I'd like to introduce myself. I'm JETSKI...a big, long time boxing fan. I have been posting at another popular boxing forum for many years.
I'm an aspiring sports artist, who really likes to paint boxing scene's. Here are some examples of paintings that I've done for people around the world.
So check it out & if your interested in having me paint your favorite fighter, just send me a pm.
Thanks again & I'll be back to talk boxing, too!

Mark Knophler of the band Dyer Straights. I basically can paint anything. It doesn't have to be boxing. Shipped this to Scotland.

Margarito vs Cotto I still have this one.
http://www.geocities.com/jetskimurawski/MARGO_COTTO_PAINT.jpg
I'll show more in another few threads. Seems that I'm limited to only 4 images.
That is my work. Prob done 20 yrs ago. This piece was very influential in my son's artwork.
Do you like it???
I do, I like abstract art. It's very simple, yet it can be very deep... and it goes great in any room!!
hey man those prior post from me were just me joking around. Really though I'm very interested. Do you mind pm'ing me your email address and I can work out something via that way.
I wanted one of Pacquiao and another one of Tyson. Outta curiosity how much did you charge for that pic of Shaw? If it's better for you...maybe you can disclose your prices via pm. Thx in advance.
I will pm you my email. Nothing to hide. really. Once everone see my blog, you'll know who I am.
I currently still have in my collection a painting of Pac KO'ing Hatton (on blog) but that one is a bit more pricey. I mentioned in my last post that I received $325 for the portrait of Shaw & his wife Judy.
I'd really like to paint Pacquiao again. Oh, & I also have a Tyson/Holyfield painting that is not shown on my blog. I can find a pic of it...give me some time.
But yeah, if your interested, lets talk about this via email.

Thats a nice pic of Arum & Pac together. Did you see this double portrait I did for a friend of Gary Shaw's? He gave it to Gary for his Birthday this past October. It was done on an 18"x24" canvas & I charged him $325. He said Shaw flipped his wig when he gave it to him!

Hey Guys...last time I was here was in May. I've been keeping fairly busy doing my artwork for people over at ESB forum.
Being that Xmas is right around the corner & a painting makes a great eye-popping gift under the tree, I was hoping some of the members here would consider this a good idea.
And it doesn't have to be a painting of boxers. As you can see on my artblog, I've recently had someone in the UK request 2 paintings from me of Winona Ryder.

So give it some thought. I'd really love to paint someone Frankenstein! Do we have any huge Frank fans out there???
Just post a pic of what you would like & we can talk about it. Or send me a pm...
:beerchug:
Hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving!
BTW, sorry for all the red X's on the old posts. Those images where linked from Geocities, which doesn't exist anyone. Everything I showed in the old posts can be seen on my blog.

Welcome to boxingscene! I've seen your comments at the other website, so I know you're an excellent poster. :fing02:
Good to see another Tomasz Adamek fan at boxingscene! :)
Thanks!:beerchug:
Seeing your avatar makes me want to get the heck out of NJ. I guess thats somewhere in Canada.
Ever hear of Manniwaki (sp?) about 100 miles north of Ottawa & Hull?
yep, I agree in fact I do a little free lance music myself (i'm a composer) and I deliberately under-price my stuff because not everyone is interested in music so if I price it a bit too high then obviously I won't get ANY business whereas if I price it lower (though I know it's worth more, same as your paintings) at least I'll be getting some $$$ so be happy you're at least getting business believe me there's tons of painters out there that aren't as entrepenuerial and have equal technique as you but don't make no $$$ from it.
Didn't see the calzaghe one..can you post it again it might of been one of the ones that disappeared and no one can see.
you're right these are custom, but what I meant is more along the lines of: since I compose music my cousin once as a birthday gift painted a portrait of me but in a classical sort of old 18th century style so she made me half like the type of frock and clothing beethoven/mozart would have worn in a portrait in 1700/1800's so it was neat..that's sort of what I meant by custom in that some of the things she couldn't just copy from a photograph, she just copied my face the rest she sort of had to piece together or paint just from memory. I would consider getting another sort of thing like that done. Oh and do you charge more for paintings with more people in it like just one boxer is one price but if there's 2 boxers in the painting it's more..I know some artists charge more for additional people in the painting etc..
Here is the Calzaghe...like I said, images will show up later.
http://www.geocities.com/jetskimurawski/CAL_LACY_FINALx.JPG
Well, most fight scene's have both fighters & sometimes the ref., so its kind of like a total package for the price I give.
I can do things like you descrbed, but alot of research of images has to be done & bringing things all together...its alot of work. I'd rather find an image that has tremendous impact & they usually make for a dynamic/dramatic piece of art.
