Former world title challenger Steven Butler returns to the ring on March 5.In a revenge mission for Eye of the Tiger Promotions, he faces Switzerland’s Ramadan Hiseni, who has drawn with Butler’s stablemate Shamil Khataev and defeated another, Alexandre Gaumont.

They will fight at the Casino de Montreal,

“Hiseni has already caused two upsets in Quebec. It’s clear we can’t take him lightly – but enough is enough. On March 5, the job will get done. If he’s expecting the same result as the first two times, he’s the one who will be surprised,” said Butler, who is a 37-5-1 (31 KOs) veteran. Butler, 30, is 3-0 (3 KOs) in his last three bouts.

Butler is trained by former light heavyweight contender John Scully, who said; “I believe moving up to super middleweight was the best decision Steven has made in his entire career. Over the last three fights, I’ve seen him reborn in the gym. He’s stronger, more powerful, and has better stamina. He has a champion’s mindset, and now he has all the tools to become one.”

Hiseni, 22-2-2 (8 KOs), and from Zurich, said: “As with Khataev and Gaumont, my mindset is the same: veni, vidi, vici. I expect the result to be the same as well. To boxing fans around the world: I promise a high-level fight, and above all, I promise victory on March 5.”

Like Butler, he has moved up to 168lbs, although he defeated Gaumont at middleweight in his last fight in December.

“Hiseni represents a big risk – I know that better than anyone,” admitted Eye of the Tiger promoter Camille Estephan. “For me and EOTTM, this is a revenge fight, but for Steven, it’s his chance to prove he’s a serious contender at super middleweight.”

Also on the March bill, WBA No. 3 Lenar Perez, 15-0 (14 KOs), meets South African light heavyweight veteran Isaac Chilemba, 27-10-3 (11 KOs) and, at welterweight, Montreal’s Christopher “Machine Gun” Guerrero, who is 16-0 with nine stoppages, faces Dominican-born, Gatineau-based Samuel “Chocolatico” Rodriguez, who is 12-0 (11 KOs).

“Chris hasn’t performed to our expectations in his last two fights. We really want to show that he belongs at elite level, and I’m very confident that this is the fight where the world will see it,” promised Guerrero’s trainer, Giuseppe Moffa.

“This is an extremely important fight for Samuel’s career. It will be an intense battle, but Samuel is on a mission: to make a name for himself on the world stage. On March 5, the message will be sent,” said Rodriguez’s trainer, Romi El-Ghourani.

Meanwhile, at super lightweight, Jhon “El Tigre” Orobio, 16-0 (14 KOs), faces Puerto Rico’s contender Yomar Alamo, 22-5-1 (13 KOs) and there are spots on the bill for former Teofimo Lopez foe Steve Claggett, 39-8-2 (27 KOs), and Moreno “The Soldier” Fendero, 13-0 (10 KOs).
