The object of the thread was to illustrate the fact that Floyds timing is impeccable and that a fighter like Ortiz who doesnt have much head movement when comming in, very much like manny doesnt have head movement comming in, will get tagged by Floyds right hand or left hook.
pac has really good head movement when he wants to.
watch pac vs odh
i really tried getting into mma, but its just so damn sloppy. 89% of the time the 'fighters' r rolling on the ground with eachother. the other 11% of the time they look like 8th graders at the school flag pole swinging wildly, with almost zero skill at all; And if theres a ko, more than likely it was a wild lucky shot; and dont even get me started with how winded these 'fighters' look after throwing a few shots and staring at each other, smh. And if their on the ground, usually the stronger 'fighter' has their way with the weaker.
when youtube 'fighters' like kimbo can come out the wood works and compete in a championship fight, u kno somethings wrong with the 'sport'.
i take boxing over any combat sport, hands down, but i would definitly put kickboxing, muy thai, and other specific skilled combat sports over mma.
thats y u c so many weekend warriors in mma, bc it really usually boils down to luck and strength, instead of skill and tactics.
im a boxer, and i used to train at a predominatly mma gym, and i used to always spar (full mma, not just stand-up) with the mma guys and i would easily avoid they're take downs and dominate with my hands, not even going 100%.
and im not even talking only weekend warriors, im talking black belt jujistsus and full time mma fighters, who compete
it is just way to sloppy, and most of these guys never truly develope their skills, either bc they already think they're the shyt, or bc they focus on to much at once; And when i watch these big pro mma fights , i typically c the same, smh.
boxing ftw

Knew he couldn't beat the old man, so he speared him.
http://09.img.v4.skyrock.net/09d/wwe-gifs-catch/pics/2120905417_1.gif
We didn't even see Dawson gassing out like a fish out of his bowl, SAD.
ur a clown dude
too bad u didnt start the gif. until when hopkins was already on dawson's back
u should make a new vid and start it right before hopkin's throws the punch that misses, that leads to this "clinch". bc hopkins JUMPED on chad's back, and gripped onto it. HE WAS NOT EVEN OFF BALANCE, he blantantly JUMPED on chad's back
"He always said 150, and I respect his position, because he is a little fighter even at 150. But it's going to play to his advantage because I'll be almost ten kilos lighter in my body. "
sergio already made his excuses after he lost to pac
martinez: "im weight drained by pac"
COOL! then whats the point of this fight?
this
my exact thought when i 1st read the article
i am no longer interested in this match-up if hes gona b spewing excuses b4 the idea is even mainstream ....
sound like he wants the pay-day more than anything
looks like he first says "o yea"
then as hes throwing the hook, looks like he says "bam"
edit: lol, after watching again, i might have been way off
o well, only 3 ppl can prove me wrong
....and the klitchkos can beat martinez -_-
..but in all seriousness, Martinez has already began to make excuses if he drops to 150 to fight them
smh
and im not sure he can beat either; especially if he keeps his hands as low as he has been in recent fights
but dont get me wrong, i love Sergio Martinez! :boxing:
Part time fighter, one of the most overrated in years. The guy is lucky the division is so soft. Even if he beats Wlad he's still nothing impressive to me.
he wont
but IF he did win, it would impress me
hes already planning his escape route; So it wont b a surprise wen hes MIA, after all his trash talking, wen he gets ktfo :boxing:
edit: forreal tho, @ 30y/o hes already worried about becoming washed up??? what a joke. especially for all the garbage hes spewing. talkn about beating both Wlad and Vitali, when he knos Vitali is fightin in sept. and hes retiring b4 his oct. bday... -_-
Lucky punch??
this
so is that what u flomos would call it? a lucky punch lulz; Even tho Ortiz is training months to KO/beat floyd jr... just disreguard the training if he KOs floyd, bc any1 can land a lucky punch to KO floyd..
o i c
It's only fitting that Pacquiao fight a fighter coming off a brutal loss.
 &this
Yeah but you also need to understand that Vitali only needs to land his jabs in order to beat Adamek. If Adamek doesn't moves around the ring all night he's going to be completely destroyed by Vitali's jab. It's also important to say that Vitali only needs a right hand in order to beat Adamek, especially because Adamek is way smaller than Vitali, he's about 215 pounds.
So if Adamek wants to win he's going to have to put an incredible performance to win by a decision, as it seems almost impossible for him to win by KO or any stoppage. I just don't see it. i agree brah :beerchug:
I agree on Adamek beating Haye 100%.
I really don't see him beating Vitali though, Vitali makes his punches count, Adamek will slow down by 3rd or 4th round, nobody was able to sustain the speed after getting jabbed by Vitali. Vitali hasnt fought any1 who ever moved quite as Adamek does
I think the events of Wlad/Haye will affect the outcome of Vitali/Adamek.
If his little sister is brutalized on July 2nd he will take his anger out on Adamek as a warning to Haye.
 possibilities
Seems like everybody's gonna beat Vitali anymore.
Until they step in the ring and get beaten up by him, that is.
no, only Adamek
in my eyes @least
I could see Adamek frustrating VK too with his movement but that does not always translate to winning rounds. Him mounting a sustained offense leaves him open to VK's offense while he is not a real HW and will not be able to withstand too many VK power shots or the pressure of a very large and good HW.
i agree he isnt a real heavy weight (not until he beats Vitali) and he wont be able to withstand too many clean VK shots, but i believe he'll b able to counter some on Vitali and his in-and-out combos and constantly turning Vitali will b effective, especially as the rounds roll on.
I think Adamek can beat Vitali, but I don't think Haye will beat Wlad.
hhmmm, mayb
but i dont think Haye will be consistant enough. i think hes going to leave himself open after flurries in the later rounds, and i dont think he will handle the pressure and the strength of Wlad.
Adamek and Haye both lose. Be sure to bump this thread though. I should donate a few million points to you just so I can bet you and get them back. That's how sure I am they are going to lose.
ill most definitly bump this reguardless, itll b fun, either way
im with u with Haye
I just don't see it. Someone who could only beat Chris Arreola on a Majority Decision, and cound't KO out of shape journyman Kevin McBride is gonna defeat Vitali Klitschko?
I really don't see it. But you never know....
i hear where ur coming from
i just think that his angles and speed are going to really frusterate Vitali. Vitali is getting old, @ 39 and his birthday next month is going to push him to 40 by fight time; Its going to b hard with his 6'7" frame.
and i feel as tho Adamek levels up a good amount between each fight, so by the time hes signed with Wladimir he'll b set.
and need i say, imo he would beat Haye, as well?
im excited to see my man Gamboa
hope he has been improving on his talents, and doesnt fall fairly stagnent with his progress
im hoping for a little better punch placement/sharper, high punch output every round, and better defense. he has the talent, i just hope hes been training hard and smart
:boxing:
24 / 7 NEEDS to start doing this.
It's actually kind of ****ed up that they don't.
They hype up the fight until they get the viewers money and once they get it and you buy the PPV, the inside / behind the scenes **** is over.
Agreed. 24/7 needs to change something.
x3
good to hear that there will b at least 3 more eps. of fight camp covering the super six
im cised
:boxing:
i wounder what footage wasnt shown.
there should be something like an online 24/7 behind the scenes database where fans can watch all footage recorded, and not only what is edited in the show.
...and ya, we all can agree victor's story is getting played out
anyways, still can wait for next weeks episode :D , and the adamek and gamboa fight :boxing:

OMG I CANT BELIEVE THE NERVE OF THIS CLOWN
ANY1 WHO SUPPORTS THIS DISRESPECTFUL FRAUD IS NEGATIVLY CONTRIBUTING TO THE SPORT!!!
does he really think bc Adamek loss he can now come out of hiding!?
Please RETIRE, like u said u would; but of corse, he was frauding, to sucker the suckers
AGAIN, please, retire NOW David Haye, and never make another appearence in any kind of fashion, INCLUDING INTERVIEWS
BUTTERBEAN>ORTIZ>6TH GRADE GIRL SCHOOL YARD FIGHT>EVERYTHING INBETWEEN> DAVID HAYE
i wish Gamboa was the 1 to expose juanma.
juanma is lucky he didnt step into the ring with Gamboa, bc his defense was horrible in his last fight. all Gamboa needs is a few flush hits to Juanma's head while pinned in a corner (like during the last 30sec in April) and he could be damaged for life :dead1: , and i dont wish that upon any1, especially Juanma.
i hope Juanma can turn around and prove the world and himself that he is a true champion and deserves a spot on the p4p list
:boxing:
kessler looked pretty good in his last fight
so much better than i was expecting
he looks to have some tread left on the tire.
with his experience and chin and punching power he'll give anybody at 168 not named andre ward a handful
would love to see him rematch froch
the last 3 rounds of that fight were unbelievable
Finally,it will do justice and the better fighter will win.I'm talking about the
new WBO smw champion in person of Mikkel Kessler. He will be the next WBO
champ for sure and the smw division will be more balanced than ever.Even if
there were many fights in smw division, super six included ,no one held more
than one belt at a time.Oct 29-the final of super six and Nov 5-Kessler-Stie-
glitz(Europe hour) and Bute vs Johnson -the both televised by Showtime ,
will give us a new dimension of the smw division.
these
im excited. im a fan of kessler, and he seems like a really cool, down to earth dude
war kessler!
:boxing:
lol @ Angulo turning down Lara
....guess u cant really blame the guy; Lara is a beast :boxing:
i like the idea of a redemption match between Angulo and Kirkland. really hope this happends on 11/5, as planned. excited if both camps settle on this matchup :fing02:
If anyone thinks that Hopkins will go anywhere near a ring that Dawson is in,
you're sadly mistaken. The fact is, Hopkins was badly outclasses and was in
for a terrific beating. He found an out and took it. It gives him a perfect excuse to retire: "...the bloody whites stole my title...I'll never fight for
their entertainment agains!"
Let the hateful sap take his millions and his big mouth and disappear.
this x10000000000
hopkins clearly JUMPED on chads back after missing with a punch (he was not off balanced, he blantantly JUMPED on dawson's back in hope for this outcome)
idc how short gamboa is, he, none the less, looks like a beast! and has backed up his physique every time he has ever stepped into the ring.
not only that, but he is a very respectable character and doesnt dwell on trash talking and verbally degrading his opposition
:boxing:
definitly 1 of my fav fighters
