not by a heck of a lot
but the thing is...no one puts wilder on p4p lists or tries to call him the best MW ever(in a serious manner) the way people did with golokin
Because GGG is definitely number 1 middelweight, while Wilder 100% number 2 in heavy.
Lomachenko is highly skilled fighter. His only drawback is his amateur manner. Bur there is no really strong fighter in 130-135 who can punish him for that.
Completely agree.
AJ has no US numbers either.
So, why is AJ an A-side in a Vegas fight?
The answer is, he isn't.
The answer is, nobody is.
50/50 fight.
If Wilder and AJ both have no numbers in US, why just not to fight in GB?
Jirov (one of the representative of Kazakhstan school of boxing) was very game until the very last minute against Toney.
It was clear win for Toney and it was at cruiserweight, where Toney's punch was not so effective.
So a young James Toney fighting Tiberi wasn't in his prime?
Or are we focusing on the points when he wasn't fighting at 160 because he did struggle against a good few opponents back then when he was a MW and did rely on a degree of luck to get the decisions.
James Toney was unstable fighter, I think we should focus on Toney in fights with McCallum or Nunn at 160.
Toneys a good fighter but he certainly can be hit
I agree but Toney could minimize missing shots and also had a very good chin.
I just highly doubt a fighter with the amateur pedigree of Golovkin would constantly be missing shots.
GGG missed shots from Ouma and Stevens, I think Toney would not have problems with landing his punches.
When is Andre Ward fighting Kovalev? Anybody have any news on that?
If Andre Ward fights Kovalev it will be awesome, but he can receive good fights at 168 too.
Kovalev or Wlad. They're both only a fight away from unifying so I think at least one of them will end up undisputed.
Stevenson is also only a fight away from unifying. But this fight is not possible now.
Promoter Tom Loeffler requested and was granted an extension by the WBA to avoid a scheduled purse bid in order to continue negotiating a fight between Gennady Golovkin and Danny Jacobs
