once ward moves up to 175 hes prob never coming back down...since all of his business would be finished there if ggg were to fight ward now...or in oct.....hed still prob have a year to come back down to 160 for canelo.....if cotto wins hes not fighting ggg...canelo might...but canelo prob wouldnt come right back with ggg after cotto....so ur looking at oct/nov of next year for ggg/canelo match....that gives ggg almos a year to get back to 160...more than enough time

You can't just go around jumping weight divisions like this and pretend that what will be a likely be a loss won't affect your career prospects at 160 or have any adversary effects... He's fighting at 160 anyway in Oct against Lemieux so this whole thing is pointless, what's the reason for even talking about it? "what will likely be a loss" explains why its not logical to you....because its logical ...ggg just doesnt want a fight hes not favored in....even though hes saying hell take on 168....dont act like fighters havent jumped up and back down in their next fight....ggg would have potentially a year to recover from a 168 fight to fight canelo and get a tuneup in between

Canelo cotto winner has to fight GGG next or else they give up the belt. The language will be very strong and clear in the step aside agreement. It would not happen in October or November. It would happen in the first half of the year. However, I agree that cotto wants nothing to do with GGG so you expect canelo, should he win, to come right back with ggg? dont u think its likely he asks for permission for a light defense and then fights ggg later?

That's the problem. It's turned into Haymon/Floyd groupies vs Everybody else. I myself never participated in any of these Haymon/Floyd/Ellerbe/SHO/Schaefer/PBC/Anti-Arum/Pac/Anti HBO VS Everyone else threads. please dont act like this is just people who back floyd and his camp.....theres always the other side still lurking....the manny fans who need a new invincible hero to talk about it since their boy got sparked by jmm and beaten by floyd many have pointed out ....ggg talked about anyone from 154-168...and his testi's shriveled when ward said he wanted it now

Yes. I think he will have to and I think k2 can sue the WBC if they allow him to do anything different. Of course, this is boxing and it's very corrupt so anything can happen..maybe a fake injury to delay or another 7 figure step aside agreement but I believe golovkin's team will be very firm on sticking to the agreement. i think k2 would be fine with canelo taking a light tuneup in between the cotto and ggg fights.....as long as they have a deal in place

You are delusional. So all those years when GB vs TR fights weren't happening then the moment Haymon is removed from the picture now GB vs TR fights are happening. HBO this year alone you have seen tons of fights featuring the best fighters of rival promoters going head to head. Again Haymon not in the picture isn't stopping GB, Main Events, Roc Nation, Hearn, K2 ect from working together. Meanwhile PBC is it's own bubble where they don't even mention the other world champs in their broadcasts. Just this weekend they told us the Jacobs vs Mora was for the Middleweight championship not mentioning that nobody considers Jacobs the champ at 160. HBO, Showtime, ESPN (prior to PBC), ect every network that airs fights regardless if they have the other champions under contract all make sure to give their viewers a complete picture of the division and speak on the other champions before or during the fight especially when they have a fight that doesn't feature the recognized champ at that weight. Yet PBC does not and it's clear that this is being told to the announcers don't talk about the "other" guys. Haymon in the picture fights get stonewalled. Remove Haymon fights get made. Haymon has his own league that refuses to acknowledge the better fighters and world champs that he does not have. And the worst part is despite his refusal to work with other promoters he still don't put his best fighters against each other which is why you get Thurman vs Collazo. To turn this around and say it's HBO or other promoters that are black balling Haymon is idiotic. Haymon is trying to create his own boxing league and will try and create his own PBC belts he has alienated himself not the other way around. soooo ya....about that stevenson/kovalev purse bid

most will never see it this way but the evidence is showing more and more whether it be purse bids or whatever that pbc is not the problem. there is no doubt about it that hbo top rank, gbp, and main events are black balling pbc as far as fights. PBC has shown its willing to work with any promoter it has shown it will go into a purse bid at the end of the day its pretty clear that gbp and top rank are the problem like they have been for the last 20 years. thats the reality they may of came out pretending to end the cold war between gbp and tr but as we have seen it was mostly bs. Its only a matter of time before people start to realize hbo gbp and top rank are the real problem when it comes to holding up these fights. HBO exclusive deals with fighters has been holding up fights for a long time. I dont know im trying not to be bias but to me its clear as day gbo hbo and TR will not work with pbc even in a purse bid and yet pbc gets blamed. Its all a power play top rank and gbp and even hbo are so worried about pbc taking over that they are on a complete pr campaign to get fans on their side and against pbc its clear as day they are making a real effort to make a smear campaign even when pbc goes into a purse bid and the other promoters and networks pull out. Now pbc is not innocent but we need to quit giving gbp and top rank a pass.
