Just a couple of weeks ago Khan mentioned that the only way he would fight Brook is if he had a title. Brook should tell Khan to prove himself and fight Alexander. Win that then we'll talk about facing him. Which I think he would lose against Alexander. Brook should pass over him and challenge someone else...like Bradley, Thurman, Pacquiao.
I hope Diablo gets his shot and win back his title. If that happens you better believe Roy Jones Jr. will be ringside. But regardless of whoever wins RJ should be next on deck.
If the rematch happens, Taylor will end his career. Taylor usually wins more convincingly in rematches..ie see Taylor vs Hopkins. This is another opportunity for Taylor to show that he is Champ and is planning on being champ for a while longer. Taylor must live up to his name " Bad Intentions" and continue to work hard and take every fight serious, there's no room for slacking when your at the top of the food chain. Not many fighters get another shot to be champion and with that comes huge paydays. Taylor must win the rematch "if" it happens and not leave it in the hands of the judges. Get back in the gym Taylor, put in work.." King Soloman" wants it again...and you must hit him with "Bad Intentions" with every punch. I got Taylor winning the rematch in 9 by KO.
I think a lot of people are too hard on Roy. Forget about the L's given to him by Tarver, BHop, Johnson, Calzague and Lebedev. Two out of the five Jones already had beat. So they split. Now you have 3 tough losses that was handed to him. Not bad for a person who won nearly 50 fights before taking a L. . Not to mention a 4 division champ and previous heavyweight champ. Something that none of those guys will ever accomplish. Roy went from middleweight to heavyweight champ. That had not been done in 100 years. You all were sperm banks when the first person set that record and RJ topped it. In my opinion, that is a top 10 accomplishment. And looking at everyone boxing today, it will be 200 years before it is broken again. So people, neither BHop, Tarver, Foreman, Tyson and the list goes on, line all your boxers up...none of them can compare to this major achievement. Now what if....just if....Roy gets a title shot and wins the Cruiserweight title. Hands down, he deserves to be in the top 10 of all time. Give the Ring General his credit. RJ is the G.O.A.T. of this era. So don't say...oh he beat Ruiz not a tough fight. Ruiz was champ for a reason and I think he beat Holyfied twice. And Holyfield wanted no part of RJ....straight ducked him. I ride or die with RJ...never betted against him. Win or lose...I'm going with Jones. And we are going to get that CW belt...and I like our odds against the newly crowned champ or Lebedev. We'll take either one but fresh blood is always good. Stand up for Team Jones.....AND STILLLLLLLLLLLLL
Wlodarczyk will get what he's asking for if he fights Roy Jones Jr. Which he probably should be facing Jones anyway. Jones is way better than Diablo's previous opponents. Roy still is relevant in the boxing game. Hands down, if you compare Jones's record vs BHop's they have nearly the same amount of wins and losses but I would give Jones the edge based on his quality of wins and having been the Heavyweight Champ. Now he continues boxing with the hope of securing a fight with Wlodarczyk. It doesn't get any better than that. That's a huge fight if it happens and it will be sold out in Moscow. At some point Diablo will have to face Roy. So he may as well get it over with because Roy isn't going anywhere and he keeps winning. RJ's confidence is very high right now and it's up to Diablo to change that if he's willing to step up.
I believe the fight can be made with no problem. Jones is a businessman first and he has been wanting this fight for nearly two yrs. RJ is still the Ring General and Wlodarczyk should want to face not only a legend but arguably one of the top 10 greatest fighters of all time......AND STILL........
Glen was probably testing the waters in efforts of earning another shot at Roy Jones but theses waters are very deep. Roy has been able to sustain which adds to his physical gift and overall talent. Cruiserweight is a bit much for the Road Warrior and if he had fought Jones at this level, he would've taken a L with Jones winning by Unanimous Decision. Johnson had a wonderful career but only a few boxers can continue and fight for a world title at over 40 ie currently BHop and Jones Jr.
Congrats to Bad Intentions.... The only boxer to beat Hopkins twice. After this comeback win, if Taylor is not in your top 20 best boxers of all time ....you may not know a lot about boxing. Heck, I say defend the title once then go get Hopkins a third time.
Dawson needed this W. If he could've pulled it off he would've been back in the title hunt. This is a major set back. For every L you need at least 3 key wins. Dawson needs to take his frustration back in the gym and get right physically and mentally. He shouldn't give up he's only a couple of fights away from a title shot. Get some key wins. I would start with the loser of the Pascal fight. Get that W, then go after Kovalev regardless if he wins or lose against BHop.
Too me, he seems to be in that slump that many boxers go through. He can rebound just like many of them do. It looked like Dawson was fighting based on his level of competition. He needs to have more of a killer instinct. Don't give the opponent any confidence and don't leave it in the hands of the judges or you may not get the decision victory. Dawson can be Light Heavyweight champ. It's there for the taking but he has to want it more than his opponent. Only then will he get the title again.
Haye says if Hopkins is still feeling testy, he can still get it! I like BHop, but Haye would have KO'd Hopkins then and he will KO Hopkins now. BHop did the right thing....Dream of facing Haye and then suddenly woke up and realized that it was only a dream. Haye is too quick, skilled and powerful for BHop. Those dirty tricks wouldn't work at Heavyweight. BHop would be too weak to hold on to a beast like Haye. Haye would toy with him for 3 rounds, take him in DEEP WATERS and KO the Alien in 7. One last thing...Haye says...Hopkins must think he's Roy Jones or something....lolol.
Bradley at 154 is not a bad move. I like the fact that "Desert Storm" will fight anybody. He wants to fight the best and the best all have titles. I dont think it really matters if it's Cotto or Canelo but I would like to see him fight at 154. Take the move up slow, get a belt at 154 then gradually go up in weight.
Jones is in much better shape now than when he fought Lebedev. Jones seems highly motivated to get the Cruiserweight title. With the wins he has racked up I don't see why RJ shouldn't get a title shot. I believe "Captain Hook" Jones would get a W against Lebedev if they rematch and would upset the newly crowned CW champ.
Pac will be victim number 50! He gonna get it! 60/40 split with more to Mayweather since he has no losses. Drug testing 3 weeks before the fight and immediately afterwards. Floyd will do this for the sport and fans and put everything else aside. 115-113 Floyd by Decision.
I don't blame him for not taking his fighter 2 levels above where he is currently champ. No need to rush. Pac will be there in two more years and Garcia will be more experienced. We all saw what happened to Broner when he went into deep waters too soon. He got KO'd. Garcia should defend his title and slowly make that jump to welterweight where Bradley, Pac, Broner, and plenty of others will be waiting for his arrival. If he fights Pac too soon, it wouldn't even be a contest. Pac wins in 8 by KO and the only reason it last for 8 rounds is because he toyed with Garcia before deciding to close the curtains. But 2 yrs from now...Garcia may get the edge if Pac isn't at the top of his game.
There is noway Fif would handle a athlete like Floyd. Somebody is smoking some serious puff, puff, pass if you think Fif could beat Mayweather. It doesn't matter if Fif weighed 280. Floyd is too quick and would have a field day. Don't get me wrong, I am a big time 50 fan but you all are comparing apples to oranges. Nobody is beating Floyd...Period. Fif would never step inside the ring and seriously want to take on Floyd. All this social media stuff is just that but, nobody off the streets is beating a highly skilled trained fighter. Fif ain't beating no boxer, MMA fighter, martial artist, ground grappler or anyone of that nature. All of them beat Fif in 2 rounds or less. But in the studio, and on wax...I'll give Fif the edge. That's where he belongs.
It's simple. Cotto wants it in June, then it happens in June unless he's willing to fight in May. Cotto is the champ and Canelo will just have to understand you can't demand the champ to play by your rules. You have to fight wherever the champ decides. I don't think Canelo wants it. He is determined to take Cinco de Mayo away from Mayweather. Not gonna happen. Mayweather is fighting on that day...PERIOD! Going up against Mayweather on that day is a foolish game. Team Canelo need to make better business decisions and take the June date that's open and stop trying to throw weight around or you will lose against Mayweather twice but this time in pay per view buys. Don't test the Cash Cow. Making $$ is above personal conflict. Some how, he will manage to mess up a very good possibility of breaking the 1 million mark in June. Be smart! Canelo probably should be fighting in June and December anyway. But, once Mayweather leaves...Cinco de Mayo is his and nobody will push numbers strong enough to boot him out. Not even Pac and he doesn't want those dates.
Someone should tell Fif that boxing and the music industry is not the same. Fif ended a lot of rappers careers by humiliating them...see JRule for example. But Mayweather will make another 70 plus million in the next month. Now tell me...who is winning this social battle between The Cash Cow and Fif?
Russian promoter Kirill Pchelnikov is putting together a show in Kranodar (Russia) in late September and his company has announced that former four division world champion Roy Jones Jr. is likely going to headline the card. Jones (58-8, 41KOs), 45-years-continues to fight well beyond his best year. He was last seen in action on July 26th in Riga (Latvia) and stopped overmatched British boxer Courtney Fry in five rounds. If the fight goes forward, it would make it the first time since 2011 where Jones saw action more than once in a single
BHop was very upset at Max Kellerman during an interview about his upcoming fight against Kovalev. Google this info. It seems that the alien may have some doubts that he can pull it off.
Mikhail Denisov, president of the Eurasian Professional Boxing Federation and also president of the Russian Professional Boxing Board, says the fight was indeed properly sanctioned. Seems like the World Boxing Council owes Jones an apology for speaking against the fight before properly getting all the facts together.
If Superman doesn't take this fight, he will go down as the dumbest boxer of all time. Team Pascal is even offering him a rematch clause. Belt or no belt he would become a very wealthy man. You got to laugh. He doesn't want anything to do with top fighters. Ali would call him Super Woman. He ran from Kovalev, ducked Hopkins and now hiding from Pascal. That's well over 50 million he is throwing away. He'll be broke in two more yrs. I bet he wants Mayweather. Superman, stop cherry picking and fight or you'll be known as one who's looking to knockout tomato can fighters just to hold on to your belt.
Heck, if he fights Pascal in his home town he would make no less than about 15 million. Take the rematch and he'll make even more with all the extras involved with the networks. Win or lose, he could land a Hopkins or Kovalev fight. Numbers don't lie....he could bank close to 50 million. And if he wins...you talking major cash flow. If he fights anybody other than them, he will be lucky to clear 500k.
Get over it...The bout took place and people paid to see it. If Roy had loss nothing would've been said and the guy would have Jones title. Sounds like someone was left out of the loop regarding money and now they want to say it was unsanctioned . Why this didn't come out before the fight took place? Answer: they was hoping Roy would lose but when he didn't, they had to drop back and punt. Roy got the W....period!
I believe Taylor will pull this off and get the W. Anybody that beats BHop twice should not be doubted. Taylor is far from being washed up. I think he just wasn't dedicated to the sweet science as he should've been and he payed for it. But he is ready to put in work now. Expect a rematch once Taylor gets the W. But unfortunately for Soliman, guys like Canelo and GGG may have Taylor in their sights to gain the IBF title and he may accept the big payday over the rematch. Taylor by decision 115 to 111.

About 2 yrs ago Roy said he would make the greatest comeback in history. Many people laughed at him and begged him to retire. RJ is on a mission. And I believe he will be Cruiserweight Champ. Roy is gonna get Diablo if he continues to hold the CW belt. How could anyone bet against Jones. He has about done it all. The man of steel has found his second wind. Roy fighting twice in 1 yr is great, he needs to be active. If you compare numbers and glance at BHop's and Jones's records...they're very close. The difference is Roy stepped up the game and became HW Champ. Taking all bets, the Ring General is back and it's happening right before your eyes. GET YOUR POPCORN READY!!
E. Taylor says he wants Zab and he would actually fight him today. That would be a great fight for Zab especially since he hasn't had any good opponents call him out until now. Zab get back in the game...give Team Taylor a call and make that happen. It's time to get a win!!
