Do you actually watch mma or is that just some "fact" you pulled from the internet?
Because in mma if you are TKOd the "ko blow" is generally the punch that puts you to the floor not the one that stops the fight
Wheras in boxing with the 10 count it's easy to write off knockdowns as flash! In mma the fact that the opponent follows you to the ground and proceeds to throw another 10-20 blows means that a stoppage can happen!
No thank you. Also, these "facts", were just to show you that you need to worry about punches more than spinning kicks.
I like people that appreciate success and have fun with their money. I also like his style and how amazing he is at what he does. People "hate" flashy rich, successful people, yet they can't stop watching them.
Just watch Lethwei (Burmese boxing). It's like thai boxing, but no gloves and I believe if you get knocked out you can rest for 5-10 minutes and then continue, up to 3 times if you want. Not 100% sure but Lethwei still kicks ass.
I havent read the whole thread, so sorry if I repeat anything anyone has already said. I think that legs are almost useless in a street fight, just because of all the adrenaline rushing it just makes it much harder to kick as your legs start to feel heavier. I would only learn to wrestle to get out of a ground situation as fast as possible, as not to get stomped on by any overexcited bystanders. In conclusion to my opinion, I would say that boxing with its superior footwork and easy to learn technique would result in the easiest way to defend yourself. just my two cents
Sorry I do not know how it got double posted.

I agree about Mayweather/Pacquiao, I am a boxing fan not a fanatic about either of those two boxers. There is no need to hate, but if people can't come here to vent their anger.. where else ? :D . I did not say that what they give us is "nothing", just not what the majority of paying people want.
I think its because people have an ideal fight in mind that is not impossible to be made, but never made. We should not have to always be the one supporting every single fight, why don't they try to support their fans with some fights that people want to see ? Not starting sh!t, just my 2 cents.
Final punchstat for Marquez vs Katsidis
Marquez - 327/628 = 52%
katsidis - 194/630 = 31%
For an aging marquez against such a young mobile fighter, I think he did great.
As a HUGE JMM fan, it hurts me to watch that.
Same here. Like it or not, the truth is that it was a beautiful performance and that cannot be taken from him. It is also not the only masterful performance by Mayweather, so its not like it was a special occasion on weight and height advantage.
Its great to have smarts. Heart will show you what a man is made out of when the going gets tough. Boxing is a rough sport, you will get hit. Going through the pain and going through bad rounds while keeping cool is something great. I love Boxing, and it will always be a sport of Heart and Courage.
Here's an outrageous idea: just support the fighters you like, no matter their nationality.
That sounds about right. Nationality will always have atleast alittle to do with some peoples view on a boxer, but it should not blind you.
Salvador Sanchez, Erik Morales, Gatti, Tyson, Ricardo Lopez, Early Mayweather Jr. Just off the top of my head, there are many great fighters with great fights !
I love boxing, because it is an individual sport. You train hard, not to throw or hit a ball (Which I have nothing against). But to dismantle another man standing in front of you. The feeling of relying on yourself and punching people in the face really make it my favorite sport. Also, yes. I take it as a chess match.
