Boxing is one of the toughest sports out there, yet it's a sport where people easily dismiss fighters. Like in any sport, there are prospects out there. Some succeed, some don't...but to the point where people call certain fighters bums or a joke? A bit harsh. Thanks to the internet, some of us boxing fans have been able to keep up easier with potential starts or just any up and coming fighter. It's way easier to market an exciting style than the effective style in the sport, so I don't really call people "hype" jobs. The reason they're there is because people love that style...if they happen to lose...all of a sudden he's a bum? a joke? That blame should be on us. Look at Bradley, he goes to way in his recent, and you still have people talking bad about him. Look at Khan, he's basically fought a majority of the top guys at 140 but some fans see him as a joke. Hey, at least he took on all of these fights! Sure he might be a bit too egotistical outside the ring, but his in ring guts shouldn't be in question.
