Zab Judah wants a rematch with Danny Garcia, and Garcia’s father and trainer, Angel Garcia, won’t rule it out. That doesn’t mean a second installment is a go, though.
“If he wants the rematch, whatever [Danny’s adviser] Al Haymon wants to do,” Angel said. “We’ll fight whoever. We’re not running from nobody. I’m not going to say no, because if it does happen I’ll look like a liar. And I’m not going to say yes, because then I’ll look like a liar. Anything is possible. Anything is possible.”
He complimented Judah for his performance against Garcia in April 2013 — “Zab came to fight that time,” Angel said. And he also wouldn’t write Judah off for his performance in a defeat to Paulie Malignaggi this past December, a loss in which Judah says he was ill.
“I think Zab’s still got something,” Angel said. “Just because he looked bad in his last fight doesn’t mean he’s going to look bad in another fight. Styles make fights.”
