https://www.facebook.com/share/p/18LARXyLiF/?mibextid=wwXIfr !<<< this story resurfaced this week. Reminded me of this thread. It still amazes me that she said had the nerve to say she wanted to get the belts so she could show the kids SMH
one thing I told her I was dead on accurate about. I was right 100%. I told her she’s only allowed to even speak in the game because of her connection to Shane, but now that they are divorced, she will be discarded and never heard from AGAIN in terms of having any influence. I don’t think she believed me, but I’ll bet she believes me now
just google mapped it
thats a nice hill jog up to the location, even good for a nice walk
you go to YouTube and watch a video I did of the camp. I start down the hill and I drive up it and show you what it looks like when you get to the top
PS: everyone will have full access to the camp. The gym and the kitchen you will be able to see all these house and where all the sparring partner stayed in the cabins where Angelo Dundee and Bini Brown stayed as well
UPDATE: the movie is showing on Tubi and is also on prime now. Also, if anyone doesn’t have one of those and would want to see the movie, let me know and I can give you a link to the movie on YouTube where it’s on the channel of mine where it is set to unlisted so I would have to give you the actual link to watch it because you won’t be able to search for it
Professional boxing is about monetary compensation, the belts are just trophies. Pros want to be PAID.
no. TROPHIES are trophies. Every champion I’ve known has kept his championship belt prominently in his house
FYI: International Boxing Hall of Famer’s Roy Jones Jr, Ron Borges and Russ Anber are in it…former heavyweight champ Shannon Briggs, too … it’s available on Tubi and Prime…
- - I think you must mean you want to connect to folks who are into boxing paraphernalia.
Anyone here for John's exemplary boxing cause?
the gloves and pictures and posters, programs and magazines and things like that
I had to look it up because I certainly did not see it live. It was a nice KO. I'm too drunk right now to think of what we've had so far in 3 months. So until I come back to my senses, I'll give it that. Though it's still super early in the year to not see something better. We'll see.
Yeah for sure. There’s plenty of time …there might be a better one, but it won’t be by much. Stevens was about as devastating as you can get. If something beats it, it won’t be by much
too much fire power from butler
His power-strength-endurance-etc at 168 is so mich than @ 154 and 160. Best move he ever made was super middle. His KO’s have been highlight reels at this weight.
10000 pct… and my experience fighters are much more down to earth than other professional athletes and I assume it’s because they have not been sheltered by college walls and professional training camps and secure training facilities. Fighters generally train throughout the amateur and pro careers in the gyms with everyone else of every level.
I will say this, I have hung out with Mark Breland, Roy Jones, Michael Olajide, Vinny Paz, Sean O’ Grady, Marlon Starling, Iran Barkley, Junior Jones, Chuck Zito, Lillo Brancato, Michael Olajide, Yaqui Lopez, Danny Lopez, Richie Kates, Mike Rossman, Roberto Duran, Roy Jones and many many others during Hall of Fame weekend in Atlantic City
I’ve been telling people for several years now that the Atlantic City Boxing Hall of Fame is going to take over as the best boxing Hall of Fame and the most desire to attend in the game. The entire event from beginning to end is awesome and the interaction with fighters there is unbelievable and ridiculously easy. If you go to my YouTube channel, you can see a video I put up where we hung out with Iran Barkley and Roberto Duran Duran as they talked about their fight as they chopped it up inside the lounge at the hard rock on the boardwalk during the last ceremony a few months ago. It’s like that every year and some of the biggest names are definitely there
Winky (Foxwoods)
Big George (Atlantic city)
Vinny Paz
Hector vCamacho (providence)
Brian Vilorio (Foxwoods)
shannon Briggs (Taunton RI)
Willie Pep (Foxwoods)
John Scully (Foxwoods)
Peter Manfredo
Joey Spina
Ray Oliviera
Andrew Murray
Carl Daniels
there are more I can't remember offhand.
i was spoiled. The first two pro fighters I ever met were Willie Pep and Muhammad Ali when I was 15
Thank you for bringing some rationality to proceedings. Appreciate your contributions here.
I'm sure the third fight will happen.
thank you, my man. I think sometimes people forget that boxing is a business and it’s just not always as simple as it should be or as it seems to make fights. There is a lot that goes on behind the scenes that dictate who fights who and when and where
ICEMAN JOHN SCULLY ... I agree but I don't think Bivol is ready to feel the pain again yet... Despite his (lengthy) recovery I haven't read or heard anything from him for that thing to happen ... He'll have to face his demons though... There's got to be a 3rd one...
yeah and also I always keep in mind in situations like this that fighters have managers and investors, and promoters to answer to, and even if they want to fight to happen, they can be overruled by the people who control their money
PS: Hall of Famers Ron Borges, Russ Anber and Roy Jones are in it plus Larry Barnes, Shannon Briggs, etc.
honestly, I didnt mind the aspect of it where he had the film showing on a TV, as you mentioned. Ive seen that technique before, I didnt mind it. There were a couple minor mistakes that only someone very familiar with boxing in Hartford would have caught
Inactivity is a major disgrace in boxing, reason why it’s not growing, ffs, we can’t see two of the best in Artur and Bivol fight more than once a year is a damn shame, how can they expect to have a decent fan base arghh Saudi overs effect
being completely real, we have to call it what it is. The current era literally sucks. None of these guys fight on any kind of regular basis. It’s ridiculous. Professional fighters -even the best of the best- don’t even fight anymore. You hardly ever see them fight.
I'm pretty sure he'll have a tune-up too...he had one lined up before the end of the year which fell through at the last minute.
It would be stupid to face Bivol again after 20 months of inactivity!
Artur DEFINITELY stays in shape between fights, he is almost obsessed with slways being ready
April 6,1987…watched Hagler-Leonard on closed circuit at the Springfield, Mass. civic center with my coach and stabemates…at one point in the fight,Ray answered Marvin with a multipunch flurry and some guy right behind me yelled out, “Thats right! Back up, baldie!!!!”
Jin is nice peoples i have talked to her on facebook and here,if anything i like what she did for her kids its clearly stated those are the kids belts not hers.
No, they are SHANE’s belts. Are you kidding? She is vindictive and that’s the end of it. Shane should have the belts and he can leave them to the kids in his will.
