Nuthuggers are going mad because Clenelo after the fight (in which he brought a guy 2 weight classes up) in his highly pitched feminine voice shouted:
This Canelo no one beats (as long as they are midgets or gatekeepers).
I'm having trouble understanding what you're trying say. Are you trying to say that Canelo nuthuggers are angry because of the sound of his voice??? Or because he claims he can't be beaten?
he has 0 big fights left. he has lots of fights left although hes just going to pretend they are big. if you can trick the people then its just like having a real big fight
I'll respectfully disagree. I do believe anyone of either Bivol, Benavidez or Bud are big fights and I think he'll fight one of them within a year's time. As for any other names, I wouldn't call those big fights, but they are big events. The guy has a huge following still which is why he'll still be able to fill 20,000 seat arenas and generate a huge purse without Turki's oil money.
There was quite the difference in energy between this card and Turki's card in LA and in my opinion, Turki's event was a better card with way better matches, yet still lacked the energy that Ginger's fight against Berlanga produced. Crowd speaking that is...
Ginger's fans were loud and supportive in contrast to the fans that were at Turki's event. Shoot, I heard boos while Bud was fighting, although unwarranted in my opinion.
There's a reason why those dates have become big boxing days, and it's not just because it's Canelo. He's not "given" those dates, as much as he knows the event will naturally be bigger because it's precisely that weekend. His fan base will support him no matter what, but having a fight on either of those holidays will undoubtedly help.
I agree with you, but there have been other, better(in my opinion) Mexican Boxers such as Marquez, Morales, MAB, etc.. who didn't sell like Ginger does nor had those dates on lock. Did you hear how loud those fans were for Canelo??? Those fans were there to celebrate Canelo, they weren't in Vegas Celebrating Mexico's Independence and just happened to pay good money to watch a Mexican fight...
Those fans of his are hardcore fans and will fill up Arenas just to be a part of his event. Does he warrant such loyalty???? I don't know that he does or doesn't but his legion of fans obviously do. Anyone trying to discredit his drawing power is fooling themselves.....
I thought Canelo looked like a fat old man in the Berlanga fight.
He definitely doesn't look neither fat nor old, but he did appear to be breathing heavily early in the fight. By the 4th round I believe. He's also telegraphing that over hand right quite a bit and missed by a mile on a few occasions. I honestly think he's got 1, maybe 2 big fights left in him.
Fight was on mex independence weekend lol.
Well sure, but those folks and that energy was still for Ginger. Are you suggesting that if Turki and Ginger's event were switched, Bud or the other's on that card would have generated the same energy?? Turki's event was just down the street and no way did Noche Mexico produce the same energy. I streamed both events and their was quite the difference in reception and fan cheering from both events.
But if you honestly think that Ginger wouldn't have sold the event out nor produced the same level of excitement from his fans had it been held on a different day, well you're entitled to your opinion.
There's a reason the guy is given those Mexican dates and it isn't just because he's Mexican. The guy has a tremendous fan base that no other Mexican since Chavez has had. Neither Marquez nor MAB who I am a fan of never had the same amount of support...
The guy in the orange knocked him down after he had already been punched twice, one by Haney and the guy in the white
It also appears that he fell due to tripping on the yellow step or object.
Lmaooo did you notice he was introduced as Kendrick Lamar hahaha Bud lost

Yikes..............
So where are the news reports or witnesses of a lone man shouting racial slurs at a group of blacks? You had to reach for some alleged story of Ryan Garcia beating a black Youtuber which was only reported by some obscure fourth rate website. No mainstream media reporting on this. Why hasn’t Ryan been arrested? This allegedly happened July 7th. You fall for some fake news story and now you’re making up stories about racial slurs been shouted at Haney. No one here is buying it on here besides you and some scrawny little troll. Lol.
If one actually does minimal research on that story, it is obviously fake. A tiktoker with no media content to prove his allegations?? No physical marks or injuries to prove? No police report?
Now, by no means do I find Ryan's racial tirade acceptable, but I'm not gonna spread false testimony about someone because I might dislike or feel resentment towards them.
That doesn't excuse anyone from harassing complete strangers in public, use racial slurs and think that they can get away with it.
Absolutely not! But as I stated, friends of mine who live in Costa Mesa and were there, said that the guy was heckling Haney about his behavior after he fought Ryan. Same friends, said it had nothing to do with racial remarks.
THE LATIN GUY IS AN IDIOT! Haney is a celebrity, maybe not a major celebrity but celebrities get heckled all the time, it goes with the territory. Nowadays, because everyone has a camera, people are quick to push buttons to get a rise and maybe be in a position to sue someone for some $$$$$. We see it all over social media. Haney has acquired some sort of wealth, has a lot to lose and should know better or at least hire a team that knows better to advise him or be around him when he's gonna be around thousands of people. I say thousands of people because the OC Fair attracts thousands of people a day.
Now having said that, if you feel it is ok for those idiot cowards to have jumped that other fool only after Haney took a swing first, I'll venture to say that you are either one of them idiot cowards or are of the same mind set as those idiot cowards. I hope you are neither though....
In my opinion, Haney is a talented fighter whom I enjoy watching when he's battling it out in a ring and I'll stick up for him when he gets unwarranted slack about his abilities, but his behavior and that of his entourage that was caught on film is inexcusable and cannot and should not be defended.
Looks like a dude was out of pocket. Haney got one in, knocked dude down, then his security handled him. Minor.
Haney should’ve just walked away. SMDH. Bad look for him.
Guy gets props for being so drunk that he was gonna try and handle the whole crew.
Indeed.... This guy's a pro with lots to lose. He'd be wise to surround himself with friends who will keep him out of trouble not get him into trouble.
Someone at UFC messed up badly

Kind of disrespectful to one Boxing's current P4P champs. Could that have been purposely done to disrespect Boxing and Bud's popularity or lack thereof???
gimme fights? His last 4 opponents have been former world champions, the last three had 2 losses between them. He has been taking tough opponents for ages. His next fight can be a show case fight to get ready for undisputed. I heard someone on youtube with contacts say its Jesse Hart.
I respectfully disagree, taking on tough opponents is how you become world champion. I'd rather see him take an easier fight right after he becomes champion before defending on against other tough opponents.
The guy deserve to get jumped. Anyone who doesn't respect other people's private space outside and tries to get in their face, trying to start trouble, deserves to be jumped, and who are "your friends"? I can also say my friends were there and come up with unfounded crap.
The OC Fair is a yearly event that thousands of people look forward to, especially locals. Many of my friends and associates from Costa Mesa, Huntington Beach, Fountain Valley and Garden Grove attend for the music and to support the local bands that perform on The Hangar Stage.
You thinking that jumping a person over meaningless words is somehow acceptable or normal, is indicative of the type person you are, how you were raised and the type of education you received.
I'll agree to disagree, you keep being you bro.....
Juneteenth, Cinco de Mayo, and Mex independence weekend have ALWAYS been reserved for BOXING fans. Take this weekend for instance, Canelo and Berlenga pulled 750k buys, It would have easily been 1 Million Plus if Dana White didn't put his greasy little hands in the pot.
Are you sure about that PPV number??? That seems rather high, I didn't think the fight would do more than 500,000 buys...
These guys are clever in deceiving people for clickbait, at least they deceive me all too often. It is going to get worse once they master using artificial intelligence to help them ply their trade. Thanks for clearing this up.
One thing you might find a bit peculiar about the Canelo-Munguia bout is the last minute of the fight. At around 58 seconds left for the fight to end, Canelo hurts Munguia and appears to hold him up instead of going for the kill and says a few words in Munguia's ear. Check that last minute out when you have time, I'd be curious to hear what you might think.
First you all say he and his crew are pillow-fisted and joked about not hurting that guy, and now the so-called victim who started it is "battered". Make up your minds.
Go ahead and find anywhere where I posted that he and his crew are pillow fisted... You won't because I didn't! I'm a fan of Haney's abilities inside the ring. I now believe that he's a fool outside of the ring and am certain that those idiots that jumped that guy are manure. A swine that rolls in mud is not aware of how f- ilthy it is.
When someone uses a racial slur they are pathetic. I guarantee you that if Haney's boys saw a juicy fight, their first instinct would not be to protect Haney, but to film it... So why can't one apply the same logic to a supposed slur? Film it, put it on social media! I mean it kind of scares me that people (not you larry) think if this Messican did use a slur, he should be assaulted. [/QUOTE
Absolutely! Not only is the usage of racial slurs pathetic, but ignorant and I would even say it stems from self loathe...
I can understand beating someone's a$$ because you're defending yourself, but not over words or hurt feelings. The ability to reason is what separates us from most animals. I like Haney's ring skills so it was a bummer watching him behave in such manner.
Thanks for responding. I will keep looking. This is another one of these "he said" quotes. I am looking for the video where Canelo himself said it.
If you read that article carefully, you'll notice that the only words quoted are "enjoyed the fight", not the line that reads didn't want to embarrass him. That is an indicator that Ginger didn't say "he didn't want to embarrass his rival".
I too searched for interviews or articles where Ginger admitted to such, but have yet to find anything.
I felt like Canelo carried Munguia a bit, less so with EB- but I think Berlanga's Cruiserweight frame carried him through 12- in both cases you can see Canelo's conditioning keeping him in a lower gear in the later rounds which factored in.
He obvs dominated both of these guys and didn't overextend himself late to try to press a stoppage.
Some folks might call Munguia and Berlanga bums, but these guys are younger, bigger strong guys with fresher legs that didn't roll over for Ginger. by the looks of Canelo's marked up face, it's apparent that Berlanga has pop in his punches.
On paper it appeared as though Canelo could have easily knocked Berlanga out, but once they were in the ring together, one could see how much bigger Berlanga was and even though Berlanga tasted the canvass, he quickly got up and didn't appear to be hurt.
Ginger's age is becoming more apparent, he was breathing heavy early in the fight and his feet are slowing down. His overhand right is becoming more telegraphic, I think Ginger will have a better chance of beating Benavidez if he fights him by May of next year. He might not be a able to handle his quick combos if waits any longer than May.
Just my opinion from Ginger's last 2 fights against bigger younger men, which is what Benavidez is.
Save your explanation and concerns for me and use it for the keyboard warrior clown, dempsey that made the racial comment. He is the one that needs to watch his mouth in public. I respect all races despite my vile comments on other stuff in this forum, apparently he don't...
I was respectfully staying out of your back and fourth with dempsey, but you called me a clown for simply stating what I had heard from friends of mine who were at the OC fair and witnessed the situation. I visited the fair to check out a band that performed on the Hangar stage on a different day. I live about 40 miles from the event so it's a bit of a hassle to go there more than once, but for my local friends and associates that live in the city and neighboring cities, they love attending the almost month long fair. Some of them attend the fair 2 to 3 times a week, so it's not too unlikely that they would have witnessed the shenanigans Haney and his buffoons caused.
The disagreement that you and I had was that I believe it was foolish and ignorant for Haney and his buffoons to have assaulted a lone heckler over what appears to be words. You for some strange reason think it is ok for 4 men to jump an unarmed heckler over words. Dogs react without reasoning nor thinking, we as human beings have brains that allow us to reason and think before trying to hurt someone over mere words.
When you become old enough to have kids, I would hope that you would teach them morals, values and self control to become productive members of society and not angry hateful men and women that are quick to cause harm on a fellow man. I'd be telling dempsey the same thing had he posted that he felt it was ok to jump an unarmed man over mere words, but he didn't. You were the only one who defended that cowardly action....
Canleo just doesn't have the power at the weight. Look at the punch stats. Canelo lands a huge amount of power punches in his fights, yet doesn't do much damage. He looked small next to Berlanga in his last fight. big reach disadvantage too
It doesn't just mean he stops less people - it also means his opponents can attack him more and take more risks to land punches on him
I agree with the bolded..
LOL, this is hilarious, get off your moral high horse. I find fake people like you lecturing me about morals, acting like the voice of reason in this forum of all places full of trolls and haters that post far worse stuff around this forum, very humorous. I have looked into your post history. You are selective and pretentious. Cut that soft s*it out.
OK dude, you find it acceptable for a group of men to jump an unarmed man and would do the same, shame you don't know any better... I happen to think there are plenty of educated and decent people posting on this forum, but keep being angry. One day you might realize that the world isn't out to get you.....
For as much as they hyped it, especially w/them playing up the MX/PR Rivalry, I think they expected more. Whole card was weak (unless you like showcase fights) so I guess it did better than expected.
Now imagine had Ginger had the balls to fight Benavidez........thos would've EASILY done 1 mill with the same undercard!
I'm also starting to get the whiff of Mayweather from Ginger, w/how Floyd was toward the end of his career (claiming he was going to ko his opp, yet not coming close).
Yes, if Ginger or his promoters want his PPV numbers to hit the 1 million mark, he'll have to fight Benavidez.
But 160 is too much, he said. 168 is my limit, he said. 175 after winning a title is too much, he said. I want to rematch Bivol at 175 he said last Saturday
I don't think he'll win....
Since theres a lot of fanboys in here who care for somebody else's money....
Readung reports the fight did 17 mill gate and 650k ppv buys.....
Not bad, but do you think Amazon/DAZN expected more?
Also reading ufc did 850k +
I personally thought he would max at around 500k, if that. For a name not recognized like Berlanga and a bad card altogether, those are great numbers. Kinda sucks for fans wanting to see him take on Benavidez, because he'll want to keep fighting young inexperienced fighters with not so big names because he'll know he's gonna make good money regardless.
I tend to agree i still think it happens because there is to much money for it not to happen, Nelo is just milking it at this point but then i thought the same with Wilder vs Joshua ****** potential of money to be made yet Greed ensured it never happened.
Im hoping we get either Crawford or Benavidez for 2025 both would be wild i prefer Nelo to just swallow his pride and know 168 is his limit for a world title fight, Bivol rematch will be boring and similiar to the first fight unless Nelo was significantly hampered which he wasnt.
I too believe he should stick to 168. I don't see Canelo hurting or beating Bivol, too small and too old now in my opinion. Fighting Bud and Benavidez would definitely be wild and generate lots of attention to the sport of Boxing in my opinion.
I think those a great numbers considering the card. With the exception of Danny Garcia, nobody knew much of the rest of the opponents. Lara is hit and miss with fight fans. He's been around, but not all his fights in the past were exactly fight friendly. For me, this was suppose to be an interesting/exciting fight on the card and it nearly put me to sleep.
They tried hard to hype up the PR-MX rivalry between the unknown Berlanga, but the problem there, Berlanga did not go on some crazy win streak against Mexicans to build up his own rivalry vs Mexicans brand. Nothing of the likes you saw with Tito, Cotto or for example Pacquiao. He literally came into the fight with nothing really. He's also a NYRican, so he doesn't exactly tap into the native Ricans who want to tune in from the island because they see themselves in him.
The main event was OKAY for a gimmicky opponent in Berlanga for Canelo to cash in another mega paycheck, but that's all Canelo wanted at the end of the day.
I'm surprised it did so well...... While some folks thought it would bomb and do under 250k I surely thought it would do much worse than what is being reported. If the event had flopped, Ginger would have been forced to pick a big name as his next rival.
The amount of money this fight generated will only convince Ginger that his notion of him being the shot caller is accurate. Sucks for the fans that want to see him fight Benavidez or even Bud. I find it hard to believe that Turki will offer Ginger over 100 million to fight Bud or over 150 million to fight Benavidez.
