I currently have 6 tickets (2 $300 seats & 4 $600 seats) listed on Stub Hub / Tickets Now / Ebay / Craiglists. I would offer you a better deal if I could bypass their system and avoid the commission. I could take pictures of my tickets (and photoshop out the barcodes) to prove I have them. As soon as I receive payment, I would ship them. I currently have them in my backpack right now. Message me for more details :)
sorry I don't see it as a simple yes and no answer
you are essentially asking fans of a certain fighter if they will be fans if he doesn't take a certain fight. Add to that you are asking their diehards this question.
You think it is easy to just stop being a fan of something or someone? A simple yes or no answer should suffice right? LOL
for the record I will be disappointed if we don't get to see Mayweather fight Mosley. Will not stop me from being a fan. That appreciation comes from years of watching Mayweather ply his trade.
I agree with the original poster. You guys are turning this into something else entirely. I can assume that you have faith that Floyd will go ahead and sign the contract (based upon your responses), which would then mean that you're going to continue to be fans. But the question doesn't allow for that opinion. You're obviously entitled to your opinion about whether or not the deal will be signed, but again the question is a hypothetical one. The only thing I can assume is that you're afraid to think about the possibility of Floyd NOT signing the contract and what it will do to his reputation...
I see that with all I typed, you still missed that, huh?
I'm not worried about having to stop being a Floyd fan IF he doesn't fight Shane. Why? Because I know the fight will get made. Its that simple. Do you get it?
The question wasn't whether or not you believed the fight would be made. The question was whether or not you'd be a fan IF the fight wasn't made. You're not answering the question.
Let's be real here. I don't care if you're a Mayweather fan or not - Mayweather lost the first fight torn rotator cuff or not. After hearing about this fight for a while, I had to go back and watch it to see it for myself.
It was close, but Castillo should have won by UD. I personally had the fight 115-112 Castillo (I scored a 10-10 third, a 9-9 8th (-1 Castillo) & a 9-9 10th (-1 Mayweather). Mayweather did come back and beat Castillo decisively in the second fight, but that shouldn't take away from the first fight, which Castillo should have won.
This isn't about proving Manny is on PED's. Nobody is claiming they have proof he's guilty, but his actions are EXTREMELY suspicious. He has the ability to clear everything up by committing to a simple blood test and yet he's constantly contradicting himself and Roach. Roach said he'd be fine with a 5 day cutoff and now Manny says he doesn't want blood taken on the day of the fight. Kenny had to remind him that Floyd agreed to a 14 day cutoff and then he just provides another excuse. It's ridiculous!
It's the fact that he has yet to provide ONE legitimate reason why he can't submit to giving less than one half of one percent of his blood 2 WEEKS before the fight. How can you guys constantly defend somebody who claims that he's going to be weakened by that? For somebody that's regarded as an "elite athlete", he's got to be one of the most mentally weak people I've ever seen. I didn't realize giving blood was so traumatic.
You take your head out of Floyd's ass.. You talk in absolute like manny is on Ped with proof. Yet no one ever caught Manny doing anything. He not associated with Balco or a Rap Star who is taking PEDS. Just cause someone agree to some testing but not all testing doesnt mean shit. Yet you flomo are saying guilty which is BS.
so you please stay in school.. Cause you having proved anything son..
There are some on here that say "Manny is guilty. He's definitely on something." I think it's pretty obvious that nobody can really prove he's on anything, but that isn't the point.
When are the Pac defenders going to understand that? It's that he hasn't provided ONE LEGITIMATE reason to not give less than .5% of his blood 2 weeks before the fight.
Take a step back for a second and THINK about that. How is that not reasonable? 2 WEEKS for less than half a percent of blood. Seriously how do you explain his unwillingness to clear his name?
If he's that paranoid about fighting, he's definitely not an elite athlete in my book considering Michael Phelps went out and won GOLD MEDALS on the SAME DAY he was blood tested. Manny is living in a complete fantasy land if he's really that pscyhed about having TINY amounts of blood taken 2 weeks before a fight.
This is more of a question than an answer. Will Floyd be as cautious as he was in the De La Hoya fight? Does Mosley pose a bigger or much bigger threat than De La Hoya did?
Because he doesn't have to and it is not the commission that is requiring it but another fighter. In my opinion, it's not because of the testing but because Mayweather is trying to tell him what he needs to do. Didn't Pacquiao already state that if the NSAC require it then he will comply? Some of you need to understand that not all people think the same way and that especially goes if you are from a different culture.
I never claimed he had to, but wouldn't it just make things a lot easier since it's a reasonable request? 14 days for less than half a percent of his blood.
He can hide all he wants and say he doesn't have to take the tests unless the commission demands it (and he's right but it's extremely suspicious to take this course of action), and it doesn't change the fact that he's giving up a chance at fighting the #2 P4P fighter for a huge payday. It doesn't make any sense. That's why people are wondering...
What does his culture have to do with it?
The guy he beat twice???
Or Did his split from Arum contribute..giving that the best 147's are Top Rank Fighters.
Truth be told its Oscar.
Since the Oscar fight Floyd only fights for CASH.
I'm a Mayweather fan, but do you honestly think Mayweather beat Castillo the first fight? I don't see how any objective boxing fan can give that first fight to Mayweather.
With that being said, I do think he would would have won the fight had he not broken his hand, but I think Castillo won the 1st fight 7-4-1 (3rd round 10-10). You could also argue he won 7-5. I had Mayweather winning the second fight though.
Message only to neutral fans, (not pac or may nuthuggers)
Do you think pac has been taking/or is taking PED's?
I'm a fan of both boxers and have never suspected Manny and honestly don't think he would knowingly take PED's to enhance his performance, but I do NOT trust his corner and wouldn't be surprised if they were giving him something without his knowledge.
Do you think the reason he is refusing the 14 days before the fight cut off because he infact take PED's?
Who knows? I think he's offended and doesn't want to give into Mayweather's demands. Additionally, I think he cares more about his "honor" than money. Pacquaio is already a star in the Phillippines and will go on to be successful in all his endeavors. Mayweather needs Pacquiao more than Pacquiao needs Mayweather.
If so , do you think this explains his crazy KO power.
I personally think his KO power comes from his quick hands and the ability to hit opponents with unpredictable shots from a variety of angles.
Do you think he will KO Clottey?
It's possible, but I wouldn't bet on it. I'd give him a 50% / 50% shot.
As there will be no ped tests, do you think he will use PED's?
If somebody in Pacman's corner had been giving him PED's, I doubt they'd be willing (or stupid enough) to continue giving them to him for the Clottey fight with all the recent scrunity.
No biased views please
Ive always thought Pac is just a great boxer with crazy skills, but recently after their rengotiations, im doubting his honesty.
Im finding it harder to believe Pac camp, too much doesnt add up
Just my opinion. And I also think 14 days is a reasonable cut-off and Pacquiao should just take the tests.
Wwwwawawait! Are you saying that JMM wasn't a tune-up???????????????
In that case you are a Floydstan first class mate.
It was definitely a tune-up fight for Mayweather who was coming off a 21 month layoff, but you can't deny the fact that he BLASTED JMM (who happens to the be same guy who fought Pacquiao evenly for 24 rounds) in one of the most lopsided fights in recent history.
Have you ever consider the SOCIO-CULTURAL side of other people?
Japanese are Principle minded people, if their name was maligned w/o proof, they will leave/resign whatever post they may have in a corporate world or as a public figure. They don't care about money or fame if their dignity has been tarnished by wrong accusations....
Filipinos are conservative, and Pac is one of the example of having high regard in principles of life. For Filipinos, it doesn't matter if you are poor as long as you are not doing illegal. Principled Filipinos and with DELICADEZA cannot be swayed by anything even money. Why? If you have millions and nobody is respecting you, nobody loves you, then your money is USELESS. Your life will be empty, dull.
IDEALIST?! Yeah maybe, but this it does exists and it happens.
I don't get it when some people keep on pointing about MONEY w/o even considering the reasons behind and ask WHY? Albeit, one of the obvious reason is SOCIO-CULTURAL and/or PERSONALITY.
I work with several Filipinos and I agree with your general comments, but the easiest way to clear his name would just be to accept the 14 day window and proceed to win the fight. I understand if he's offended and upset, but running away from the accusation and filing lawsuits doesn't seem like the smartest decision if he wants to defend his character.
Bradley would definitely outwork mayweather to a one sided decision... By the way floyd wouldn,t want a catchweight at 144, sht he barely can make 147...
You've got to be kidding me. Do you really think Mayweather would go into a shell against Bradley? Bradley can't hurt Mayweather, and I could see Mayweather fighting very aggressively against him (ala Sharmba Mitchell). Mayweather wins this by UD or maybe even KO/TKO...
The only way this fight would be exciting is if Mayweather just walked through Magliganni and knocked him out. I don't mind watching Mayweather dancing and boxing vs. another style, but I sure as heck don't want to see two guys dancing around the ring like fairies...
Because his dad says so? What are the basis for this accusation.
And if Pacquiao thinks he's clean, is that not a good reason why he refuses to go further to what May exactly wanted it? (Remember that he agreed to it to a point)
I was just answering your question, but I'll go ahead and give you one possible reason to suspect Pacquaio. He currently holds the record for 7 titles in 7 different different weight classes, and he's done it by rising through the ranks and knocking out big welterweights (De La Hoya & Cotto). That doesn't necessarily mean he's cheating, but it raises eyebrows. Why do you think people started wondering about Barry Bonds? Why do people constantly question Lance Armstrong? When you completely dominate a sport, people are going to wonder. I don't see why that's so hard to understand. I'm not personally accusing Pacquaio and honestly don't think Pacquiao would cheat if he were in full control of what was going into his body during training, but I don't completely trust his corner.
Roach has admitted that Pacquaio doesn't even know what supplements they're giving him. We're living in the a new age where athletes in a variety of sports (track & field, cycling, baseball, football, etc.) have been busted for all sorts of PED's and steroids. I don't think it's that crazy to suspect that he might be taking something to enhance his performance. I also wouldn't be completely shocked if he was 100% clean as well.
LeBron, Kobe, Dwyane Wade already know that once they are in the NBA they will have to subject themselves to such test. And it is being implemented by NBA Commission not by ANY PLAYER OR TEAM.
But in boxing it has never been done and NSAC is the governing body to perform the tests. IF the NSAC test is random blood testing eversince Team Pac will have to abide (they said they will abide), NOT B-COZ a boxer demanded it, Mayweather for that matter.
So that's the very BIG OBVIOUS difference.
Let me ask you a simple question. Let's ignore how the NASC and the NBA and all other entities currently handle drug testing.
Do you think the NASC should incorporate more stringent drug testing to ensure a competitive and fair platform for boxers?
Really? Is pacquiao ever tested positive of any illegal drugs in his system?
I think Mayweather is just scared of getting kick in the ass by an asian midget. He needs to man up and fight Pacquiao using the existing rules and regulations mandated by the boxing commission.
No, he hasn't. But I can just as easily ask you a question in return. Can you guarantee me that's he clean? Maybe he is, maybe he isn't but we're definitely not going to find out if he's unwilling to take the tests to prove his innocence.
As for your second point, you're entitled to your own opinion but just because there are existing rules doesn't mean that they're the best rules. Boxing is way BEHIND the curve when it comes to testing for PED's...
He should do it coz he demanded it, but with malicious intent on the side.
I don't think anybody is claiming that Mayweather is a saint or would deny that he's trying to get under Manny's skin. He's no saint and is trying to get under his skin, but he also wants to ensure that the biggest fight of his career is on a level playing field....
you know i can kinda ride with this, but then i think of how when i first saw pacquaio, he was a one-dimensional slugger more or less with just the straight left hand and no defense...then i saw how he's developed into more of a boxer-puncher who darts in and out, uses both hands, and drastically improved his defense, and i realize that roids can't help you out there....honestly reminds me of a little hagler...floyd is just scared of being ko'd thats all
I have nothing but respect for Manny. I think he's an excellent fighter, but I wish (for the sake of boxing and making the fight happen) that he'd agree to a 14 day window if he really has nothing to hide. Again, I'm not calling him out or anything, but I'm a little suspicious as well. If he's already admitted that he doesn't feel right for 3-4 days after having blood taken, that still gives him 10 days to recuperate. I don't see the problem, but I'm sure it's a pride thing. I wouldn't want anybody dictating to me either...
Since Pacquiao started professional boxing he passed all tests with flying colors. He was never found guilty of using PED, so I would say he is clean as a whistle.
The only problem that he has was he was kicking ass and beaten all opponents in a brutal fashion.
To tell you the truth I have more confidence with the boxing commission than the accuser who has zero credibility.
Peace
He has passed all his urine tests, but you can't just ignore the fact that boxing is still living in the past and hasn't incorporated more stringent and random blood testing in addition to urine analysis.
This issue isn't about picking a side to believe. This issue revolves around the sport of boxing and the Nevada Athletic State Commission's need to incorporate more stringent drug testing to ensure ALL BOXERS are clean to ensure the safety and fairness of all fights going forward.
You can claim Mayweather has no "credibility" but he's willing to take random blood tests up until a few days before the fight. What more do you want to to prove he has "credibility"?
You might not like his antics (he's a good businessman and a big talker) or feel like he's trying to get under Manny's skin (it worked), but he's shown more "credibility" than Pacquiao has throughout this whole issue.
Do you have a SOLID EVIDENCE/PROOF?
I can answer that for him :) Of course not. It's all just speculation at this point. I think people are just frustrated that Pacquaio could have cleared up any suspicion by taking the tests.
His record of 7 titles will be erased sooner than you think. There's about 5-6 Championship titles in each division. IBF, WBO, WBA, WBA, Ring and lineal. It's getting ridiculous with all these belts in so many weightclasses. It will be easy to accomplish this is the near future.
I personally think that Pac's greater accomplishment...the one he will be remembered at will be his lineal titles (4).
Oscar has 6, Floyd has six.....even Camacho has 7 (including minor ones) SO are they taking Roids too?
As I said before, we'll never know unless they they change the drug testing protocol for boxing and we get to see if he passes random blood testing, but my point is that it's not crazy to suspect the greats. Manny just happens to be the P4P champion right now and he's in the spotlight so it's not that crazy to suspect him.
At this point, Oscar doesn't really matter since he doesn't fight anymore and Floyd is willing to do random blood testing so I have a hard time believing he's not clean but anything is possible. The fact that Manny isn't willing to submit to a very reasonable 14 day proposal doesn't prove he's guilty, but it sure does make you wonder...
So, let's wait until the NASC incorporate the new testing procedures requested by Team Mayweather. Pacquiao even made a statement the he'll abide by the ruling of NASC but until then it's just a ploy by the Mayweather team to get into the mind games with Team Pacquiao.
I was not pointing my finger to Jr but to the main accuser Mayweather Sr.
If Mayweather is actually willing to take the tests and follows through, you can't call it a ploy anymore. From all reports, Floyd was willing to subject himself to more stringent testing than Pacquiao was.
It would great if NASC incorporated more stringent drug testing. Then we'd have to see if Pacquaio and Mayweather both back up their talking and get into the ring together....
