People keep on saying he needs to throw more punches, the PROBLEM is that he can’t cause he will gas out. If he could throw more punches he would, trust me. Remember in the lower divisions he got away with it because he had power so when he threw his punches he made an impact and guys were more hesitant to trade with him..... at 140/147 he doesn’t carry the same power so his opponents are not afraid to press him, hence, his lack of activity is more visible. Good points, he can't rely on his power at 147, and he doesn't live the life, didn't build his gas tank in his late twenties, but it's also a mental thing in the ring. I think Broner knew he had to be conservative and rely on power and timing against Santiago, because he didn't have it in the tank to throw a decent amount for 12 rounds, but his power and timing were compromised by the weight and his inactivity, which is why Santiago was pressing without taking punishment. Another problem Broner had was the body work of Santiago, they weren't the most hard or accurate shots, but Santiago landed enough of them to take a toll. Against Pacquiao, Broner was hurt at the end of round 7, Pacquiao punched himself out, and I thought Broner recovered better between rounds because of his age advantage, but because he lacked desire, he sat on the ropes, let Pacquiao step back and recover, didn't take advantage of Pacquiao's age, kept backing up and letting Pacquiao have the momentum.

Who cares? Fighters quit all the time. I'm not sure how we're even speculating on a fight which doesn't even have a date. It doesn't happen often, and a lot of the time, there's a specific reason, Brook and Dubois quit for good reasons, not because it was getting too tough.

No, it wasn't a real fight, open sparring tells you more, it might not have looked too different, but when 2 slow, old fighters who can only throw so many shots, aren't even trying to hurt each other, there's nothing left from a real fight.

Golovkin was dominant, and not against bad fighters, he was more dominant against Macklin, Murray, Rosado than any other fighter, Jacobs and Derevyanchenko are very good, and both Canelo fights were close, I don't see a fair case for Canelo winning the first fight, a lot of people had Golovkin 8-4, the rematch was very close, could have gone either way, that was a 36 year old Golovkin, it is scientifically impossible for a 36 year old middleweight to be at his potential best, so given what we saw from Golovkin in both Canelo fights, do you not think a younger Golovkin would have beaten him? If not, he proved to be on Canelo's level to say the very least, Canelo is ranked by many as the pound for pound best, Golovkin was not overrated.

Some people are more realistic than others, Buddy McGirt probably didn't see it much different to Lee, but Chisora is deluded when it comes to whether he won a fight, Parker isn't, Parker has said he thought he did enough to win, he didn't ask Lee if he believed he had done enough to legitimately win, he asked if he would get the decision, most trainers don't promise a fighter they will get the decision when they know it's close. 116-111 was generous for Parker, but Chisora was fortunate in the first round, especially given Parker won the rest of the round so clearly, it was a legitimate knock down because a punch technically knocked Parker off his feet, but it was about balance, Parker wasn't hurt.

Ring size does matter. Leonard knew it when he fought Hagler so he insisted on a 22' ring. Pretty sure we can trust Leonard's judgment on this one. He knows a thing or two about boxing. You didn't read my post properly, I said it's important. That was so Leonard could use the ring and delay Hagler's ring cutting, I mentioned that as a reason for a bigger ring in my post. Leonard vs Hagler was a close fight, ring size is enough to make a crucial difference in a fight that close, but it's nowhere near enough for Saunders against Canelo if he has a big ring, the ring size is a factor in terms of how the fight plays out, how good a start Canelo can have, but it won't affect the outcome.

You can clearly see he has zero skill. He's been training years and learnt nothing. He's just there to make some money off his name until his eventual loss to some bum they underestimate. People say that about many good fighters, it's ludicrous, you obviously cannot see a fighter has zero skill at this stage, no reason to think he's learnt nothing, his skill hasn't been tested yet, many fighters get hit at a lower level, get sloppy with the feet, and lose accuracy because they are pushing to make a statement, and when they step up, better technique, defence, are brought out of them.

I think Povetkin needs to make more adjustments to win than Whyte, Whyte will be wary of the left uppercut this time, Povetkin needs something else, he can time the right hand over Whyte's jab if he's slow to bring the left glove back to his chin, but I doubt he'll win again, Whyte was boxing better than I'd ever seen him, and the delay favours Whyte, even aside from Povetkin having covid.

A concern for Danny and making the right decisions is his dad, he's not a good trainer at all in my opinion, any good coach will preach upon footwork and doing the fundamentals, Garcia is a solid athlete, has a granite chin, hits very hard, is accurate, is a counter puncher, and punches in between a shots when the opponent throws a combination, which is a great skill, but his footwork, fundamentals, adaptability in terms of having the right game plan for a specific opponent, are all poor, he was as good as Crawford, Mikey, etc, as an amateur, has a style which should have been favourable in terms of adapting to the professionals, lives the life, has discipline, and if he'd had a good trainer, he'd have been more successful.

For anyone who is using this to kick Dubois when he's down, Dubois lasted 6 rounds with the injury, Nakatani didn't have 2 fractures or nerve damage as far as we're aware, and more importantly, not retinal haemorrhaging, Nakatani did well to get the win with that injury as he did, especially after being down twice, but his eye injury wasn't half as bad as Dubois's.

If you know Joe Louis existed, it’s impossible to come to the conclusion that Floyd Mayweather was the best fighter of all time.
