I was sort of prepared for an upset. After watching both of their last fights (which were on the same night), I thought that Green could give Jones some trouble. I was right about that.
Hey num-nuts. if this was ased on only skills like you suggests, Floyd would be #1, Calderon #2 and then the rest!!!
Guzman have ery good skills, but he has done jack shit to be a p4P fighter. he needs to beat Funeka, and 2 more big wins atleast to e consider a top10!!!!!!!!
Decisions are not overturned by Guzman boxing fans.
Nate won and its on his record as a win. He did not dominate but he won.
Also he has fought twice after the whole weight issue with Joan and Joan hasnt even fought.
Great posts.
Guzman has the skills. He just needs some big wins in order to crack the top 10.
wow. since when does a 3 division champ not amount for any thing?
paul willias is on some p4p lists- 1 division champ
calderon is on most p4p lists- 2 division champ
dawson is on most p4p lists- 1 division champ
hasegawa is on most p4p lists- 1 division champ
All the people you named are fighting and beating the best in their division. Guzman hasn't done that.
You're all talking about stuff that isn't related to why he should or shouldn't be considered a top 10 P4P fighter. Who cares about the past and who avoided him or who he avoided. It's about what's going on now.
Guzman hasn't cleared out a division, right now. Just because he has skills doesn't mean he deserves to be a top 10 P4P fighter. Look at Margarito. Margarito didn't have many skills but he was a top 10 P4P fighter based on who he beat and what he did.
He hasn't fought enough good fighters to be considered a top 10 P4P fighter. His win over Humberto Soto is probably his best win and beating Funeka tonight won't help him that much. Funeka's coming off a loss over Campbell.
Adamek will probably win the fight but I think it's a bad career move. He should stick to cruiserweight, instead of heavyweight. His Golota victory was good but Golota isn't a prime heavyweight, anymore. I think he'll be too small to challenge the likes of the Klitschko's and even Haye.
There's two sides to Ali. One is the good side and the other is the bad one.
He said some things that went beyond the line but he also did a lot of good. He was genuinely a good person.
When he first became a Black Muslim, it was because of the racism that white America had showed to black people. It was understandable that he was angry. In fact, he once stated that, after he won his gold medal in the 1960 Olympic Games, he went into a restaurant to order something but they refused to serve him. Keep in mind that it was after he had just gone to represent his country and won a gold medal for them.
Still, though. Ali was a generally a good person and didn't necessarily hate white people. He just wanted to be apart from them. It cooled down later on, though, when he converted to Sunni Islam.
I don't think he was entirely a racist. He had racist motives but was still kind to white people, as many were to him.
