they both didnt have intent?!?!? KT got warned and the VERY NEXT SECOND Hatton swung right at the balls, c'mon man, I know Hatton's your countryman and everything, but dont let that cloud your judgement and rationality.
Well said. That was one of the worst refereeing jobs I've seen in a while.
its obvious to me that most folk havent seen much of hatton outside the Kostya fight, thats fine but he adopted a specific tactic to negate the danger of zoo's right hand.
the referee has never been an issue before with hatton and i dont suppose it will be in the future. (well other than to moan Ricky Vann - hatton always seems to ref his fights) but in honesty hatton is not a particularly dirty fighter.
Never implied he was, all I'm saying is the best way to beat Judah is by fighting him like Castillo did Corrales or how Hatton fought Tszyu. Some refs are quick to break fighters apart when there is a lot of holding going on when infighting. I have seen several of Hatton's fights btw.
Tyson will continue to fight professionally until he's 6 feet under, he couldn't flip burgers if his life depended on it, this is all he knows how to do....
He will never be debt-free, his lavish spending habits won't allow it, remember that this guy went to school until about the age of 9 and has a degree from SHK, the School of Hard Knocks....
His health has been suffering for a while now, sanity does not provoke biting, screaming, crying, and/or rage....
all that being said, I believe Mike will destroy McBride, fight for a belt next year, lose big, take 9 months off, then do it all over again
GO MIKE!
Well said, all the partying he does can't help a fighter nearing forty either.
I think Hatton has the tools to beat Judah, but it would all depend on what the referee in this fight allows. If the ref is quick to break them up and take Hatton's inside work away it would be very difficult for him to win imo.
Kostya's reign will come to an end at the hands of Hatton. I know it. Feel it. His time is up. 35 years of age. A great champion, yes. But the sun will set on him as a new king of the division claims his crown.
The king is dead. Long live the King.
Put down the crack pipe and slowly back away.
1. K. Tszyu
2. Floyd Mayweather jr.
3. M. Cotto
4. A. Gatti
5. R. Hatton
6. V. Harris
7. S. Mitchell
8. Lovemore N`Dou
9. (toss-up) Either L. Dorin or A. Grigorian
10. (toss-up)Either Oktay Urkal or James Leija
I gotta go with how I think the division would pan out if they were to have a tourney at this point in all of the fighters careers so tat's what I'm going on. Cotto is the future, Kostya's the now, Hatton and Harris are the enigmas, and Floyd is the one with the most talent but imo to small and fragile for this weight, while Gatti is the Battle tested Warrior with a heart as big as his medical records, whatever happens I just hope Gatti walks away before it's too late for his brain if it isn't already.
Good ranking, considering you usually don't know your asshole from your elbow.
You are mixing the two brothers. Vitaliy is the one who is fighting Rahman, I think the article is talking about the little brother - Wladimir. If that's the case, it would be great, I would love to see Wladimir vs. Byrd II if Wladimir gets his head on straight.
Yeah, you're right. I saw Wlad spelled with the V and had a brain fart.
If it isn't illegal than what does it matter? As for HBO's "unofficial scale", I wish more fighters would decline that shit, it does nothing but cause controversy.
i gave the trinidad-DLH fight to DLH 7-5 at worst, the quartey fight i've only seen 6 and 12 but i guess round 12 really saved DLH, because of the knock-down. what was you scorecard on the IKe-dlh fight?
I didn't actually score the fight and it has been years since I've seen it. If I remember right though I thought Ike was up by a couple of rounds, and when the fight was over I figured worst case scenario would be a draw, even with the 12th I didn't think DLH won.
Who you guys thought won the fight between DLH and Quartey
I thought Ike won the fight, but it wasn't a horrible decision either. I have never really cared for DLH much, but that was one hell of a final round in that fight. Makes me wonder what happened to him against Trinidad, where the fire went at the end.
So, they all do it. I know Floyd is a littile cocky but this is the fight business and alot of them are. Look at Ali. I think you should think that your the best. That goes for life in general. Everyone is different and I dont want everyone to be humble all the time. This world would be boring if we didnt have different characters to talk about
I understand your point, I just disagree. Boxing is a business, if all these guys truly felt the way they say they do about their opponents their wouldn't be any fights. Two people that genuinely hate each other wouldn't make concessions to each other allowing a contracted fight. My point is this isn't the WWF, boxing fans are attracted to the violence and the sweet science itself, the other bs isn't neccessary.
The guy is like a big Zab Judah, we keep expecting him to dominate because with his skills he should. But he just can't seem to get his shit together for some reason.
I don't like him because he is a cocky arrogant little cunt. He is also a hypocrite to boot. That is why I like Tszyu, the man is all business, he doesn't need to tell people how great he is in the third person ala Judah, Lewis, Mayweather, Jones and many more. Sure they are all great fighters, but they suck as people. I guess I'm the type of guy that doesn't care for endzone dances while I watch football or shit talking fighters while I watch boxing.
