floyd's jab won't mean much against pac, pac has shown to counter the jab many times. using a jab against pac is almost a non issue now. also being slightly bigger than pac means nothing. pac busts up guys whether they're 5 inches taller than him or the same height.
pac has:
- super quick devastating straight left
- more power
- quicker movement
- quicker combination puncher
- throws from weird angles (harder to anticipate his attacks)
- bigger heart (not a coward health first like fraud mayweather)
floyd will have to be more active if he wants to beat pac because pac will completely outwork him and out land him with his quick left hand and awkward combinations. but floyd has slowed down now and is more health first than ever.
It's gonna b so funny when floyd completely outboxes pac and makes him look normal
Britain has always ruled
Yanks spawned from us
Back to boxing...yeh we doing gd, and a gd variety of ethnicity too
We just need a Mexican Brit n fili Brit
Honestly. Im going to be honest. I dont like him, hes ugly, unappealing, horrible personality, so i try and limit any exposure i give to the wife beating ego maniac. But i judge a guy on his skills, regardless of personality. For example i dont like Amir Khan, but hes one of my favourites as i think hes tremendously talented. When hes on hes on, and there no denying is incredible speed and skill.
Has Floyd ever done that for me??Nah. The fights ive seen, whether live or on youtube were as follows.
Castillo-We all agree he lost that one.
Hatton-got the pay per view. Hatton did terribly well considering he was fighting floyd at a weight class the pundits said he should never fight at. Pus Cortez was disgraceful. however Hatton still caught Floyd a few times despite disadvantages. Not impressed yet.
ODH-Draw. Crap fight where a past prime fighter was pressing all the action and floyd ducked in his usual awkward way. No one won that fight. Certainly no masterclass.
Ortiz-Just when i thought the fight was exciting, floyd cheated and pot shotted his last "ko". Pathetic as the fight was quite good untill then.
Canelo-Fair cop, i scored this 4 rounds victory for Floyd. This is the best ive ever seen him fight personally. Even then though he weight drained a green fighter. But fairs fair, he boxed well imo.
Maidana fight 1-Draw again. I am not making this up. I Couldnt quite give it to Maidana as he tired in the second half of the fight. So a draw is fair.
Pacquio fight-i watched this a week later on youtube knowing it would be crap. Again a Draw. No problem floyd getting the nod. Pacquio had one arm, but still landed the better punches. Floyd had the fight he wanted. Bit again, i was not impressed.
In conclusion, the media keep telling me "genius this and genius that". I dont see it. Lets face it, if he wasnt America he would be like Rigondeux. He just doesnt dominate opponents like say Wladimir Klitschko does. Wlad for 10/11 years has literally barely lost a round, and probably KOED 80-90 percent of his opponents. I never feel wowed by floyd, i never feel appreciated that ive watched something truely great.
All i see is a very good boxer aming dam sure he had every advantage for the fight and being extremely defensive whilst doing enough to make it tricky for the judges.
I will not miss him when he retires...
Marquez u plick...
And this isn't even Prime Canelo yet. Floyd fought a green retard version of Canelo.
Floyd would pot shot any version of Canelo to UD
What makes u think this Canelo could do anything with floyd? He destroyed Kirkland who came straight at him with little defense
As if the floyd fight would b anything like that...
U can count on one hand how many proper shots floyd has taken and he still didn't go down or even seemed troubled for long
Tyson was evasive
Floyd is a defensive wizard
I'm 24 years old now and want to start boxing but i also want to make something of it so will be 100% dedicated do you think it's too late for me to ever become pro?
I've always been interested in boxing and my dad showed me a few stances, other then that I have no experience at all lol please be realistic as possible (sorry if my grammar sucks btw).
Na man go for it
But b realistic
Are you looking to go pro, get a few amateur fights under ur belt or keep fit and spar??
P.s. I starting at 25 till 30. Didn't want to go pro or even have any amateur fights but I did want to train and spar. If anything it' boosts confidence, keeps u fit and ur aggression in check and u give a lot more respect to what the pros do in the ring
Go pro mate but also for the fitness and sparring, I just wanted advice from people who actually box/know what there talking about lol I just get a bit put off when I see all these pro's started really young and I just thought to myself "even if I work extremely hard because of my age I'm ****ed" meh just a nagging doubt.
Go for it, youll know after a year or two where ur future lies
U sound like ur from UK? Whereabouts?
Nobody is forced into buying it.
If anyone is buying $7k tickets when they can't really afford to then they're stupid and it's hard to feel for them.
Anyway i don't see a problem. What did anyone expect? Mayweather was Mayweather. Pacquiao wasn't good enough to keep his end of the bargain and he was outclassed. It was always a possibility.
Casual fans wouldn't know this
All they knew was fight of century and 'sign me up!'
No no no No no no No no no No no no No no no No no no No no no No no no No no no No no no No no no No no no No no no No no no No no no No no no No no no No no no No no no No no no No no no No no no No no no No no no No no no No no no No no no No no no No no no No no no No no no No no no No no no No no no No no no No no no
Pls no
It will never happen.
If Boxing's biggest event only managed to have Santa Cruz and Lomachenko vs no hopers I doubt they will get Cotto, Khan, Canelo on the same card.
Stranger things have happened
This is the life of the rich... Go to some fancy ass restaurant with 1 year waits and you'll see salads at $500 a plate... $1000 tacos is not that far off... it's not how much it costs to make its how much you're willing to pay And Mays willing to pay a lot..
Dunno where you been eating but ain't no restaurant that charge $500 for a salad
Unless your getting your salad tossed while your eating it
I guess JMM did kill the hype that night with his nasty knock out from hell :trink26: Pac PPV have gone down a lot since being knock the fock out to china by JMM
Well come May, it'll get a massive boost so who cares about the 400k :boxing:
One of the best bumps of all time. The BBE!
Floyd will never fight Mosely, because Mosely is a beast again now!! Immediately fights and dominates Mosely after JMM.
Floyd will never fight Cotto, and he will for sure never fight him at his best weight!!! Floyd makes a fight with Cotto at 154 about 10 days after Cotto leaves Top Rank. Good fight with Mayweather getting the wide margin of victory.
Floyd will never fight Pacquaio!!! Fights Pacquaio at 147 and nearly shuts him out. But shoulder injuries...LOL
A couple years later you could add Canelo to this list. His haters were begging him to fight Canelo and said he'd never do it, then he does and schools Canelo and he still gets little credit.
Floyd's resume is complete now, there are no glaring omissions from this era, he has fought 10+ HOFers. He has fought and beaten generations of top fighters from Castillo and Corrales to Gatti and Hatton to De la Hoya and Mosely to Pacquaio and Cotto to Ortiz and Canelo. Anyone he didn't fight of note was blasted by one of the fighters he did fight. Tszyu got smoked by Hatton. Margarito was smoked by Mosely, Pacquaio, and eventually Cotto. Cotto destroyed Sergio Martinez who destroyed Paul Williams.
There is no one left to fight.
People just hate it when others are doing good
Floyd will never get props
