Pryor-Arguello I
I forgot about that one. That was a great f'n fight. alexis showed so much heart in that fight and Pryor was such a beast. Thats gotta be in my top five all time favorites.
I cannot get enough of fight night 2004 i cant wait til 2005 comes out. definately one of the best games of 2004.
Big tigger killed it for me. I cant stand that guy. I like the old Knockout Kings. For me they are much easier to play and got alot better fighters.
Barrera/Morales I does it for me. I could watch that fight a million times. If I could only watch one fight for the rest of my life that would be it. Without a doubt!! Mancini/Chacon was a classic too
I also heard the Shanes wife can be a bitch but I dont think hewould allow her to ruin his career. I mean he is a pretty tough dude and I doubt he would let his women control him. Especially when it came to fighting. I think it just comes down to styles makes fights and Vernon and Wink just had his number.
But now everybody is saying MM is back. C'mon he look horrible throughout the fight. He cought Jirov with one shot and now all of a sudden he is a dominate force in the heavy division.
His wife is nuts. I remember awhile back people were running Mosley down at Boxingtalk and his wife contacted them and complained she even joined the board and started talking shit to the posters.
Yea I remember when she did that shit on Boxingtalk. I was like damn Shane you gotta get your woman. She was talking serious smack to the posters and then didnt she say some shit to Vernon
Well the thing I dont understand is that Floyds main thing was to always get the fan recognition and notoriaty he felt he deserved. He said he wanted to headline ppv's and everything else. But he goes from all that to fighting Brussels. Maybe this is part of his master plan. I we cant forget that when he was at the lighter weights he was fighting everyone in sight (manfredy, hernandez, castillo, chavez, ect.)
No one has mentioned another factor. Sometimes southpaws are turned orthodox because it is easier to get fights. As you know, most slick southpaws are avoided.
Thats a good point. Winky is a prime example
You would think a fighter would want to be a southpaw given how much trouble they usually give orthodox fighters. But I guess it comes down to what a fighter is most comfortable with
yea...i forgot about Camacho..he was a beast at 130..I wouldnt go as far as saying Benitez was the best PR champ ever. He did beat Duran but he also lost to Hearns and Sugar Ray. In my opinion, He is up there but not the best
i remember going into the Sanchez fight Gomez was like 31-0 with 30 KO's. That is amazing to have 30 KO's out of 31 fights especially only weighing 122 pounds.
Carlos Zarate vs. Alfonso Zamora, at 118.
Zarate was 45-0, with 44 KO's
Zamora was 28-0, 28 KO's
The little guys can bang !
DAMMNNNN You can say that again
Dont forget Tito was the first to KO Vargas and Campas. He beat Yori Boy when he was 56-0 and suppose to be the second coming of JC. But he still needs to get by Hopkins to be GOAT
I love it when Larry and Manny get in fights over how much an effect a fighters "amatuer" career has on his professional career. Or when Larry gets made and says...."well, then, I guess we will have to agree to disagree"
My favourite Merchant interview was with Lennox after he beat Vitali.
Merchant refused to give Lennox credit for the win, and was disrepectful.
Lennox and Larry bith held the microphone and both said some funny stuff.
Anyone remember that?
Yea, that was great. Lennox just kept saying."Look at the state of his face...Look at the state of his face" I laugh everytime I think about that
