Rubio came out attemptingto throw combos for the first time in the fight, but he's still standing riight in front of Pavlik, who kept backing him into the ropes and delivering to the body, Pavlik comfortably wins another round.
Aside from 140lb, at the time Floyd fought the best in the division.
I think there would be no argument that Floyd fought the best at 130, and cleaned out the division.
At 135, he fought the best (the best being Jose Luis Castillo).
At 140, The best (being Hatton) blatently, and openly stated that a fight with Floyd Mayweather was premature.
At 147, in 2006 the Best was Zab Judah (not Margarito, and not Cotto ). Zab Judah got beat by Baldomir. Who Floyd also beat.
The only time where Floyd where it would of been at least feasible for Floyd to fight Cotto, would of been during 2007. Floyd instead elected to fight 2 of the top 3 biggest & richest fights in boxing history. One of them being a long awaited fight with the undefeated king of the one division which had been questionable. And the other was the top Jr. MW at the time.
Sure Floyd doesn't have names like Hearns, Duran or Hagler on his resume, but the man can only beat who's around at the time.
And it looks like you can add the names "Manny Pacquiao and Juan Manuel Marquez" in the near future to his already impressive resume.
Thank you for bringing some logic to the conversation. He beat Judah, and Baldomir was the guy who beat Gatti and Judah to become undisputed WW champ. Those were the guys at the top of the division. And if comes back, it'll be for a superfight that will only make his resume more impressive.

lol, I like Valero as a fighter, but this tattoo is ****ing retarded.
And they should get rid of Emmanuel " I KNEW THIS WAS GOING TO HAPPEN/THIS IS TURNING OUT HOW I EXPECTED IT TOO " Steward
lmao, so true.
But I agree, B-Hop's doing a fantastic job. Get rid of Lennox now.
So your ranking is:
1: Pwill
2: Winky
:rofl::rofl::rofl:
That's not what I'm saying at alll... I'm talking about matchups man. I wouldn't 'rank' Wright above Kessler, Pavlik, Abraham, Bute or Taylor, but if it came down to it, I'd pick him in fight because stylistically I think he's a bad matchup for all of them. They're all great, strong fighters, but I don't think they're well rounded enough boxers to hang with Winky. And I think Kessler would beat everyone else from 160 to 168 (maybe not Abraham, that would be a war), but I have a hard time seeing him getting a fight any of those guys until he gets all this legal shit cleared up.
If that happened, Khan would get a lot more credit, and he would deserve it. Valero's a crude fighter, but he still hits like a truck, and if he could either fight cute enough to keep Valero from catching him clean once or withstand a good, clean shot from Valero, that would answer a lot of questions about him.
Jayzus. Am I f'ing perceptive or what? These little a-holes cluttering the dump up are 11 or 12 years old. Give me the f'ing ban key and I'll ban 95% of them and make a cogent and coherent boxing forum out of this nursery school!
Says the man who called the Klitschkos the two best HWs in history...
Valero dosn't move enough, Hatton wouldn't give him room to breathe. I think Hatton takes him out via the body inside 4.
They both fight coming forward, and it's tough to know how either of them would react when being swarmed against the ropes. Hatton's physically stronger, but I think Valero could hit Hatton on his way in all night.
