Ali took it too far against Frazier, but I don't condemn him for life for it. Ali made mistakes and some rash decisions, but should be offered forgiveness.
What I think is more of a travesty is that Frazier still harbors bitterness and hate in his soul after decades and decades, whereas Ali let go of it right after the 3rd fight.
thankfully nobody really gives a shit what some 18 year old punk who has watched nothing but espn classic to get his information about the sport thinks. :You_Rock_:You_Rock_
im not talking about the sport, the topic is about ali as a person, way to show an 18 year old is smarter than your dumbass :You_Rock_
Ali got away with it coz he fought the best.
Even though he was downright racist.
On the other hand... fagg-man gayweather is ducking all top guys whilst being a racist punk himself.
That's why he's being laughed upon.
You bringing Floyd up in every conversation is why you get laughed at.
i think him turning to islam was a way of getting out of vietnam he was scared and rightly so he probly would of died,id rather 3 years in prison then a 1 year tour of nam.
the shit he did to joe frazier and his beliefs had to be one of the dumbest shit i have ever witnessed
a great fighter, but i have no respect for himthankfully nobody really gives a shit what some 18 year old punk who has watched nothing but espn classic to get his information about the sport thinks. :You_Rock_:You_Rock_

As a boxer he achieved great things, but as a man he was at best questionable. No excuse for all the Frazier stuff, he also turned his back on Malcolm X as well.
stop being such a big baby, cant believe an immature fool like you who thinks calling someone by his birthname justifies putting a whole race against a man and putting the mans children in danger has the nerve to call someone else naive
i think it has alot to do with ali being a great fighter clouding your judgment, clown
You call me immature yet you come on here talking about your private parts. You're too ignorant to understand the significance of Frazier calling Ali "Clay" so I won't bother educating you on the topic. Hurry up and sign off. You might need to cut the lawn for Mommy.
You are spot on with this and I'm glad somebody else acknowledged the interview in 1969. I believe it was on the Mike Douglas show where Frazier repeatedly insulted Ali and continued to call him "Clay". Not once in the interview did Ali insult Frazier. You are correct that Frazier helped Ali get his licence because he wanted the big money and the recognition from beating Ali. It's unbelievable how naive some people are when it comes to that. The comments Frazier made about Ali's condition and his desire to "push Ali " when Ali lit the Olympic torch clearly show Frazier is no saint himself.

"Thrilla in Manila" was a joke of a documentary. Not that Ali was a saint, the documentary did expose that, but it was terribly biased and you should not make up your opinion on the Ali-Frazier rivarly based on it.
Frazier and Ali were never friends, it was actually Frazier who was agitating and calling out Ali (who at that time was out of the fight game due to the Vietnam war controversy) in a 1969 talk show, insulting him by calling him "Clay" and saying Ali was scared of him. Frazier mainly lended money to Ali, defended him and helped him out so he could get Ali in the ring and beat him up in order to call himself the real champ.
Since then Ali and Frazier have made up and became enemies again and again. In recent interviews Frazier has again said that he has forgiven Ali, hopefully this time for good.

The book Ghosts of Manilla (?) is more even handed, and paints a more balanced picture. I guess the documentary was out to get Ali more than Frazier.
Ali was a normal man who had a fantastic gift, probably not as bright as his eloquence would have some believe.
I think that Ali like all of us is neither as good as some paint him or as bad as others paint him the difference between Ali and the rest of us as a human being was he had to do a lot of his growing up as one of the most famous men in the world.
Just think of the mistakes we all make in our 20's,30's and 40's etc?
maybe if you were'nt so slow and read what it was replying to and read what followed properly
get off my dick
Get off of your parents computer. And learn how to punctuate while you're at it.
Ali was nobody's fool....if he was he would've went in the Army and fought Sam's fake war!!....Ali did clown at times but he did whoop some ass to.....:boxing:
I've never seen Thriller in Manilla, but I saw Ali on Parkinsons and he claimed the entire white American population were 'devils'. I never got the idea it was some kind of self promotion, they just seemed to be his views which he defended passionately. He is one hell of a fighter though, him and Joe Louis are my 2 fav heavyweights stylistically
england is a race tho right? germany is a race?
look, ethnic and racial discrimination is practically the same thing
and my point is still stands, im no racist
Ugh, You're very confused. You cant be racist towards a nationality. "German" means you are a german citizen. You could be Black, White, Asian it dosent matter. If you were born in Germany or if you have acquired citizenship through Germany standards then you are German.
You are born with your race, you cant change that unless your name is Micheal Jackson.
So if you are hating or you have hate for a specific group of anything or anybody because of something other than race, then your not racist. You're prejudiced. Big difference.
Surprising that he was too because Floyd probably did better in school than Ali.Ali once did an IQ test and it was very low apparently
I doubt it, Floyd truely acts as if he may have a learning disablity. ADD or ADHD something like that. Just by the way he reacts to certain situations. Ali on the other hand was a genious, he played stupid because he knew at the time becuase it benefited him more to be a dumb black men than to be a smart one. He scored so low on those IQ test to dodge the draft and war. Ali likely didnt do good in school because he never tried, he was introduced to boxing at a early age and banked on it as a way out of poverty. Had he never been introduced to boxing, IMO he had the wit and intelect to be a doctor or politician.
You need learn how to type because you didn't post that as an "example".

I honestly wouldn't have bothered in highlighting this if you hadn't had the nerve to put this in.You're blatantly trolling now,and the title of this thread is a clear attempt at trolling and only a troll would deny that it was.
you need to stop posting right now
