The one & only PBF! It would be a dream come true to see him bite the dust.
BTW, looks like I'm not the only one wanting to see him lose. He's leading the poll by a landslide!
Just keep doing what you're doing - have you had any exhibitions?
Might consider holding one even if its small or local just to get your name out there.
They definately look like their worth more than $500 - plus getting them signed would raise the price
I'm trying to put together a show now. Not an easy thing to do, to make it worth while.
The internet is an amazing thing. I need to get on a ton of forums to increase my exposure. The more the merrier, ya know. This place seems to have some traffic. Somes forums are deadsville...
And I may work with this Chap in the UK, who said he has some marketing tools available to him to help promote me in Europe.
Thats why you guys need to get my paintings while they are still affordable. Once I'm famous, you can say I knew JETSKI when he was selling stuff for $500...now his things are going for $5000!
Its the dream I need to keep living. One day...REALITY STRIKES!
yep, I agree in fact I do a little free lance music myself (i'm a composer) and I deliberately under-price my stuff because not everyone is interested in music so if I price it a bit too high then obviously I won't get ANY business whereas if I price it lower (though I know it's worth more, same as your paintings) at least I'll be getting some $$$ so be happy you're at least getting business believe me there's tons of painters out there that aren't as entrepenuerial and have equal technique as you but don't make no $$$ from it.
Didn't see the calzaghe one..can you post it again it might of been one of the ones that disappeared and no one can see.
you're right these are custom, but what I meant is more along the lines of: since I compose music my cousin once as a birthday gift painted a portrait of me but in a classical sort of old 18th century style so she made me half like the type of frock and clothing beethoven/mozart would have worn in a portrait in 1700/1800's so it was neat..that's sort of what I meant by custom in that some of the things she couldn't just copy from a photograph, she just copied my face the rest she sort of had to piece together or paint just from memory. I would consider getting another sort of thing like that done. Oh and do you charge more for paintings with more people in it like just one boxer is one price but if there's 2 boxers in the painting it's more..I know some artists charge more for additional people in the painting etc..
Here is the Calzaghe...like I said, images will show up later.
http://www.geocities.com/jetskimurawski/CAL_LACY_FINALx.JPG
Well, most fight scene's have both fighters & sometimes the ref., so its kind of like a total package for the price I give.
I can do things like you descrbed, but alot of research of images has to be done & bringing things all together...its alot of work. I'd rather find an image that has tremendous impact & they usually make for a dynamic/dramatic piece of art.
I meant money wise..... Im sure that they are expensive it looks like there are a lot of hours of work in them....
Thats funny, but I don't like to think about it. Your right though...they do take a while to paint & even if i get $500 for a painting, it still comes down to not a hell of alot per hour. But this is what I love doing, can't find a regular job & must keep working at my passion until I get my break one day. Once I find clients willing to pay $1200+/- for a painting, I'll just keep struggling along.
:smashfrea
Hey Guys...last time I was here was in May. I've been keeping fairly busy doing my artwork for people over at ESB forum.
Being that Xmas is right around the corner & a painting makes a great eye-popping gift under the tree, I was hoping some of the members here would consider this a good idea.
And it doesn't have to be a painting of boxers. As you can see on my artblog, I've recently had someone in the UK request 2 paintings from me of Winona Ryder.
http://myartnsoul.blogspot.com/
So give it some thought. I'd really love to paint someone Frankenstein! Do we have any huge Frank fans out there???
Just post a pic of what you would like & we can talk about it. Or send me a pm...
:beerchug:
Hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving!
BTW, sorry for all the red X's on the old posts. Those images where linked from Geocities, which doesn't exist anyone. Everything I showed in the old posts can be seen on my blog.
Something like this

BTW I wanna give this (pic below) as a gift to a buddy of mine named Jrosales13

Thats a nice pic of Arum & Pac together. Did you see this double portrait I did for a friend of Gary Shaw's? He gave it to Gary for his Birthday this past October. It was done on an 18"x24" canvas & I charged him $325. He said Shaw flipped his wig when he gave it to him!

500 not alot at all. my aunt and cousin are artists as well and price some of their stuff sometimes in the thousands.
How long does it take to complete one of your paintings? I'm guessing anywhere from 30-50 hours if not more, which is basically a full work week worth of painting so 500 is quite reasonable as that's how much most people make per week etc..
by the way where in jersey you at, I'm staying near vernon, NJ at the moment.
p.s. do you do custom paintings ??
Well, maybe someday I'll start to demand more for my art. If I say $1000, I may not get much interest. But for $500, at least I'm staying pretty busy doing things people want.
Your right...on average about 40 hrs to paint one. I'm more central NJ, around New Brunswick.
Custom paintings??? Thats what these are. People tell me what they want & I do it for them.
Did you see the Calzaghe Lacy that went to Australia? I was real pleased with the results there.
u need to do one for my idol juan manuel marquez.... or erik morales vs pacquiao I
Just let me know, Bro...JMM is one of my favorite fighters. Matter of fact, BOTH Marquez Brothers are.
Sorry guys...something to do with my webhosting site where I UL the images.
Try to give a look again in awhile (1 hour or so) & they should show up then.
:beerchug:
hey man those prior post from me were just me joking around. Really though I'm very interested. Do you mind pm'ing me your email address and I can work out something via that way.
I wanted one of Pacquiao and another one of Tyson. Outta curiosity how much did you charge for that pic of Shaw? If it's better for you...maybe you can disclose your prices via pm. Thx in advance.
I will pm you my email. Nothing to hide. really. Once everone see my blog, you'll know who I am.
I currently still have in my collection a painting of Pac KO'ing Hatton (on blog) but that one is a bit more pricey. I mentioned in my last post that I received $325 for the portrait of Shaw & his wife Judy.
I'd really like to paint Pacquiao again. Oh, & I also have a Tyson/Holyfield painting that is not shown on my blog. I can find a pic of it...give me some time.
But yeah, if your interested, lets talk about this via email.
:beerchug:
jetski you're only limited to 4 pics per POST not per thread so you don't have to keep making new threads
OK...thanks. Ya gotta remember that I'm Polish!!!:smashfrea
these are nice, great paintings btw

Thank you! I still have the SRR vs Basillio in my collection. Hoping to have Carmen sign it next summer at the International Boxing Hall of fame. The Pac vs Diaz was commissioned by a Pac fan who lives in Virginia.
I've shipped my paintings as far away as Australia & Hong Kong! BTW, I live in New Jersey...
yea i know jetski. he's from ESB. He's the biggest adamek/golota nuthugger in existence.
He's to golota/adamek what PacDbest is to pacman. just warning ya'll.
Yeah, I guess you could say that!;-) But Adamek deserves praise...he a real throwback.
Mid 40's??? Try mid 50's. But that doesn't matter. Age is only a number.
Some people are interested in prices?
Well, I'm in New Jersey, USA. And shipping to far away lands like Hong Kong & Australia was not as bad as I thought. Around $55. The price I give for a painting icludes everything. All my supplies & shipping. Depending on how complex the scene is will determine the final price. On average, right now I'm selling most of my works in the $500 range. That may sound like alot to some, but believe me, everyone that has bought a painting from me is an extremely satisfied customer.
So start saving up, guys!:boxing: I love to paint fighters. Right now I getting ready to start a Bernard Dunne for someone in Ireland. After that, a killer Golota/Bowe for a dude in Texas. After that, someone from the UK is interested in a Cotto. I have in mind a terrific Pacquiao/Oscar & a Mosley/Oscar to do that I know will make for unbelieveable paintings.
Trying to stay busy with this. I have been laid off from my civil engineering job for 9 months now. If I can keep busy with my art, maybe I'll never have to do that engineering crap again!
I'm a Damn Artist!!!:burnout:
Another spam thread
This isn't SPAM, fool! This is art! My livelyhood!!!
And I wanna paint that Pac pic in your sig! I've seen it before & it would make an awesome painting.
People are amazed at my artwork & love talking about them of another forum. I'm just trying to get some more exposure, ya know?
:boxing:
who's the author to this one?
http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_dwrEG-6gKzo/SgXT20RW4II/AAAAAAAAAEI/zid8zYpNmFE/s400/BLUE.jpeg
That is my work. Prob done 20 yrs ago. This piece was very influential in my son's artwork.
Do you like it???
Where did everyone go? On my other thread that has seemed to disappear, I had a few guys intertested in talking about maybe doing some art for them...
:hijacked:
Same here. Id like to see the Zags/Lacy one.

They're all right here:

:beerchug:
Hello Mr. Moderators,
It seems that my other thread "JETSKI has joined the Forum" has been whacked. Is that because I'm inquiring if any members would be interested in purchasing some of my custom made artwork?
I was going to ask if it was a thread that should be in the Lounge here at BoxingScene, instead of the Non-Stop Forum.
I was hoping there wouldn't be a problem. For years I've been doing boxing paintings for people at ESB forum & there has never been any problem. As a matter of fact, the members love ot when I post a new painting & they all comment of it.
Please let me know if this id something I can do here & where the approperate forum would be.
Thanks!
The presentation of that painting made it on Youtube!
Heres the video of the presentation. Needless to say, I was very excited meeting Adamek.

Theres more, too!:boxing:
Welcome to boxingscene! I've seen your comments at the other website, so I know you're an excellent poster. :fing02:
Good to see another Tomasz Adamek fan at boxingscene! :)
Thanks!:beerchug:
Seeing your avatar makes me want to get the heck out of NJ. I guess thats somewhere in Canada.
Ever hear of Manniwaki (sp?) about 100 miles north of Ottawa & Hull?
Around how many are your paintings.......
Not sure I understand your question...
All the paintings shown on my blog are works that were painting by me. Wait until I start showing the wild things my son is into!!!
He's an even better artist than I am...but his style is completely different. Oh yeah...& his prices are quite higher, too.
just wondering how come you don't have floyd mayweather in any of your paintings? Are you an avid boxing fan? Also, what's the price range on your artworks?
Oh yeah, Bigtime. My father & most of his Brothers fought professionally during the depression. We were always talking boxing in our house. Its in my blood!

just wondering how come you don't have floyd mayweather in any of your paintings? are you an avid boxing fan? also, what's the price range on your artworks?
You guys are keeping me hopping, but thats what I'm here for. And thank you for the compliments on my work!
You see, 29 months ago, I was laid off from my civil engineering job, & I haven't been able to find work in that field anywhere here in NJ. And I'm not gonna go work for $12/hr, when I made that kinda $$$ in $1988!!! Plus, with the art talent I have, I must push to promote my work wherever possible, so I can stay busy & continue to sell paintings. Until you really establish a name for yourself, believe me, it isn't ez. But once I'm established, then my artwork won't be as afforable as it is now.
Price range? Lets just say I treat every project individually, so I can't give a price util I know what it is that I'm gonna paint. But as an example, the Calzaghe/Lacy & the Gatti/Ward were sold for just above $500...$525 & $550 respectively. And that may sound like a lot to some, but if you go online & look up sports artist, these guys ask $1000's for their art. And some of them aren't as good as I am...not to brag.
OK, I think I need to respond to a few other posts.
Thanks again for appreciating my paintings!
:beerchug:
can you paint me a picture of Bob Arum so I can hang it above my fireplace?
Seriously???
Well, if you are, post your favorite pic of him & I'll give you a price...
But I think your pulling my leg!
