Undefeated 2 division champion. Plant is a top SM. Only two losses between 3 of them. Absolutely loved watching GGG in the ring but he definitely could've done so much more instead of waiting on Canelo. That's one example at least. Khan with Mayweather and Brook with Khan are the two I always think of.

I respectfully disagree, taking on tough opponents is how you become world champion. I'd rather see him take an easier fight right after he becomes champion before defending on against other tough opponents.

I don't see Morrell happening next, so I can live with Hot Rod or Hart, 175 is a wasteland

Both Hot Rod and Gvodzyk did better than expected. Hot Rod might have won. Only thing is if David wins he may get the Bivol/Bieterbiev winner. I would definitely be watch this card. Let Canelo go fight the Eubanks and Minillis of the world with no one watching. I’d prefer Benavidez vs Morrell and Gvodzyk vs Kalajdzic but I think you could be right. Only thing that makes me think Hot Rod won’t be the opponent is the fact it’s supposedly gonna be a PPV headliner, but not like there’s that much else out there tbf. Of the ranked contenders the most accomplished without being champ is Joshua Buatsi and Morrell who was a Interim champ at 168 just joined the fray. Lyndon Arthur, Anthony Yarde and Callum Smith sound like good options, Joe Smith Jr specially if he could cut down to 175, but like Zurdo, not sure if he can make it anymore. Hot Rod didn't do badly against Morrell so he should also be a candidate, but rather have the winners (both Davids) fight each other. The only answer is Morrell or Buatsi.
