of weaks ago when breaking down Tyson's opponents.

Your dad is surely not getting any credit for busting a nut in your mom, being how you came out. :baby:
I kind of think so.
No, he just have the slave contracts, which are even more effective than being a cult leader.
Oh in fact maybe you have a point... being that you need to be mind controlled to sign those slave contracts Al is giving to fighters.
Behind the head yet burst his eardrum, that's quite the punch.
Lol exactly, that's my point! No one was making excuses for the first KD from the 1st fight, where the punch landed behind Fury's head, but now they are like "oh Fury caught him behind the head, Wilder should have be given 5 minutes, it shouldn't be rulled the KD" Another exuse - A supposed Wilder's injury. This is why I'm not posting here anymore, except for the occasions like this one where I can come to NSB and have a laugh at the expense of all the fools.
Narratives, agendas blind casual fans and most times people dont watch full fights for themselves or form their own opinions.
Tyson had tough fights with Douglass, Tony Tucker fought to win and boxed very well and came to win, Razor Ruddock 2 times trading bombs , bone crusher smith tried to win the entire fight, was looking terrible vs Frans Botha towards the end of his career and pulled it out...Lewis had to beat the brakes off him to stop him
Tyson had a lot of heart and like all fighters you lose to the better man that day here is some proof for those who dont watch full fights
I absolutely agree with you man! It's just too bad this place has been ruined by the weak fanboys, racists and kids pretending to know everything that started watching boxing 2 years ago! Anyways Iron Mike had a lot of heart. Like you pointed out it's especially seen in 2 wars he hzf with Razor Ruddock and the fight that happened 14 years after his prime when he was taking Lewis' bombs for 8 rounds and having a 50lbs heavier man leaning on him for 8 rounds.
Lol @ Curt bringing up the Floyd fight instead of GGG fights. There's no problem with him taking the Floyd fight, while Floyd was old, Canelo was too green on the other hand and it was a risk worth taking as Floyd isn't known as a fighter taking the years off his opponents' careers. Why not mention GGG fights instead? He was pretending he was a junior middleweight for 2-3 years before fighting GGG, while finally weighting more then GGG in the ring. He was pretending he was a junior middleweight while at the same time not being able to make the junior middleweight limit so he invented what became to be known as Caneloweight. Oh yes, he also threw his WBC belt in the trash in the process. He also put a 1 way rehydration clause on the smaller, old azz Cotto, while not being under the same clause himself.
The problem is that Qawi would step in and close the distance on his opponents' punches, while Canelo on those same punches usually plants his feet and uses the head movement to evade and counter them.
Or maybe they were unbiased in this case as they had no horse in race. I had Prograis winning as well and a lot of his body work got unnoticed because of short sharp shots, as well as his defense and blocking on the inside. The rounds weren't easy to score because of the non stop back and forth action, I'll rewatch it tomorrow. But some people are scoring by listening to the commentators and crowd loudness instead of watching which punches are really landing and which aren't. For the similar reason people over here score only the blow out rounds for GGG cuse they are blind to see his subtle offensive and defensive work in the exchanges.
116-112 Prograis is about as disgusting as 117-112 Taylor. You can't score Prograis 4 points ahead in that fight. No way.
Believe it or not but I gave him 8 rou ds. As I said, I'm going to re-watch it tomorrow. I'm, not saying that my score is perfect, that's why I'm going to see it again. Anyways this is the fight of the year for me so far.
Yeah of course, Floyd also gets the credit with every Pacquiao's win, too. In fact, I'll credit Floyd with every win of Ali, Duran and Finito Lopez, Floyd's a Shang Tszung of boxing. You are a reeturd.
Bro he's just posturing because another black American boxer was getting some interest from the media.
That too and I'm aware that Floyd already announced his return a couple of times before to gain hype and mess with the other boxers, but this time I know he's going to fight Pacquiao because he has to. He ll probably fight in the cage first with stand up only allowed.
What do you mean he has to?
FLOYD has never had to do anything in his life that he didn't want to do.
For the same reason he fought McGregor. He has to pay off the IRS. The Khabib fight alone wouldn't be nowhere as lucrative, I think that this time he's even willing to sell his 0 to Pacquiao.
Gonzalez vs Cuadras
Gonzalez vs Rungvisai 1
Bradley vs Provodnikov

Joshua vs Klitschko
Skills pay the bills right?
It looks like this saying is outdated among the Wilder's supporters. They liked to use it back in the day while Floyd was still active, but not anymore since Wilder is their no 1 guy - since then, their deepest breakdown of the eventual Wilder vs Usyk fight is, I quote: "Wilder lands that right hand!"
Pac should be FOTD as he started the decade at age 31, so was already past prime starting 2010 so every win he gets he should be given an extra b it of credit taking into consideration he is fighting past prime, being a former flyweight, with 23 year career, with 70+ fights under belt.
Let's see what nel o does from 2020 to 2030 but the PED gate might have hurt nel o and still fresh in people's minds for him to challenge Pac this time. End of decade came little too soon for nelo
To me 2 best fighters of the decade by far are Pacquiao and Roman Chocolatito Gonzalez, it's very close between them I still haven't decided who between them 2 is my fighter of the decade.
Lol this is pathetic way more than the American boxing establishment painting Andre Ward as some kind of legend.
You were the first one to take a dump on Golovkin's resume but in reality Golovkin was constantly fighting top 10 opponents in his divison, was always looking to fight a highest ranked middleweight and was being ducked by the other middleweights.
Wilder, he ducked Klitschko, Povetkin, Whyte and Joshua (althought I'd favor him over Whyte, Joshua and this version of Povetkin), barely fought a top 10 contender, and he never tried to unify. Tyson and Lennox went to unify the titles, in fact since becoming a champion, it took Tyson 3 fights to become the undisputed champion. Also he wasn't able to get 2 or all of the 3 belts from a single fighter as at that point there was 3 different champions, so he went to fight one after another, with only 1 defense in between.
I agree with Finito and Squared, I like J Rock a lot and he's a very good fighter but maybe chinny, while Hurd is huge and durable. I'll be rooting for him for sure.
I can't wait to see Teofimo's future fights, I enjoy a lot his fighting style, but guys please stop being the boxing hypsters trying to predict who's going to beat who way in advance. Sure it could happen, but this type of thread could also easily turn into another Larry predicting Broner to become the fighter of the decade. Let's wait and see how he's going to do against some top level 135ers first, it could answer a lot of questions. Don't just try to be a boxing hypster who's trying to be the first one who predicted that this or that prospect would beat this or that fighter.
LMFAOOOO
Yeah I'm doing him a favor, that boy is broke, spending all his money buying fake jewelry, I'm just here to help that poor bltch out.
TELL THE TRUTH. Pacquiao needs to hire this translator full time.
That's exactly what I've been thinking, especially being that Manny doesn't trashtalk. It would be a great marketing move. I love it.
His resume isn't stellar but he's the real deal. Yes, he's been hyped but he's not a fabricated talent.
The fight I want to see most is Crawford-Spence.
Exactly. That is why I have him on the 3rd place, after Loma and Usyk. It's true that his resume is poor, but I'm pretty much sure that he's the best welterweight today.
Just to clarify, I'm not saying the current WWs are straight monsters and Pac should avoid them, I'm just saying those guys should be fighting each other to either face Pac or do it because that's what the fans wanna see.
To me, Manny doesn't necessarily have the style (like Floyd and Bernard) to fight well into his 40's. His best years where he ruined guys, has already passed and that style is tailor made for anybody willing and ready to counter him and put him to sleep.
Again, his current style would give those guys problems, but he's just not as fast he was once was and simply can't afford to make certain mistakes and not pay for them.
100% true Terrible
